#FullFlight #AmericanAirlines #AirbusA319
I always liked that America West livery, it was so 1990's. The A319 you were on (N838AW) was manufactured in 2005, and I was trying to figure out if it came out of the factory with that paint, or was repainted later by American back to the retro paint. I only flew on AW a few times in the early 2000's, they were one of the original "low cost" carriers in the U.S. Experience was mixed, they weren't known to be the greatest airline. In 2000, flew from PHL to SNA via connection in LAS, and the plane for the connecting flight was about 2 hours late. Although I believe they were one of the first to eliminate the Saturday night stayover requirement for low fares, which I think was a good thing. I think they picked up some business travel when they did this. I have flown in and out of TUL many times, made the TUL to DFW flight a few times myself when on AA. Years ago, I remember an AA flight from DFW to TUL on a DC-10 with about 30 pax on board. They used the DFW-TUL route to ferry the wide bodies to the AA maintenance base in TUL, they probably still do this.
I appreciate the work you do, so we can enjoy the awesome content. Hats off to you and thank you, happy landings! ✈❤✈❤✈❤✈❤✈
Thanks my friend! I really appreciate that.
awesome video! what a nice aircraft! greetings from new zealand
Glad you enjoyed it my friend. Thanks for watching, and greetings back to you from the heartland of the US. Kansas is where I call home.
The A/P disconnect tone at 59:46 👌👌👌
Awesome video! That's sweet, it's my old hometown airline livery! America West:)
Thanks my friend! Hopefully I'll be lucky enough to fly more of the heritage liveries in the future! Thanks for watching man!
@@sla31 the PSA one flies in and out of PHX everyday. It's an A320-200. Have it on my second to last video on my channel
Skylite Productions I hoping for you to. Do TWA one
Nice video! My wife just flew on N838AW this morning from ICT to DFW....
That's awesome. I saw some photos pop up on some DFW spotting pages of N838AW yesterday. I wonder if it was her flight? Thanks for watching my friend!
I love the IAE V2500 :)
Super video my friend have flown that route many times!!!
Me too my friend. In fact I've flown it three times in the last two weeks. I was lucky enough, again, to get the Astrojet on it last week! Thanks for watching!
Really nice video, awesome views on takeoff and landing!
Thanks my friend!
@@sla31 You welcome!
Top Video and a real "Butter" Landing😃👍
Thanks my friend!
Awesome video!! Cool livery!! :)
Thanks for watching my friend!
Wow.. I can't believe how many great shots of the cabin you took in this video! Why do you never take shots like this anymore?
Thank you for sharing, awesome flight!
And thank you for watching!
Beautiful views from the America West Heritage A319! How much time to you think you’ve spent holding a camera to the window? Big like from me!
Probably used a gopro with a suction cup
Oh way more than I'd like to admit. Just the last two weeks it's hours worth. Josh, although I do have a suction cup mount for both my GoPro and iPhone, I don't use them. I want to have ultimate control over the footage at all times, and I can't get that with a suction cup mount. I hold the camera by hand at all times to make sure I"m getting the best possible footage. Thanks for watching guys!
Yes I think it's great as well I've got an America West 737 model
Skylite Productions I use a suction cup mount on my old iPod touch 5 and this allows me to use my iPhone for taking still photos. It does restrict me being able to control how I want the camera positioned like you said. But again, it frees me to be able to use my phone for still photos and flight tracking
Now that is a beautiful livery! 😊
It is indeed! I love that American showcases the liveries of the airlines that have helped make American what it is today. More airlines should do this!
Skylite Productions true that and America West used to be my hometown in Arizona 😊
Nice touch on the landing.
Thanks for watching my friend!
Great Video! I love the color of the aircraft :) Did they paint the aircraft for a specific reason?
Yes they did. This is the, now defunct, America West Airlines livery. It is part of American’s “heritage” livery series where they’ve painted a number of planes in the liveries of the airlines they’ve absorbed over the years. Other heritage liveries that American has include TWA, Piedmont, PSA, and others.
Skylite Productions think the TWA one should have been more 0f TWA original white not the current way it is
super smooth landing ...
Thanks for watching my friend!
Just found out today that I'm going to be flying Southwest Airlines from DAL-OKC. I'm hoping I get to fly on a state paint design or one of the desert gold planes.
Speaking of, incredibly lucky you got to fly on a heritage American Airlines plane. I can't help but wonder if some of those grounds crews are thinking "Oh look at this, I get to work with a heritage plane today!" lol
The ground crews definitely noticed. I saw several of them taking pictures on their phones. Fun fact. I flew this route again last week and was lucky enough to get the Astrojet! I hope you get one of the special liveries! Thanks for watching my friend!
Smooooth landing
It was indeed! Thanks for watching man!
America West Livery, Fog in vents due to humidity, grounded Max 8's, very talkative female sitting closeby, nice and sunny at FL220, LOL, pushing credit card sales in flight, there was severe weather and tornado warnings on this day, you got in before the bad weather. Nice flight. BTW, I flew on America West when it still was America West.
This flight had it all didn't it? I never had the pleasure to fly America West. Of course, being from the midwest, they didn't really have much of a presence here. Thanks for watching my friend!
Excellent 👍👍
Thanks for watching my friend!
V2524=Noisy & Cool Engine
Yes indeed! Thanks for watching man!
I miss the AW font
Was this aircraft ever painted into a USAirways livery?
No, this aircraft has never worn anything but the America West colors. It was delivered new to America West in 2005, and then US Airways titles were added to the heritage livery when America West and US Airways merged in 2006. Then of course, the titles were changed again to American Airlines around 2014. So, with the exception of the titles, this aircraft has worn the American West livery for its entire life.
Is that american airlines america west
Yes, this was a flight on their America West heritage A319.
I am a little confused. Do American Airlines have this different livery🙄🤔
American only has one standard livery, but has select aircraft painted in the liveries of the airlines American has absorbed over the years. This aircraft wears the America West Airlines colors, and is listed as American’s “America West Heritage Special Livery.” It’s basically a tribute to an airline that no longer exists, but helped build American to what it is today. They also have heritage liveries for TWA, PSA, Piedmont, AirCal, US Airways, Reno Air, and more.
Good morning my friend! How are you?
I'm doing well my friend. How about you? Thanks for watching!
I notice a lot of condensation in the cabin.
It was a very humid morning. A lot of condensation everywhere. Thanks for watching man!
America west is defunct? 😍👍👏😍👏
America West is still flying as “American”
Yes. America West is now defunct. Technically still flying as part of American like Erik says, but their operating certificate is long gone, so as of 2005 they became US Airways, and then American in 2013. Thanks for watching guys!
Gulfport Mississippi?
No. This flight was from Tulsa (TUL) to Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW). Thanks for watching!
