🙏 🙏🙏
He's always been so gifted and talented. Has played with numerous bands. Just amazing!!!
Doug Wimbish is a one man sound system. He's a great player too.
Doug is and always will be one of my heroes! Just an amazing soul.

One of the best bassists out there; but I must say (for me) nothing comes close to his baselines with Living Colour \m/

where's the bass guitar?
I agree, it's just a bunch of sound effects.
I was rather disappointed.
he's done plenty of traditional bass playing on various records that we've all heard across the globe. after 40 years of that, let him experiment. plus he does what you're asking for around the 2:20 mark
I believe that he can play, however, I’ve NEVER heard/ seen him just play regular grooves/ bass parts…And to be honest, his pedals/ effects things I’ve seen him do are not impressive to me at all.
Doug Wimbish is a bass beast. I wish he would stop hiding behind that ridiculous pedalboard and just groove.
That’s what I’m thinking…Unfortunately, I haven’t seen/ heard him do anything else despite how revered he is.
Interesting how instead of using this video to showcase his ability to play the bass he instead chose to make a bunch of sounds with all those effects pedals.
I am sure the pedal makers just love having someone "famous" make a video showing how you too can sound like a 14yr old kid that got dropped off at Guitar Center by his Mom while she runs over to JoAnn's Fabric. But it just doesn't sound creative and is comes across as boring.
This video is in participation for Sweetwater’s Gear Fest. He playing through his endorsers equipment to showcase products for the Gear Fest 2021. At around 5:20 he does what you want him to do
