1. Remove skin 2. Wash in anti bacterial solution 3.Mix palm peat and perlite 4.plant halfway into the soil with eye facing down 5. Cover your tray with plastic or glass 6. Plant out after 1 year into a pot
These instructions are completely different to your previous video. Is this the way to do it now or can I do it the way you instructed on your previous video?
Thanks. There were some specific instructions which I haven't seen elsewhere (eg: placement of the "eye", use of a bacteriological agent) so I'm now confident about planting seeds I've been collecting for over a year :)
Great video I just got 3 seeds off of a Clivia one seed is green and the other 2 are small but yellow should I plant them all or just the ones that turned yellow
Hi Val, you should only remove the seed once they are red and a bit soft to touch. The seeds will not germinate if they are green or yellow as they are not fully developed/ripe
8pm 6th Aug 2024. Fantastic thank you.
I have a huge orange one. I'd love to get my hands on a yellow but I've never been able to locate it online.
Wow, that's a long time. Thank you for the video!

What do you call the eye?
What is the eye of the seed?.please
Good pacing but blurring the screen with the captions makes it impossible to see the "eyes" and follow the action and is distracting.
Yes it was VERY
annoying

Thanks for the video, gotta try this myself.

Where can i get seeds
Brasil...amei essa planta clivia
How long the clivia seeds germination from malta
The seeds should start sprouting small roots after 4 - 6 weeks.
Hi Tanya, how long do you keep your seeds covered with the plastic/glass? Thanks
Il fiore centrale va tagliato
I have some green "berries" for several months. When do they turn red?
Just give them some more time, they will turn red as the seed matures
Mine took about 6-8 months to go from green to red
If you leave the seed pods to ripen on the plant your plant may not flower the next cycle.
