wow, that is a steal. I bought a 95 Formula with 350/6 speed in red in 1996. Drove it for 9 years until Ford came out with the 2005 Mustang. still driving the Mustang GT with 5 speed after 20 years but I do miss the 6 speed
I was 30 years old when I bought this back in 1995. It was white. Absolutely loved it. I remember seeing the purple-colored Trans Ams at the dealership. Great vehicle!!!
I bought my 95 TA LT1 in 1996 with 20,000 km (also with T-Tops). I've loved it ever since and even shipped her from Vancouver to Amsterdam where I drive it now and get lots of looks. Lol. She still runs like a dream and I've only had to replace electrics like the power window and radio antenna motors, and recently had the alternator rebuilt. Mine is deep indigo blue with black leather interior, and I remember at the lot there was also a burgundy one like yours and a deep green one too.
This 1995 iteration of the Pontiac Trans-Am had a funny car rake, and a ballistic nose to match! It would have been a better K.I.T.T. Than the one they used in the television series: Knight Rider.
I owned this same car back in 2001. It looked good but was built like shit. The fuel pump failed at 40k miles. The water pump failed at 45k miles. The automatic transmission needed to be completely rebuilt at 52k miles. That’s on top of a host of other small motor and electrical problems that seemed to pop up every 4-6 months.
Am second owner of a low-mile Formula convertible in this color and it is much rarer -- just 37 built that year; a handful more in 1996. See my videos. I just took it back and forth across the country. These 285 horsepower dual cat versions of this car sold late in the year in CA can break the tires loose in first and second even with huge tires -- try that with an overhead cam Mustang.
I agree, unfortunately so many of these F-Body Firebirds and Camaros have been modified so much that trying to restore it to its original state is not even worth it. Anyone is better off buying an unmodified one and keeping it stock.
That color is not "custom" or "special order". It is RPO 88U or O5U Medium or Bright Purple. I'm not sure which. It is a very rare color with only a few dozen made.
I agree, Pontiac is one of my favorite car brands. Not the best quality, but they definitely created a lot of excitement like their famous slogan they used a lot.
@@TubeBrowser2 I honestly like the LT1's better than the LS1 engines. To me the LT's had more of an actual old school muscle car sound, especially when hooked up to a good exhaust and cam.
I think they look so much better than the 98 to 02 cars.
I just purchased a 1995 Trans am with 13,485 original miles for $13,500. A total steal.
Nice. I just bought a 97 with 34,500 miles and 6 speed for 8.
Got mine at 100k for 1,000 run great🔥🦅

22 years old about to go pick up a 95 with a 6 speed manual! Not reliving but living!

Am in love with this trans am! 😍
I think this style of trans am is the perfect blend between the 3rd gen 80s firebird and the 98-02 trans am
Prince would love it!
Bet that will sell fast. Wouldn’t mind having that in my garage.
BEAUTIFUL!
last of the original small block before the LS Series. Sick Ride Good value. Takes me back/
The LT1 engines are better than the LS1's in my opinion.
Nice ride

Nice car! Except for the spoiler. I reckon they made a few TransAms with the firebird/formula/firehawk spoiler. But, I'd take it! 😁
I have a 95 trans am that’s the same color with a 6 speed . It came from iowa maybe you know something about it?

Lt1 power
Beutiful Automobile👏👏👏👏👏
Wow I've never seen one of those that wasn't beat to s***! What a beautiful car

@@CB12345 100% agree, brother.
Nice good value

Man I want that
A pontiac is a collectors item. they don't make em any more.

285 Hp?
Yes. That is the factory rating. Many LT1's dyno that much or more at the wheels. Underrated and great driving engine.

Saw one of this in offerup for 7k with 96k miles on it it sounds too good to be true it may be a scam
How many times are you going to call it nice?
