GM nailed it with this design, absolute home run. Beautiful car!!!
The 98-2001 TA WS.6 is not only one of the most, if not the most, under rated car of all time, it’s also absolutely stunning to see in person. I owned an 01 ws.6 back in the day, paid 21k for it.
Nice car, my favorite year for the Trans Am.
I like the LS cars but, the 93-97's will always be my favorite. A 1997 WS6 Formula in black w/M6 is just hard to beat IMO. I had one and like an idiot I sold it. 😢
Watching this video brings back memories. First car I bought as a kid. I remember bringing it home and parking in their garage. They look on my pops face when he saw that black beast. Still an cool old school muscle car , I could live without the Ac Delco interior but had a lot of fun in that thing.
Mine has the Bose, and the rest of the interior has been incredible also, 250 thousand miles, 31 years, it's been road racing its entire life, it still looks like new inside and out, I don't know how they do it, only GM has figured it out.
Best Looking Of the 4th gen. Imo. Still looks nice.
Found one in my area I absolutely need to pull the trigger such a BEAUTIFUL vehicle
i have this same car ...color and all...bout to start fixing it up...been in my garage for 10 years 😢
My car is a ‘96 WS6 auto car. Mine is a hard top with cloth interior. These cars are still pretty damn fast and keep up with most newer cars.
Lt1 is my favorite motor, I bought one and that thing moves!!!
I love this car!! Wanted one new in the ninties; still hoping to get a lo mile mint one! Cheers!😀😁⚒🛠🔧
93-97 > 98-02
I think Motor Trend said it best in a 1997- 1998 comparison that the new LS1 had a bit more power, but the new aluminum block different cam, 3" longer muffler resulted in a less aggressive exhaust note, while the LT1's iron block boomed urgently with a more distinctive throaty sound, Most people don't realize that a car's engine and the way it's set up has a lot to do with the way the car will sound it's not only the muffler.
Gm changed the firing order on the ls1 that’s why the difference in sound. The lt1 has the old small block firing order. They both sound good to me. The ls1 responds better to mods. The lt1 has great low to mid range power but the ls1 is a top end monster never seems to run out of breath.the ls1 is a better engine but u can t go wrong with an lt1. I own both love them both.
LT-Gun all day baby!
gorgeous car. Not many love them especially compared to the LS1 cars but this was still a great looking car, and you folks certainly had a clean gem right here.
I have 97 ws6 same color but m6 and sold my 99 ws6 m6 ls1. Just love the LT1 much better street car just like torque monster L98 TPI great street engines
That car black with black taillight covers would look sick af my dad had the design was the best look out of all the 97s in my opinion
I just wish it had a Pontiac 455SD under the hood and not the corporate thing..
Not bad LT1 👍 Looks mint condition.
Im more of a LS1 TA guy, but this LT1 looks great.
Excellent!
I have one and I love it, however I put a hot cam a couple other odds and ins
I got 97 formula built today.Help.
Mom monster car
Nice, but its 4 speed Automatic. These cars are more agressive and much better with T56.
Ws6 with an auto? Really takes part of the idea away
Agree, a 6spd is much more fun!
They have a paddle shifter kit where you can install a custom steering wheel with paddle shifters on the auto.
