To all of you who hate on my choice of MX Browns. It's not fun to read that when I did something nice and wholesome for my sister and chose an option that she would actually use and enjoy. It's her first mechanical keyboard. To her, it probably feels like it's a bad keyboard now just because of all these comments. If you feel that way, go ahead and feel that way. But it basically feels like collective bullying at this point.
tbh ltt found that most people preferred them over other switches when they have no good basis for other kinds of mechanical switch, so they should be fine

Mainly people say the tactile bump is too small to feel while typing, so they prefer either tactile switches with larger bumps, or linear switches which are smoother without the bump at all
@@systope4762 the complain people have about browns is that the tactile bump is too small and not noticeable while gaming/typing, which is why people choose any other Tactiles with more noticeable bumps or Linears over the Cherry browns

@@tobotti330 well when I felt browns for the first time I had no expectations because I was a literal noob and knew nothing. I literally didn’t know the difference between the 3 types of switches. I thought it was really nice… why. My point is I think the sister couldn’t choose what she wanted (correct me if I’m wrong I haven’t watched this video in a long time) so nice sister just wanted her to decide easier. And either way if she doesn’t like it she can probably just lube them so the bump literally disappears or can ask very nice sister for reds or something nicer later.
Holy crap I didn’t think I’d see Mabinogi mentioned in a video ever. That is my favorite mmo and I wish it made a return or had a remake with visual updates. It’s had the best gameplay and progression to me. Amazing keyboard build as well!

I started on Cherry MX Brown and I went around a lot of switches but honestly I came back to MX Browns and they are honestly my favorite. I know people say they are not very tactile but I love how they are almost a hybrid of linear and tactile but are still tactile enough to prevent me from bottoming out. The real thing that made them work for me is a good solid key board with really nice keycaps. bad caps and a bad board can make any switch surprisingly unpleasant

as someone who has a tecware spectre pro with outemu brown switches, I really like the sound of tactile switches since its so smooth and not too quiet and not to loud. Its great.

Old man talk incoming: I remember the good ol' days back in 2011 when everybody loved MX Browns. I had a Filco Majestouch Ninja that had Browns and I loved that thing. Over the years I've downgraded several times and now in 2021, I'm just rocking an RK61 with RK Reds and quite content with being poverty linear gang. lmao.
Right!? It was just a decade ago that the ONLY keys you could get were pre-installed and the choices were: cherry mx brown, blue, or red. That's it. Weird how this has exploded. I'm not complaining! It's just interesting. The internet has done nerds good.
Congrats Betty, your sister is very lucky that you build for her this great keyboard. An 400-500$, is rarely the first mechanical keyboard someone buy.

I modded the crap out of my first mech for practice, logi g710+, and it is currently the most satisfying board I have to type on. Awe man, RGB for Terraria would have been great. The colors of the game coordinate with the keyboard, and even indicate utility through the use of lights! Like the H key would go red when a character needs to heal, etc. :D

I used to have that keyboard, got it with my pc. I broke the keycap for the space bar and my dad didnt know replacements existed so we got a new one
