Kickoff1 inconclusive only for you. This event is over 20 yrs old, the participants long since retired, and any financial gains summarily consumed. Basically, nobody cares.

Gwen Torrence of the USA always outstanding when carrying the stick on the 4x100m relays is quite simply sublime on the 1600m relays. Stop making excuses for her, yes Graham's leg was insanely good and shocking, but Opara's was terrible.
Exactly. She took off way too quickly than normal. But what a race.
If the Nigerians and the Jamaicans had been around Lane 3,4,5 it would have been a different story. Starting in Lane 7,8 yet ending up in top 4 required guts
@@smicer66 nope. She was terrible. She had always been the weakest among them.
Charity Opara-thompson should be considered a saboteur in this race. After a great lead by Fatima Yusuf, she fluffed the Nigerian Gold chase with that shambolic race losing a 10 metres lead and now going further behind another 10 metres. A great team display but gutted with Charity Opara-thompson's performance.
+Ishola Kazeem Opara did not belong in there, she was a disappointment. Again the runner that got her it's questionable the speed she unleashed. It that happened to the USA, they would demand test result. Ahahaaaa!
Kickoff1 nothing wrong with Kims leg, Opara sucked, plain and simple.
@@kickoff1485 you sound stupid.
@@kickoff1485I agree, it looked like I was seeing a dude. lol. Just joking. Kim Graham never ran that fast again ever in her life. lol.
Woooooow what a race. Crazy crazy shouts out to the entire field!!!!
Five more meters and Breuer had that won!!!
Wow....amazing especially in front of all Those Atlanta Natives!! My heart was racing!-'
This was a spectacular race . Definitely showed the best of the best
Kim Graham took the top off🔥🔥🔥
I start getting chills around 4:50 you could sense Graham passing her!!! And the crowd!!!!
Bravo to Nigerian team, the gap was too much for Ogukoya to cover up. Big congratulations to USA
None of them even broke a sweat!!Yassss!! Strong black and fast, in the good way, Black Women!!🥰🥰❤❤💪🏽💪🏽
What did that German anchor run ? Had to spit 48 low
Kim Graham won this relay for America. It was stupid of Miles to give up the inside lane. SMH
kim graham ran the run of her life... real shame that Opara ran out of steam because Nigeria had this in the bag!
WHAT WAS THE SPLIT ON THE USA 3RD LEG?? SHE WAS SMOKIN'
AHHH!!!! OMG THIS WAS SUCH A GREAT VIDEO!!!!!!!
Nigeria!!! Much love
may i add one of the best relay races ever
One of the best 4x400 ever 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 outstanding performance
Great commentary!
The 3 leg was a beast
Great race. Thanks for the upload
What a great race ans commentator ... Someone gives us the women's 400m final of this same olympics with the same commentator would be great ... As strangely we can't find it anyware on UA-cam !
Wow!! Golden days of Nigerian athletics! I’m so proud of the Nigerian athletes!! All stars!!!✨ 🇳🇬
The German ancorher leg was amazing
Did you Know that breuer was on drugs during 1992?
She really is a joke 😶
@@jorgeadrianmaya4159: this is 4 years later. Many Americans have been on drugs, busted and running again within 4 years ( Justin Gatlin anyone?). So let's not pretend there are baddies and goodies
@@MrStevecro im not pretend that , i only say that Grit Breuer will always be tainted under the shadow of doping, just like Justin Gatlin, Marion Jones, Michelle Collins, etc.
Here there are no good or bad, here there are only drugged athletes.
And in this career, the only one with a history of doping is the German Grit Breuer.
Sorry.🤷♂️
@@jorgeadrianmaya4159 That was years ago. From the times of the DDR.
This here has nothing to do with drugs. In the individual race over 400 meters, Breuer was eighth.
That is precisely why their relay race is so outstanding
That was intense!
Damn this had me in tears!
Una de las mejores carreras que he visto en el atletismo mundial y olímpico
this was the best chance for Nigeria to win. Ogunkoya was much faster individually that year than Miles Clarke--- if only the 3rd leg didn't mess up !
+olaraay That opara may have been on the team because she knew someone there; there is no way any athletic Coach with experience would have fielded absolute, sluggish, purposeless chicken to run a very important position in such a race. She had no business there; what a shame!
Grit Breuer The best 😍🌈🌻
Drugs!!!
Drugs!!
@@jorgeadrianmaya4159 🤮
Antagligen alla var dopade (eller varit) men Breuer hade i alla fall l varit avstängd för osportsligt beteende två år ⬇️ för Clenbuterol som då inte stod på dopinglistan
One of the best 4x400 I've ever seen..
WHAT A RACE!!!
I have seen this video hundreds of times, but the announcer gets me gassed up every single time, lol.
#FACTS
The outcome of that race remains inconclusive until the IOC makes available drug test results of the participating nations. Something remains fishy; name recognition, money and power will always be a threat to fairness and truth. Someday the true winner of that race will be known.
Kickoff1 inconclusive only for you. This event is over 20 yrs old, the participants long since retired, and any financial gains summarily consumed. Basically, nobody cares.
ranhill same here!!!
Kickoff1, nothing inconclusive at all. Usa 1st. Nigeria second and germany third. Thats been the result since 1996 .
I love The United states of America track uniforms that olympic year so cute
What a final leg by the German Gritt Breuer - another few metres and she would have won it. Great run.
This is certainly one of the greatest 4x400m relays I have ever seen (male or female). Gwen Torrence of the USA always outstanding when carrying the stick on the 4x100m relays is quite simply sublime on the 1600m relays. Had Gwen been healthy - fully recovered from her injury, she most certainly would have made this relay far less exciting/dramatic.
Wow what a race ! Those women are tough as nails .
Wow...what a race. I forgot how close this was. Really amazing how the U.S. hung on here.
What a position to be in. Anchor of a relay at an Olympic Games! Jearl Miles dug deep...
That third leg for USA was even better than Allyson Felix 3rd leg at the 2015 World Championships. NOT THE TIME, but effort and aesthetically.
+ranhill better watch the video once again her split is 50.69sec compare to Allyson Felix iaaf 2015 split 47.79sec
Not talking about times, but the effort to close the huge gap, then overtake the runner in front.
+ranhill ,...I'm not sure if it's better than Allyson Felix's leg...but it was a pretty wicked leg in anyone's book.
+mitch forte I am a HUGE Felix fan, but I still gotta go with this one. Her turnover when she passes is phenomenal. The 4th leg by Miles was epic also, and on the down side of her career. No WAY she was losing this race. Even being chased down by a champion and a drug enhanced east German.
+ranhill drugs was 1992. Grit Breuer was the last in the individual competition. Now she run the best round of all. So dont write such an nonsense, otherwise you are yourself suspicious to take drugs.
Graham... 🤩
It was her leg the gave The United states the win and the Gold
I think Gritt was focused on the Jamaican, thinking the American and Nigerian were out of reach. But when she hit the steroid button, she could have possibly won it all had she know they actually WERE in reach due to here added juice.
