Re: color, I get why people do it and like it, I'm not a fan of wearing all black (meh), and feel very blah in white and beige. Instead, I've started buying authentic African wax print dresses and prints (Odile Jacobs to name one) and they are well-made, bold and stunning and *super* colorful in ways that only designers from those countries can bring to life. African prints are art on cloth.
I used to want designer bags with logos so much when I was a teenager/early 20s, but over the past few years I’ve changed my mind and I really just want a nice classic quality bag that will last for years. I also feel like loud logos don’t really suit my personality and lifestyle if that makes sense. Sequin knickers though - I didn’t know such a thing existed lol!
I only like neutrals as well and no logos, sparkle, glitter, florals, fuzz, nor florals. I don't feel the need to buy the tacky, gaudy, cheap looking things the fashion industry wants us to buy. No one is going to stop shopping for neutrals and nice things. I wish they would stop trying to push ugly stuff on us.
I have been obsessed with ysl for years but I don’t own anything from them. Yesterday I was at a party and there was a girl there dressed in ysl opyium heels and a matching ysl logo bag. It just looked strange to me and out of place for the occasion. And that’s when I thought maybe it’s not the best idea to buy logo items. I think in real life it can look a bit out of place.
I tolerate the cc on chanel bags because they are so iconic, but for anything else I am not a billboard and will certainly not pay to give a company free ad space. Just my opinion, I know some people love their logos and it's fine. But to me the quality should speak for itself if you're buying designer otherwise it's not worth it.
I totally agree with the logos and showing off brands and sparkles, overly polyester clothing etc. I feel like it's really out of touch with this pandemic and our change to anti-consumerism culture, and anti-plasticy, greener, eco-conscious fashion. Peoples interests and values are changing!
I love the color trend. I love black and white together, it always looks crisp whether in clothes or decor. But neutrals can be boring, and as I get older, make me look washed out. Color has the opposite effect so I'm all for that.
Same. I used to wear grey all the time. Zoom showed I look like I was recently bitten by a zombie. Then I started wearing colors and my face came back to life.
I also really love how others can style and wear bold colours, but just cannot bring myself to wear them. I have stuck to neutrals for many, many years now and I can’t see that changing. I do occasionally feel as though I should try something else, as it must be a bit boring for people around me, but I love my plain blacks, greys, beiges, and whites. Oh, and some blue denim has recently crept in. I do also have a dusky pink jumper and a very dark green/khaki suede jacket for an exciting change-up! Sparkly things and logos have never been for me - it’s amazing to see the change in your wardrobe from your younger days!
Not to mention the ecological aspect of sparkles and fuzzies! They are essentially plastic and are a pig to clean. Give me chunky cashmere knits and suede boots 😍😍😍
I’m so happy that UA-cam has recommended this channel to me! I love the color like beige, all kind of gray, white and I like simple and plain design. So, your style is just my zone! I’m so excited to watch all of your old videos. And I totally agree with you on logo stuff. They are not classy.
I have to be honest, whenever I see a heavy logo designer bag I’ll mostly assume it’s a fake. Still wearing my black teddy coat this winter though, makes me feel so boujie and it keeps me warm so that bad boy isn’t going anywhere! 😂
God bless Simon and the sparkly knicker throwback, it never gets old 🤣🤣. I’m not adverse to a sparkly clutch/bag for a special occasion (rare as they are!) I also wore them to death when I was younger and agree they were so itchy and uncomfortable. You’re not including your gorgeous MaxMara teddy coat that you love in the last category are you?!! Have a lovely Sunday ☺️
Oh the sparkle knickers haha those were something! It made me remember all my choices from the "going to the club" time of my life (now safely tucked away in the past). Your style has evolved so much! I love this trend overview as otherwise I would not be aware of what's "in" at the moment at all - even tho I won't partake it's still cool to be in the loop :)
Your point on color made me giggle 😅 I saw that saturated color was coming back this season and I got SUPER excited. This whole pastel/soft muted tones phase we’ve been in has saved me a boatload of money because they don’t look good on me. I’ve been WAITING for saturated color to come back so I can live my best life 😂 I don’t go all out like you did in your old pictures, but I love bright pops against a palette of neutrals. Totally agree with you on the logo thing. I’ve never liked them because I felt odd being a walking billboard for a brand. After my hs Abercrombie phase, I stopped with the logos and haven’t looked back.
My mother use to say, less is more, quality over quantity and be confident 😌 Great job Emma! You always drive it home..Excellent choices always! I'm looking to purchase the sweater you're wearing, it's tight! Love!
I always think Trinny looks fabulous in different colours and prints. I’d never be brave enough to do clashing prints. She makes them look purposeful, I’d just look a mess! That Stella McCartney sparkly animal print jumpsuit was truly horrible!
Do you know any other blogger that does it well? Whenever I search for inspiration from someone my age they are doing either neutral minimalist or clubbing bold.
Completely agree on all counts. Guess I’m an old soul, because I’ve felt this way since my 20’s. A trend I love and am buying: the fat sole boot. They are so comfortable for all the walking I do, and I never struggle to put them on or off. I have a pair of the Bottega TIre boots & Loewe ones. Also interested in the designer hiking/combat boot trend: flat sole only. I’ve owned many hiking boots for, well, hiking, and so keen to get a pair of Chanel or LV this season.
Yep, also once you hit mid forties you also go to hell with it if I want to wear that (insert sparkle, colour etc) and feel good then I will. I'm 45 now and proud
As a former ballerina I love some sparkle (tutu's always have sparkles!) but wear it mostly now in earrings. And as someone who loves English Country style, I love an old-fashioned floral, especially, for winter, a dark floral! Thank you for your video on Black wardrobe basics; I've just bought some black jeans, a black sweater, black Chelsea boots, and a black bag. Lastly, I hope your move is going well for you both!
Thank you. Still haven't started to pack as we are waiting on the final details from our buyer and the people we are buying from 😂 hopefully some time this week and then dates can be finalised 🤞
As I’ve gotten older, I’ve also gone more toward neutrals. However, I do like a pop of color as an accent, once in awhile, & I do have 3 sequin tank tops in chocolate, black & bright navy blue that I wear under a blazer for parties or dressy occasions. So while they are technically sequined, they are also pretty much neutrals. As for patterns, I like stripes or polka dots & I have a few vintage floral dresses. As for handbags, I’ve never been one for logos. I’ve also never been one for the “teddy coats”. The closest I’ve come is a suede coat that was lined with a faux fur that was a gift from my husband.
I’m in my 60s and I still love sparkles ✨ I wear it in limited amounts but still love it. 😁✨ I also love faux fur and bold colors. 😁😁 I still love your content though, even if I’m not a neutral gal. 😉
Hello Emma. Always a pleasure watching your video Sunday morning here in Montreal with my cup of tea. I must say Miniskirts that you won’t see me wearing as a trend. Saw that in a few magazines. I did in my 30s but now in my 50s it is all about longer skirts and neutrals. No logos, no metallic, no colours, no fringes and no brooches (saw that in cosmopolitan but brings back memories from the 80s😀). This fall is all about cosy knit oversized sweater. Can’t wait! Have a fantastic day!
Great video Emma, I agree with you on all of your "wont wear" points except colour. Having worn a lot of darks and neutrals for the past several years, I welcome a little pop of colour in moderation. The trend this year that I do appreciate is the presence of mauve and purple. My favorite colours. I'd love to see a part II on this video. What else won't you wear and what will you wear?
I've finally found my personal style and absolutely BALLED out on a new wardrobe which is arriving in a few days. So I'll only be wearing the new stuff and my other clothes. I feel so free knowing I dont have to or need to shop for clothing anymore except for the rare replacement. I live in a climate where the clothes I purchased are mostly wearable all year round, save perhaps December- February the tops won't work.
Completely agree, bright colours, florals or sparkle/glitter are not my cup of tea either. And as for glittery cards, end up finding it in unexpected places days later! Your hair looks gorgeous by the way
Ongeeeeeeeee! I’m so glad I’m not the only one who dislikes sparkle……I HATE it! + logos😒 . I don’t want to advertise where I get my bags from. It’s almost an anti bragging thing for me. But sparkle? yuk it makes me feel all scratchy. Glitter! 😱 it’s still with you 3 years later. Totally agree with each of your choices ! Love watching your videos, they always make me happy and give me lots of inspiration.! X ❤️
I don’t consider a signature clasp the sane as logo heavy. Such as thu Gucci Dionysus clasp. To me that clasp is a unique signature and exclusive (can’t be used by anyone else). But the gg everywhere IS logo heavy
I enjoy your content because it always feels authentic. When we can enjoy a self deprecating chuckle at things we wore 10-20 years ago, it feels like poring over a box of forgotten photographs with a gf. And for the record, the long Jane Birkin-esque fringe you wore, still looks killer 10 years on.
The sparkle fabric trend is a big no for me lol Now Teddy coats are a big must for me in my Canadian winter :) One trend I will not be doing is the Puffer coats and jackets lol
Your glitter aversion just made my day! Feel the same about it. Had to put up with this a little since my little daughters liked glitter for arts and crafts project, luckily for me they are over it now.
I love the layers for Fall and Winter fashion as well as all the textures for different fabrics like knits, corduroy and wovens. I am with you on the logos, sparkle and faux fur. I do love color and really enjoy wearing color. I tried the neutral for about a year and it was just not for me. I just love the throwback photos of you, the sparkle ones are really out there..........at that age I was wearing minis and high heels to the clubs and disco dancing...................I was in my 20's in the 70's and 80's. I did have some crazy looks and do not need to go back to those things as trends. Loved your video, I also embrace the dog fur on my clothes.
'Tis the season for over-indulging in online shopping, and I just have this mantra on my mind: WWEW - What Would Emma Wear LOL Another timely/sage video. Thoroughly enjoyed you popping back in time (sparkly knickers!!). I am old enough to have worn some of the 80s and 90s trends the first time around, and will have to agree that through age and ahem, years of experience, I've learned that logo-emblazoned items DO NOT stand the test of time, and get relegated to the donation/to-sell pile way too soon. Thank you as always!
I find myself commenting multiple times on your videos lately, just so much interesting stuff to discuss! I always thought I was a neutral person, but this year I’m craving bright red and pink. I work in communications in healthcare, and the past two years have been so draining, and for my sector it’s not letting up. A bright pink blazer brings colour back to my grey complexion, and I noticed it affected other people in the office too. But I wore it with all black underneath, to be true to my roots!
When it comes to bags, I think you've focused more on practicality now, what's going to be functional and beautiful and CLASSY. Logos are tacky, you could have a super expensive logo bag, but in my opinion, it makes people look cheap.
I am 100% with you on this! Please make an extension video on this topic, it's a treat! And 🙌🏼 on antisocial lifestyle. I found that time spent with myself brings a lot more pleasure as I age.
I’ve never been a fan of teddy coats or large logos either, but on the most part I never say ‘never’ to anything. I’m in my 40’s and lived in the neutrals of the early 1990s (cream, white and tan) then the louder fashion of the mid to late 90s. I did a stint of neutrals again in the early 2000s before going into full on pattern classing and more recently I’m back on the more neutral colour palette again. Being a bit older now, I can’t wear black near my face (hello dark shadows and dull skin) so I imagine in a few years I’ll be back on the colour and print brand wagon à la Trinny…it’s all cyclical for me.
I agree with the logo thing you mentioned. I am 35, and have never understood why people pay to wear brand merchandising... why to show if you have money or why to pretend you have when it is not the situation.
I am pretty much the same as you in tastes. I think colour and bright patterns can look great on darker haired and skinned ladies. Yellow suits me too, when I'm tanned but brights can really overwhelm me. I prefer Paisley prints in richer colours for winter, simple blue or red and white stripes, checks and prints (I do like Indian prints in soft colours) for summer, or white or neutral of course. Like all the browns, khakis, dark greens, neutrals, creams and navy for winter. Jeans, cream, neutral trousers in good material. I feel the shapes change more than the colours. Sometimes I don't like the shade of the colour, but fashion has a wider choice now. I think metallics are great when the material is very good. I don't like glitter, might do posh sequins but not much. A silver metallic T-shirt or skirt could last you years though. Love silver boots, shoes, bag if I want some sparkle. By the way, you have fab legs and look really good in the silver knickers, which is quite hard to pull off. That one still looks cool but the others look more dated with matchy bags and shoes!!! Yes, we all look back in horror at our past fashion mistakes, but as I'm 65, some trends have come back round again. Obviously, as I'm vintage, I wouldn't wear them now but my 70's and 80's outfits look quite up to date. You have to wait a few decades, of course!
I parted with all but one of my LV monogram bags. I had to make quite an effort to add a small bit of color to my wardrobe of late. I love neutrals, but needed a bit of variety.
I love a good plaid for fall/winter. The colors are varied and can match the season well. Always paired with black or white. Never a whole plaid ensemble.
I love this video. I hate glitter and glam on top. I do however own a sequin skirt. It is semi fitted, below the knee, and a matte bronze color. I love to wear this to a holiday part with a white button up or wear with a Tshirt for a day edgy look. I am 51 and I need a little glam!
Of course you do you do but sparkles aren't just for parties I wore secondhand sequin cami and jeans trainers and army green shacket to go get both my vaccination and both times it made everyone at centres smile 😃 . I'm most a neutral gal too but I like adding pop of colour or sparkle to the odd outfit some days
Hi Emma - I loved your latest video💕. I agree about the logos and the sparkles - I am finally going to get rid of a years old black sequinned cropped evening jacket to our local dress agency once they start taking in for A/W - someone out there will love to wear it for the festive season! I much prefer silk shirts now as a dressy option - Lilysilk is excellent for this type of thing I've found. I'm very much one for basic neutrals but I do love the odd silk shirt in a pop of colour for special occasions - I'm quite drawn to the lovely emerald green that has been mooted as a trend lately so I may treat myself to a silk shirt in this colour for the festive season if I can find one. It's something that won't date. I hope your forthcoming home move goes smoothly for you, Simon and the five Bs. P.S. I thought the photo of you in the gold spangled dress was Paris Hilton at first!🤣. Have a great week. X
I think we, “normal” people have enough of wannabes showing off their status symbols, without having any status. I see more and more people with designers bags, probably fake, who cannot speak properly, behave properly, however they treat others with contempt. They have Luis Vuitton bag..so they push in front of you, they put the rubbish on the ground. I saw more and more people like that. Funny enough, a very successful lawyer, rich, a friend of mine, buys bags that are practical, comfortable and looking decent. As she said, she even does not have time to worry about designer bags.
About ten years ago, when my younger son was 11, he decided that he would not wear clothing with logos as he said “I am enough” (at that time his clothing had brands popular with his peers: Champion, Reckless, Quick Silver, etc.). He convinced me to do the same and we’ve stuck to that ever since.💁
I agree wholeheartedly about the tacky logos. I'm not a fan and never have been. However, I love bright colours. I have silver hair (it was black in my youth) with green eyes and fair skin and neutrals have always made me look unwell. I think they look fantastic on people with warmer colouring though. I can wear black and white but beige just makes me look like death so I will welcome all the bright colours and patterns. I'm wearing a red blouse with white polka dots right now!
Sign me up for the leather trend! I have always loved leather for everything and for me, leather garments are timeless. Therefore, I am eagerly awaiting when this Fall’s offerings go on sale. Though I prefer and buy traditional leather, I just picked up a gorgeous, buttery black vegan cinched-waist blazer from Nanushka at 60% off and it’s one of the things I’m most excited to wear for Fall. I also love the current florals on offer from the likes of Emilia Wickstead and will be keeping an eye out for those on sale/second-hand (recently scored a Paco Rabanne floral piece I had been wanting for two years, amazing) do own a lovely neutral check print blazer with a twist-fully coated in clear sequins! It just looks laminated in the light until you move and see the sparkle. I’m 39 but I love some brights, bold prints and a bit of drama in my wardrobe. Too many neutrals for me just washes me out and I look a bit unwell (except for black-love black). I am medium olive complected with naturally dark hair/features so that also dictates what I feel/look good in. I think your style suits you very well and am with you all the way on skipping Logo Land. Thanks for your channel, much love to you from Washington D.C.
I agree that with every decade we us women change our style and taste towards fashion. But honestly, you Emma looked soooo beautiful and different in those pictures with sparkles/glitter. 😍😍😍 I just loved it! 👌🏻😁
Could you do a video on how to choose flat shoes to go with trousers? I find it easy to style trousers with heels and sneakers but find it very difficult to find flat shoes that look good with various different trouser bottoms (straight trousers, flared trousers, and wide leg trousers). Love your style!!
How funny, sparkly pants - made me really chuckle. Like you, no print and neutrals only but I do love to raise the look with my Gucci or LV bag not sure I could ever give them up! Sadly I missed purchasing a Burberry mini backpack and no longer on sale so if you find one second hand anywhere please please let me know! This season I’’ll be trying plain midi dresses with chunky knees boots (adventurous for me as I’m a jeans girl). Looking forward to seeing your outfits as we move through the season and getting some inspiration. Thanks Emma
Lol that was massive shade 😎 I personally associate the brands with quality and a bag that lasts a life time. Not a fan of full on clothes done in logo fabric but that's more I don't like patterned clothes in general.
Also hate "in you face" logos. Again like you, loved them years ago when I was much younger, but with maturity comes good taste thankfully. Trends are a no go for me, give me a classic any day xx
I do understand the feeling, your style change we all experience it, thank you for putting so nicely without making that trend sound bad. BTW you looked amazing back than and still are….♥️♥️
Hi Emma, It's the second time I'm watching this and thinking about my own style logos were never my vibe.. I always thought that if I would be wearing such loud logos I woulb be paid for the brand for advertising it! 😝 Thank for sharing another amazing video..🤗
I love your style! In my case, my all life I love wearing black, it just made me happy and felling good, but 2 years ago I left my 5 years partner and felt really depress the therapis suggest I buy some color clothes... so I wore some yellow, purple some... just when I really felt like it, in the same year my dad got cancer I took care of him at the hospital almost 2 months and I couldnt wear black, my body reject it, then he pass, was devastated but had to go to work, and I remember that I just wore black, I could only wear black but in a sad way, it change completly, Im still sad about my dad and I will always be, but a while later my body rejected black so I started to used colors with neutrals, I love fabrics and played to make clothes since little but,n that time, clothes represented more that ever before a way my body and my self manifest who I was and how I was, then the pandemic came I well... now Im better, will always mss my amazing dad, but I do were most black, but not in a sad way but I also wear some colors, I even bought something wiith flowers, its never going to be my every day but now I do used it occasionaly, I never though my style would change like that, hugs from southamerica
Its been about 5 years that I really dont like logos anymore. I dont have any high end handbags but the Coach and Dkny bags I bought I made sure it had very very minimal logos. As in just 1 small logo each.
I’m loving my black long chunky Chelsea boots. I thought at the age of 49 last year I was probably too old for them but I didn’t care, I love them and will be wearing them again non stop this year too at 50! Love your videos Emma and I also hate cards filled with glitter😂Lx
Dear Emma, this video was great. You were funny, entertaining and reasonably. I agree totally with everything you said. Your style is great. I am 56 and am watching all your videos. I made also that transition from color to neutrals and black. Thanks for your videos. You are such an amazing young woman. ❤ Wish you Love and happiness 😊
I get you re wearing " bold & bright " colours in winter. In the last few years I bought two cashmere/merino polonecks from Woolovers, one in red and the other was burnt orange and that was it. The rest of my layering sweaters are black, cream and various shades of grey and brown.
Ugh, sparkles, never wore them even when I did go clubbing. Unless you're a cabaret or Drag Queen (which I've always truly enjoyed) . Sparkles on the average person is just plain gaudy/tacky. You made me laugh, as always dear Emma😅❤
As I have a similar style as yours, all these "won't be wearing" items resonate with me. Regarding logos, I think my change of heart comes from the affirmation of my style which does not need any "prop" anymore. I am confident in what I wear and most of the bags covered with logos would not fit my outfits. I choose pieces to fit my style, not to show my status or my bank account and I favour design over brands names.
I moved to Fl from New Jersey and haven’t really worn winter clothing... I feel like the bit of fall/winter clothes I have are so old and out of style. I want an effortless look. I love ur style. I need a winter capsule lol.
Most trends don’t fit into my personal style and I give them a miss, but when trends like the whole romantic floral thing comes around i am so happy for the people in my life who truly believe they were born in the wrong era and would happily transport themselves to say, Victorian England, if they could. They feel like they won the fashion lottery and stockpile to get them through the long dry spells in between 😂
My two go-to looks for holiday; Velvet .Only black, and lace, in the olden days when I went to parties I had a black lace skirt midi length with a black velvet shawl collar top from Eileen Fisher and black mules with tiny heels. It was years ago, but I would still wear it today. Gosh you looked hot in those shorts! smokin!
“Dog hair is my glitter” 👍👏👏 Love seeing the old pix, and I must say, Emma, you rock a fringe!
Re: color, I get why people do it and like it, I'm not a fan of wearing all black (meh), and feel very blah in white and beige. I also feel like loud logos don’t really suit my personality and lifestyle if that makes sense. Sequin knickers though - I didn’t know such a thing existed lol!
Totally agree, I think now you don’t pay for quality, there are so many good brands out for bags…..x
I only like neutrals as well and no logos, sparkle, glitter, florals, fuzz, nor florals. I don't feel the need to buy the tacky, gaudy, cheap looking things the fashion industry wants us to buy. Those businesses that have logos on their clothes should PAY US to wear them.
I feel the exact same!!!!
I love how you know your style so well! So important. and thank you for sharing the glitter underwear throw back lolz
I totally agree with the logos and showing off brands and sparkles, overly polyester clothing etc. I feel like it's really out of touch with this pandemic and our change to anti-consumerism culture, and anti-plasticy, greener, eco-conscious fashion. Peoples interests and values are changing!

The trend I won’t be wearing EVER are Golden Goose trainers!
Me either!!!
Oo me too. Don’t understand thé the hype
The duct tape debacle was it for me!
Hope you enjoy them ❤️
I have to be honest, whenever I see a heavy logo designer bag I’ll mostly assume it’s a fake. Still wearing my black teddy coat this winter though, makes me feel so boujie and it keeps me warm so that bad boy isn’t going anywhere! 😂
every time you're showing pictures from the (colourful) past i'm focusing on your bangs. i think it's suits you sooo well 🤍
God bless Simon and the sparkly knicker throwback, it never gets old 🤣🤣. I’m not adverse to a sparkly clutch/bag for a special occasion (rare as they are!) I also wore them to death when I was younger and agree they were so itchy and uncomfortable. You’re not including your gorgeous MaxMara teddy coat that you love in the last category are you?!! 🤣 you're welcome 😊

Your throwback pictures are great. Amazing how much our style can change over the course of a decade.
Shame you don’t like the teddy coats as you look stunning in them.🤩
I agree!! 😍

My mother use to say, less is more, quality over quantity and be confident 😌 Great job Emma! You always drive it home..Excellent choices always! I'm looking to purchase the sweater you're wearing, it's tight! Love!
Very wise ❤️
I always think Trinny looks fabulous in different colours and prints. I’d never be brave enough to do clashing prints. She makes them look purposeful, I’d just look a mess! That Stella McCartney sparkly animal print jumpsuit was truly horrible!
Do you know any other blogger that does it well? Whenever I search for inspiration from someone my age they are doing either neutral minimalist or clubbing bold.
I have to agree with you that Trinny does it really well.
Trinny is a UA-cam vlogger.
Couldn't agree more with every single point!! Love that you make your videos personal and honest 🥰
Thank you ❤️
I love florals and would love them till I'm old and grey, I just love the more feminine romantic style.
You do such a good job of explaining why you won’t be wearing…yet not discouraging others. Good on you….
…then you’ll hit your mid forties, and sparkle comes back because it gives a lovely glow to your face!
Yep, also once you hit mid forties you also go to hell with it if I want to wear that (insert sparkle, colour etc) and feel good then I will. I'm 45 now and proud
100%, if it makes you happy and confident go for it, as that is all that matters. ❤️
I also love faux fur and bold colors. 😁😁
I still love your content though, even if I’m not a neutral gal. 😉
😘
Thank you. We have spent it with our niece so it has been lovely. Hope you have had a fantastic day too ❤️
That is great ❤️ Enjoy! We will spending time at my Mom with the doggies 🐶
Your hair looks gorgeous by the way
Thank you ❤️
Ongeeeeeeeee!
Girl you’re on 🔥! 👌 Totally agree with everything, cat hair/fur is my glitter nowadays! 😘
This was a fun video -- wouldn't mind hearing about the other trends you wouldn't participate in!
😘
The sparkle fabric trend is a big no for me lol Now Teddy coats are a big must for me in my Canadian winter :) One trend I will not be doing is the Puffer coats and jackets lol
Those channels where you hit the like button even before watching the video ;-)
😘
🤣 I feel the same way about glitter🤣. I’m definitely a member of the clean freak club!
Saaame team "clean freak club"😉🤣👍
Your glitter aversion just made my day! Feel the same about it. Had to put up with this a little since my little daughters liked glitter for arts and crafts project, luckily for me they are over it now.
😂
I totally totally agree with you! Your description of the feeling you get out of sparkle! I am so with you!
OMG i agree with all those trends, I’m with you all the way1 hate them all. Keep it simple, plain and classic x
The trend I love are neutral cosy knits , and I can't wait to wear them next month x
🙌 Me neither 😍
When it comes to bags, I think you've focused more on practicality now, what's going to be functional and beautiful and CLASSY. Logos are tacky, you could have a super expensive logo bag, but in my opinion, it makes people look cheap.
PS, I'm going to wear the shit out of Kelly Green. Get on my body lol it'll compliment all the black on black that lives in my closet.
I so much hate floral print on clothes, It never looks elegant. Great video btw
I love a good winter floral. For me they brighten up the winter blues.
Oh and I agree about sparkles. I would rather add that shine with metallic shoes and jewelry.
😘
I’m with you Emma don’t like glitter or furry coats also think you are right about designer logo bags great video x
I parted with all but one of my LV monogram bags. I had to make quite an effort to add a small bit of color to my wardrobe of late. I love neutrals, but needed a bit of variety.
Glitter bomb birthday cards!! I feel exactly the same!
Your aversion towards sparkle makes me chuckle! Great video!
I was literally laughing out loud at your whole rant about sparkle. I really felt every word of that in my soul.
😂 its a passion 😂
I appreciate the sequin knickers haha I love your style!
Thank you Simon, love the “memo lane” moment. Totally get you Emma and absolutely agree…😆
Memory lane…
They always give me a smile 🤣
LOL, I was chuckling as you talked about the sparkles. My sis feels exactly the same. 😂 great vid as always…thank you!
Good video Emma,
I find people who have style and presence, do not have to shout it out with a logo
because their style,speaks for itself.
Thank you Jan. Just waiting on the final details to be confirmed and then we can get packing and moving, hopefully 🤞 wishing you a lovely week too. ❤️
Quite an elitist comment
Your dark hair & fringe look is gorgeous!
About ten years ago, when my younger son was 11, he decided that he would not wear clothing with logos as he said “I am enough” (at that time his clothing had brands popular with his peers: Champion, Reckless, Quick Silver, etc.). He convinced me to do the same and we’ve stuck to that ever since.💁
Wise before his time ♥️
Hi, Emma. I have the same feelings cocerning this season trends. My style has evolved since my 20's! I love neutrals, 🙂👍
First time seeing the glitter sparkly knickers 🤣😆 ! Btw you look fabulous in those
Sign me up for the leather trend!
You are so lay back and have so much confidence I just love it. Basically nice girl.
And florals are awful lol
Your hair is beautiful Emma ✨❤️ as always love your videos! xoxo
Thank for sharing another amazing video..🤗
❤️
For winter, I LOVE jumper dresses, stretchy boots, puffer coats. They are staples.
Things I don’t like: chunky boots, beanie hats, sunglasses
“The logo is just dead.” PREACH! You are never too much, Emma! 🙌😂❤️ If I see one more Gucci belt I’m gonna….. 🤣
😂
Your face as you described sparkles!🤣 I keep hearing that 90's low rise jeans are coming back and I'll be skipping that for sure🤨
I am full of your opinion about everything, specially glitter. I love it clean and the older I get it’s more and more extreme:)
I get you re wearing " bold & bright " colours in winter. In the last few years I bought two cashmere/merino polonecks from Woolovers, one in red and the other was burnt orange and that was it. The rest of my layering sweaters are black, cream and various shades of grey and brown.
The cobalt blue and yellow 😆 oh those were so COOL. Heavy on the *were*.
Floral: the moodier the better 🖤
Ugh, sparkles, never wore them even when I did go clubbing. Unless you're a cabaret or Drag Queen (which I've always truly enjoyed) . Sparkles on the average person is just plain gaudy/tacky.
You made me laugh, as always dear Emma😅❤
I'm a stripper and wear them at work a ton, like ravewear, glitter, etc. love it at work, hate it in real life. 😄😄😄 Totally agree
And that is why we love your style❤️
Love your hair!!! Love it! They should get their own UA-cam channel:)))))
Gosh you looked hot in those shorts! smokin!
I should mention that the "olden days" for me were before you were born.
