Instead of the wardrobe switch over, you could film settling into your new wardrobes in your new house. I would find seeing how you decide to sort everything very interesting to watch. I get how moving might be a stressful time and filming it makes it more complicated so I also understand if you don't feel like it.
We won't be filming the actual move as it will be quite emotional and busy and also want to be able to enjoy it without worrying about picking the camera up. But once we are in there will definitely be some organisation videos. I don't actually have wardrobes in the new house (yet) so there will be some kind of decision process and then some organisation videos 👍
I hear you,Emma! I'm 5'10'',and I too have trouble finding the right length in trousers, coats and dresses. Especially, cause I love a really long pant and a dress.
Enjoyed the mental process of building an Autumn wardrobe. I’m using your ideas tips and my wardrobe feels more useful and it’s starting to merge and flow better with mix and match pieces 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I have been watching these videos for a few years and have adapted the Pinterest mood boards. It really does help me keep focused on what I need, outfit planning and inspiration. I am also really trying to stick with enough basics and classics that things can last for a few years. I find that I can put these things together in creative ways with the trends but not in such a way that they will be out of style next year.
I hate the idea that your desires are only valid when you’re young. NO! Marianne, you’re probably killing it better than the rest of us! And you better believe I will be ✨stylin✨ regardless of my age, even at 80 haha!
I live in Edinburgh and we’ve had fantastic weather this summer and it’s still really warm - I don’t remember the last time I wore a jacket to walk to work! I was buying my autumn/winter wardrobe in beautiful weather which was weird
I immediately upvoted when you said that you keep your wishlist private to prevent any added competition! Your honesty and humility are very much appreciated! I wish you luck and patience with the move
Good morning Emma!! I ‘ve learned so much from you on how to prepare my wish list and my wardrobe priorities for each season:)) wishing you, Simon and your lovely dogs a wonderful Sunday 🥰
I could listen to you talk about fashion all day, I love your passion for it and through watching your videos, I feel like I have edited down my wardrobe now so that I have long lasting quality clothes (a lot of them bought second hand) and really pleased with the outcome 😊
I am 4'11" and so have the opposite issue. My longest winter coat is mid-to-lower calf but only after having a tailor remove four to five inches from the bottom, where it was ankle length and I could barely walk. I also had a couple inches taken off the sleeves. Such is my life. Best wishes with the move!
I live in the tropics but I love watching Emma's season-specific vids. The last time I travelled during autumn, I looked like a fashion disaster. Lol. I'm looking forward to spending autumn in South Korea again and hopefully will look way better with more thought-out outfits.
OMG me too 😂 I'm a kiwi and lived in the UK for 6 months and I did NOT KNOW how to dress myself 😒 I live in Queensland, Australia now so I still have no need for this content 😂 still watch though 👀
paula mcclelland High five 😆 Not sure if it comes with age (because age-wise, Emma and I are contemporaries), but her "transformation" resonates with me. I gravitate towards minimalist, functional fashion pieces now.
Margaret In Sydney She's fun to watch. So articulate and not boring. With other fashion UA-camrs, I easily get bored even with a 5-min vid, but with Emma, even a 20+ min vid doesn't feel dragging to watch at all.
Been sorting out my wardrobe and went thorough all my jumpers recently. Got a few to de bobble as this helps them last for another year , a couple went on ebay that I wasn't loving anymore and I always tend to buy a new one every year . Love the idea of trousers as I will be looking for some more comfort as sadly I will be starting chemotherapy soon and as usual Emma your style is inspiring x
As you're moving, it's fun to see your Pinterest boards since your clothes are in boxes. Hopefully you'll do vlogs of organization, and storage in the new home. Thanks for sharing your Autumn wardrobe, Emma. ❤
I have also been on the hunt for a Navy Trench, after being inspired to buy second hand last year I found the most perfect vintage Burberry beige trench and I love it so much!! So I have been searching high and low for a navy trench second hand. Today i found a Vintage YSL Navy Trench in my size in incredible condition!! I could not hit buy fast enough. I have a new found love for vintage and second hand but grand and I’m so grateful to you for inspiring this! ☺️
Been prepping for Fall, too, but it’s still a ways off with 91F/32C days still here in Washington, D.C.-the boots, knits and denim are piling up waiting to make their debut!
i really do relate to the going back and forth with the 3&4 step, been doing it intuitively for the couple last years successfully. Lizzy has this Celine bag in this shade, how i wish to have it too. Good luck with hunting the right one 4U.
Well, I know it’s another brilliantly helpful Emma video when I’m hitting pause all the way through, to think about what I already have that would create a look you either show or suggest, lol! Great job, and thanks! 😉
Thank you for sharing your wardrobe planning - as always such a great source of inspiration! As for the long camel coat - I think you will love the Nanushka Loane wool and silk coat, it's very long and beautiful!
Hi Emma. Great tips to use Pinterest so efficiently. Can you take us through your ideal trousers for autumn/winter? I’m trying to move towards a more tailored flowing fit and would value your advice x
Great outfit ideas for fall! Always so chic. I actually got that old Céline hobo bag in the colorway that you showed. I love it, old céline is def better and such a classic. Love old céline clothes as well. I go for The Row as an alternative now.
Emma I am also 5'10 and I adore my Toteme camel Annecy coat! You must have considered it! They have a new camel coat of similar length for this season, with a belt, also stunning!
Hi Emma, if you are looking for longer coats have a look at Flippa K, their Alexa coat is quite long. I don‘t know if it comes in camel though… and maybe their trousers would fit lengthwise as well. Have a lovely sunday!
Good afternoon Emma (morning here in Montreal with my tea) Thank you for the very useful video! I used to cut pictures of ideas and leaving them in a box but Pinterest is much better…lol. I did my switch over early this morning even if it is still a little warm but can’t wait for autumn. Since I have been following you I have changed my buying habits which I am more responsible instead of making impulsive buy. My wish list is much smaller. Can’t wait to see your videos of your new house and wardrobe. I know that Aritzia have longer coats and the quality is amazing. I will be getting the Babaton Slouch coat in black but there is one in camel (cocoa sand). I think Arket is similar to Aritzia. Love those “A”s. Have a fantastic day ❤️
Hi Emma! Could you make a styling video on how to wear trousers for work? I've seen youtubers pair them with sneakers and open-toed shoes, but I'd like to see how you would wear trousers with other kinds of footwear (what type of boots or flats, etc.) Thanks!
How do you manage the trouser situation in A/W when it’s raining? I too have a new found love for trousers, but worry going into this season I’m going to ruin what I buy, if it starts raining when I’m out and the trousers are dragging in the floor…!
Sorry for the delay, I had responded but for some reason it never posted 🙈 For A/W I make sure my trousers fit slightly different to those that I may wear in S/S, so that they don't tend to touch the floor and so have less risk of getting ruined if they get wet 👍 But if that is the style you like, you could always just rouche them up whilst out and about to avoid them hitting the floor and then once indoors let them back down ❤️
@@EmmaHill That’s okay! Thank you for your reply it is most appreciated! ❤️✨ That’s a really good idea re: trouser cut/style, I’ll have a trying on session during my next shopping trip for different trousers and find some suitable for the inevitable British winter weather! ☺️
He has been keeping an eye on them but unfortunately none of the games have been shown over here apparently, so he is cancelling the subscription he has and getting a new one that shows all the games 😂 Go Jays!! 🍁
Does anyone have any recommendations for workwear-type trousers for taller ladies? I’m 5’8” with L34 and it’s always a nightmare trying to find any that fit!
@@TheV1995 Long Tall Sally and ASOS Tall as well as Next Tall can be decent options. But finding better quality can be hard. @EmmaHill once recommended Joseph for long inseams. I bought once second-hand but will have to size up next time. Good luck! Do share when you find anything!
I can’t help being amused by the idea of you influencing us to want items that you are trying to source, and competing with you for them. You must be doing your job well if we lust after the same things and try to nab them first!
The weather has been so strange here in Canada. (Super hot! And I promise I'm not rubbing it in, I hate the heat , I'd trade you for your dreary English days in a heartbeat!) So I haven't been able to truly switch over my closet yet. Thanks for the ideas though and the Pinterest board ideas are so good. (You would hate mine, it's so disorganized it would make you Twitch!) But I'm definitely going to give it a try especially for my wishlist items. (I literally thrift everything so it wouldn't be very brand focused!). Anywho thanks for the video! Good luck in your move.
Funnily enough it seems to be getting warmer over here too 🙈 although still overcast and gloomy which is great for photos but not so much wearing of coats and jumpers 😂
I love that style of trousers, but they’re so hard to find in good fabrics. I don’t want polyester ones, but that’s all I can find. I’d love it if you could recommend some good brands that ship to the US, thanks.
Hi Kimberly! Everlane used to have these types of trousers. U can find them secondhand. One is called Everlane premium wool flannel pants and another called Everlane slouchy wide leg full pants. All made of cashmere and/or wool. I own one pair of premium wool flannel pants. They are very stylish and super comfy to wear.
Love your video as always, but I would really love it if you did a video about which brands are best for us tall girls? Especially trousers can be difficult :-)
Try the “Decades Alpaca Coat” in camel from Peruvian Connection. Beautiful, very long, totally classic. Feels wonderful on. I have it in two colors. Camel and grey. They come out in camel at different times. Not always available in camel but worth the wait. Love your channel.
Good morning Emma , am using your tips and I find them really helpful. The only thing is am trying to not buy anything this Autumn winter because I feel like I own enough but let’s see if I can control myself 😜.
The best way to get the best fit is to shop in person. I have returned / sold so much of what I've bought on line that when I do the math, online shopping is way more expensive and not as satisfying.
Great video Emma with lots of ideas for my favourite season! I feel your pain too, being 5ft 9in with extremely long legs, I have spent many years letting down hems to avoid looking like my trousers have had a row with my feet😉! Although I’ve just taken a pair of jeans back to M&S because they were too long 😳! Happy Sunday and good luck with the move! xxx p.s. I recently passed through Heathrow and lusted after a cousin of Judith’s in Loewe! 🤣🤣
Really enjoyed watching this video (hope you can find your old Celine bag soon!). Thanks for these great tips on how to plan a wardrobe for the new season. I'll really have to keep them in mind. I use Pinterest to create mood boards based on what styles I like but I've never actually separated them by season. I think it's a great idea and I'm gonna give it a go too 😊
LOL! Just watched a second time and you would not believe how many screenshots I took - I'm very much a"trouser" girl too and absolutely love the way you pull together an outfit in fresh ways! so glad I discovered you!
1. your green trench looks so good on you! (with your hair and your height). and i like green+navy together, so good luck with navy trousers! 2. recently i bought new bag. and gave her a name! (russian version of Zoe). so thank you for inspiration i guess 😊
What type of material do you recommend for trenches with movement? I have a basic black cotton raincoat and would like one that’s not so stiff. I’m short and have the opposite problem with trousers and coats. What about a menswear coat instead? KarenBritChick is tall and buys men’s coats for the length and style. Kudos to you for not sharing your private wish list. People forget that you are not required to share EVERYTHING about your life. I’m proud of your boundary setting. It took me a while to learn how to do that. 😃❤️🧥👖
There will be videos of renovation and organising once we are in the new house but not necessarily of the move as it will be a bit emotional and busy, plus we want to enjoy it and not have to worry about having to pick the camera up ❤️

@@EmmaHill ah amazing. I look forward to it ♥️♥️♥️
Thanks so much Emma. Love just how talented and humble at the same time you are. Very rare combination. Enjoyed the video and also on a hunt for the camel coat. I’m petite and prefer longer lengths, let’s hope we both find the one.
Hi Emma! Completely off topic… but can I just ask you if you still use Olaplex no 8 and still think it is better than no 3? Since a couple of years I use no 3-7 and when I run out of no 3 next time I thought of trying no 8 instead. 🤔 Good luck with the move and have a great week 🤗
Thank you Åsa. No because I started using more no.6 which is a leave in conditioner and therefore found I didn't need the no.8 (which is the mask) and now I use 4,5&6 as an every other day routine 👍
I was ready to switch over and then it went hot again. What is this summer? Coats are hard for me and have been searching for years for the right one. I'm 5"9 as well, but my legs are shorter than my torso and long coats make me look ridiculous. I might get lucky this year lol
Hello, nice way to organise and to be more "responsable" in your way to shop !!!! Thank you for the tips👍But now I'm look for more dark blue throusers, I always love them but I never dare(I'm stucked with denim even I try to change a little bit 🤣) Merci et bises
Hey Emma, why don't you have a camel coat tailored? I used to live in the UK and have previously used Chrichton Bespoke - London & Chester - really nice family!
Thanks for the tips. Perhaps I should do planning. I don't even look at Pinterest. I have a lot of clothes. Some I've donated and I gained weight, so the clothes I have, I am not sure are my style anymore :( How do you stay in shape? BTW, we had the oposite summer, hot and so so humid; although it did rained a bit. Humidity is not my jam lol
Just walking and high metabolism Im afraid. Although I do have a treadmill that I need to set up once we are in our new home so that I can start doing a little more 👍
Great video, Emma and I’m going to try a Pinterest mood board ….. while I’m excited for fall fashion I’m more excited about your move!!! I simply cannot wait and hope you take us along
Yes we have a few plans and obviously want to add our own touch to the new house so there will be a mix of fashion and DIY/reno videos over the next few months ❤️
I am shooketh that you got rid of your MaxMara coat after you waited so long to get it and it was so beautiful, but I understand the explanation. I feel like the mission impossible theme should be playing in the background when you’re talking about your secret wish list that you’re keeping hidden from us 😆 a polite but friendly warning!! ⚠️🤣🤣
Hi Emma!! My name is Gemma and I live in Barcelona. I love your style!! For me, you are the best !! I've been following you for a long time on UA-cam and Instagram. I would like to know if when you move into the new house you will make a video of your new wardrobe and how you order and we will see all your clothes and shoes for this fall / winter. I already saw the video of last year's change of season but I would love for you to do, when you can, this year's and thus also see what you are no longer going to wear and if you have bought new clothes or accessories. I would be very excited if you answered me. I send you a thousand hugs !! 🤗🤗🤗🤗
Thank you Gemma. I will definitely be showing my new wardrobes and organising them once we are settled. As my current ones are built in we won't have any wardrobes to start so will need a little planning time but once we get cracking I will definitely share it ❤️
Hi Emma just one question ❓ Have you ever bought celine 's jeans ? They are very expensive but i have bought one and i think you will like them 😉just in case Follow Emma hill guys! Two of my fave fashion icons are Victoria Beckham and Emma !! 😘 take care
No I haven't as I personally prefer to go to a dedicated denim brands (as its their speciality and so the quality should be very good) or high street because they provide decent quality for a good value. And thank you ❤️

The best way to get the best fit is to shop in person. I have returned / sold so much of what I've bought on line that when I do the math, online shopping is way more expensive and not as satisfying.
High street trousers video please ! X
i feel you when you talk about perfect coat length on you cause i’m 180 cm and having long long coat or even long trousers is just a dream😂😂
Happy Sunday to you too and hope you had/are having a lovely trip ❤️
@@EmmaHill Thanks Emma! xxx
Hey Super Girl, Emma. ❤. I love the fall too. I 💘 autumn.
Really enjoyed watching this video (hope you can find your old Celine bag soon!). Thanks for these great tips on how to plan a wardrobe for the new season. I'll really have to keep them in mind. I use Pinterest to create mood boards based on what styles I like but I've never actually separated them by season. I think it's a great idea and I'm gonna give it a go too 😊
My issue is finding sleeves long enough without having to up-size from my usual size, I’m 5’11”.
LOVE this!! xoxo
😘
What type of material do you recommend for trenches with movement? I have a basic black cotton raincoat and would like one that’s not so stiff. I’m short and have the opposite problem with trousers and coats. What about a menswear coat instead? KarenBritChick is tall and buys men’s coats for the length and style. Kudos to you for not sharing your private wish list. People forget that you are not required to share EVERYTHING about your life. I’m proud of your boundary setting. It took me a while to learn how to do that. 😃❤️🧥👖
I have a couple that are made lyocell and viscose which are a lot more fluid with movement ❤️
@@EmmaHill. Awesome. Thanks!
Good morning, and thank you for your work!
Good morning, hope you are having a lovely Sunday ❤️
Any favorite sites for second hand clothes?
It really depends on what you are looking for but Vestiaire, Depop, Ebay & Designer Exchange are all good places to start 👍
Super Outfits😍❤🤗 Emma Love your Style🤗🤗🤗
Thank you ❤️
The move is excitiinnnggg. Will we are moving videos ? 🖤🖤🖤🖤
🤞
Have you tried Filippa Ks navy wool cashmere blend Alexa coat?
I haven't. Is it any good? I believe someone else mentioned it too so I will have to check it out 👍
Will def look the old switch overs again , altough I've seen them all , but still love them !!! ;P
Have a great day you two :)
Thank you Stella, you too ❤️
No because I started using more no.6 which is a leave in conditioner and therefore found I didn't need the no.8 (which is the mask) and now I use 4,5&6 as an every other day routine 👍
what shoes are you wearing on the photo with this beige curated coat?
If you head over to my page (linked in the description box) all the outfits are there with the links. 👍
@@EmmaHill thank you!! are the ones from flattered warm?
I was ready to switch over and then it went hot again. What is this summer?
Coats are hard for me and have been searching for years for the right one. I'm 5"9 as well, but my legs are shorter than my torso and long coats make me look ridiculous. I might get lucky this year lol
I know, I can't believe it 😂 Been out this morning and it has been lovely 🙈😂
Useful conversation.
Have you tried cos or arket cashmere and do you recommend it? Thank you
I have just recently purchased my first item of cashmere from Cos and find it to be nice quality and I really like Arket cashmere 👍
@@EmmaHill thank you
Hello, nice way to organise and to be more "responsable" in your way to shop !!!!
Thank you for the tips👍But now I'm look for more dark blue throusers, I always love them but I never dare(I'm stucked with denim even I try to change a little bit 🤣)
Merci et bises
Hey Emma, why don't you have a camel coat tailored? I used to live in the UK and have previously used Chrichton Bespoke - London & Chester - really nice family!
I hadn't really thought about it if I'm honest so will have to give it a think, so thanks for the prompt and recommendation 👍
@@EmmaHill my pleasure! I love your look! 🖤
I predict the céline hobo you want is the larger one, in a textured black.
I look forward to finding out if I’m right 😉
😉
Thanks for the tips. Perhaps I should do planning. I don't even look at Pinterest. I have a lot of clothes. Some I've donated and I gained weight, so the clothes I have, I am not sure are my style anymore :(
How do you stay in shape?
@@EmmaHill …Yay!!! Looking forward to your projects … so interesting … and we have to see how the pups settle in to their new space
😂 I know it was beautiful so it was a hard decision but had to be done so that it would get some love and use 🙈
As my current ones are built in we won't have any wardrobes to start so will need a little planning time but once we get cracking I will definitely share it ❤️
Emma Hill Thank you very much for answering me !! You don't know how happy you have made me !!😃🤗❤️
Not a problem. Hope you have had a fantastic Sunday ❤️
The competition conversation is hilarious 🤣 but I get it!
Its like the scene from friends with Monica's wedding dress, only virtually 😂
Does anybody have the link for her autumn moodboard in the beginning? is it public? :)
The one I showed here was made specifically for the video and deleted after but you can find me on Pinterest by searching @emmahillofficial 👍
Hi Emma just one question ❓
Have you ever bought celine 's jeans ? They are very expensive but i have bought one and i think you will like them 😉just in case
Follow Emma hill guys! Two of my fave fashion icons are Victoria Beckham and Emma !! 😘 take care
No I haven't as I personally prefer to go to a dedicated denim brands (as its their speciality and so the quality should be very good) or high street because they provide decent quality for a good value. And thank you ❤️
Hi, do you use Pinterest mobile version or on laptop? Pinterest is lovely, but for some reason it's sooo complicated for me 😂
Both. It does take a little getting used to but I love it 👍
