Because it's not really about hero mastery, they're ultimately just speed run modes for the people that like doing speed runs. Blizzard pumps out new game modes constantly to try to keep player retention up, or even draw in new players just because of these modes.
@@brodiepasker9918 Lucio boop dealing more dmg when enemies hit a wall is the only thing here, but winstons alt fire can electrocute many enemies at a time which is also not accurate of how it works in game
If you wanna argue about different versions being used for the mastery courses, none of the examples change at all in how these abilities are used within, after all the primary purpose of hero mastery is speedrunning trials in the leaderboard
I’ve 5* the recruit mode and had top 500 on Xbox since it came out w/o doing most of this lol. I mean I’ve dropped a lot on leaderboards, but you definitely don’t need to do most to even 5*

I just tried out Recruit today and managed to get ~11,250 without watching any guides. Somehow I keep missing out on maxing the healing. Also in the first room after the first straightaway I actually boop the first 2, then wall ride around the right side, shoot the individual bots, then drop a little to boop the pair of bots and wall ride across the coins and immediately jump down into the pit. I'll have to try your way, I'm assuming it's faster. But I've definitely been doing the "big coin" room wrong. I just speed boost the friendly bot to the big coin and then double back to the healing part.
Bruh, In the veteran level, the last giant coin, I get motion sickness because I can't ride in a straight line and my lucio goes round and round. I'm probably losing 20-30 seconds to get this part, as I arrive with 1 minute left of the 3x chorno. BTW, I'm so happy that I'm in the top 300 for Agent (Europe)
Im rank 3 on EU Veteran Tracer currently and I always thought about leaking how to get a good score but I really want to stay in top 3 in case we might get rewards some day yk?
I really doubt you'll remain top 3 just by not leaking the strat. The chances that you have the best possible strat and you executed it to perfection is pretty slim, so someone will inevitably beat your score. Especially if there's incentives. Most people aren't even trying to do hero masteries right now.
@@Mr_Stingthey might. Try dmging the barrel and punch destroy it when you are really close and standing still. Id have to double check if they have a small displacement. Its something i disregarded because tracer recruit any% doesnt pass by a usable self barrel
I have a question and I'm sorry for my bad english how do you make the beginning on veteran? If I try to "climb" the slide like you I will lose immediately my speed

Having custom abilities in "Hero Mastery" is beyond stupid. The entire point is to improve at the hero, so why give them a custom kit for this mode?
