  • Testing a new amplifier. Marshall code 25. Playing a blues riff from the band: Black keys. A little master of puppets intro riff. And some other stuff.

The Marshall Code gets so much unnecessary hate.
I have the 100 combo version, better I feel, especially with the effects loop and speaker out options.

Completely missed your comment, I thought I had notifications on in my mailbox, but apparantly not.
Thank you very much for your comment! And I agree, these amps get too much hate. It's a great beginner practice amp. But I'm a bit old school too, the best part of analogue amps, is there's usually just knobs and you just adjust, find a sound and play. And in my experience I get a better sound when I connect a drum machine to analogue amps. When I connected a drum machine to the marshall code, the sound of the drum machine changed drastically according to the preset channel I was using. It didn't sound good. At least I didn't get it too work, maybe there is a solution, so that the drums sound exactly the same no matter what preset you are using..
Anyway, thx for comment again 😉

I am very hesitant between code 25 and mg 15gfx. Are the effects the same in both packages or not? I feel that the 15 is more stable in sound and more aggresive.

@@user-fe4mh8gv1w Hi, thx for commenting! Unfortunately I can't give you an answer. I only own the marshall code. Both amps are getting great reviews though, which you probably already know. I personally, used to have a lot of "buyers anxiety", difficulties choosing what to go for. I think it's better to just pick something and start playing, and if you don't like the amp, well it doesn't lose it's value on the second hand market by that much.. But you gotta do what feels right for you, obviously.
