- April 5, 1937, Victor Red Seal Records.
Played on my 1939 Silvertone Radio Recorder with a stereo Electro-Voice cartridge and diamond 3 mil stylus tracking at about 10 grams..
I absolutely adore how I can search ‘Clair de lune gramophone’ and actually come up with something so I can hear the sound quality and get a vibe for it. Bravo internet. Bravo.
Same search

Amazing sound for 1937,
It was a great moments when I listened it for first time five years ago and still listening it almost every night before sleep it's a great piece I love it so much ❤️
Non-existence is the best ever for everyone, in this life and in any other life, sadly; it seems we all are not lucky enough to get the best !!!! 🖤
Thanks so much..I really enjoyed this posting.

The Evil Within
The Evil within music
RUVIK!
Yes, the evil within brought me here. Lol. I thought it was a theme music composed for TEW exclusively, but turns out to be a well-known classical music. Surprise, surprise.

Exactly what brought me here. This song never fails to send chills down my spine.
A purple-haired eldritch being brought me here.
So this was released 32 years after Debussy publication, how come it took so long if gramophones already existed in the 1910's and 1920's?
Mr_x 1992 Using a gramophone at that time was very difficult: Firstly because it was very expensive; Secondly because a single error and we had to start all over again from the beginning (the vibrations of the sound on the speaker engraved the song on a cylinder, well, it's more complex, obviously.). Basically, an error and a new cylinder was needed. I guess this version was recorded with an electric microphone which was much simpler and which made the sound better ...
Records from early times were recorded acoustically, which took a hit on quality of the sound. This is an electric record which has better quality and as such can capture the song better
Boy that starts out with some heavy vibrato ! In the player or in the production ?
This sounds creepy
