Yes he absolutely has been part of their success, there have been shows where Hard 8 has saved the shows, but there have also been too many times where Hard 8 has ruined some episodes.

I agree with BG on the 30 FPS thing, I play on PC and on PC 60 60+FPS is needed. On console, as long as the PACING is spot on & the frame rate is locked @30 it plays fine.

I agree with the sentiment that games were better before. Games just felt more complete and were fun (for the most part). I also agree with SolidRev, as time goes on we are supposed to progress but we are actually regressing. Besides graphics, I would argue that everything is worse with a few exceptions of course (like The Witcher3). Even with game delays and other sets of circumstances, games (again not all) still feel rushed, incomplete and lack replayability. All this emphasis on open worlds today is also saturating the market and making the devs focus on wrong things like lame side missions and fetch quests just to pad the game's "content" (e.g Arkham Knight riddler trophies to get the true ending) I'd rather have a linear game with some meaningful good sidequests than an open world game with a ton of boring and pointless sidequests.
Because of patches, devs can actually rush games releases and fix the game later (this is part of the problem). I just beat FFXV and they patched a lot of stuff that was missing to try to fix that trainwreck like implementing new cutscenes and game mechanics. I feel bad for those that bought that game day one. The game NOW is a 6/10 at best, I can only imagine the state of the game 2 years ago. Another example is AC Unity, terrible day one, I beat it almost a year later and it's a good game.
Ratchet and Clank reboot on PS, besides graphics the original is better in every way and has way more content. Ratchet and Clank PS4, is the only game in the franchise I only finished once, the game is just boring and lacking. It's not even better than PS3 ones like Tools of Destruction. Deus Ex Human Revolution is way better than Mankind Divided.
Final Fantasy XIII is better than XV. GTA IV is way better than V be it the story, cast and attention to detail.V has SOME cool missions and there's more to do after finishing the story but other than that it's mediocre (I would even argue that the side stuff is not interesting). Metal Gear Solid IV is way better than V, V has a slight edge on gameplay but that's about it. Mafia 2 is way better than Mafia 3. I could go on and on and that's just examples of last gen (off the top of my head) I could go beyond that.
