So? Very few relationships "last", if you're talking a lifetime in one status. But even those don't, not really; they change as well, because people change. Does that mean that no-one's ever had a "successful" relationship? If you have work friends at a job, and end up not seeing them so much when you change positions, were those relationships "failures"? "Lasting" is such a odd metric on which to solely judge a relationship's success. In all likelihood, some of the most impactful relationships you'll have in your life will be relatively short. Conversely, some of the most miserable people are those who've stuck to terrible relationships because they think longevity is the only thing that matters. I'm not saying there's no point in aspiring to and working towards a lifelong connection with another person; just that it's pretty arrogant to think that you can force the vast complexity of your social interactions with someone else into a simple box just because you want to. If the past years have taught us anything, and they haven't, it's that reality doesn't give two shits what we want, and we just gotta deal with that as best we can. The trick may lie in discovering what "best" means to you.
some people in this channel's comment sections really HATE cameron, huh. she could literally breathe and y'all would find some way to vilify and crucify it. she's way TOO overhated by this fandom, especially since a lot of other characters (house, chase, foreman) have done much worse things, yet they are still beloved and praised. i don't care what anyone has to say, allison cameron is still one of my favorite characters of all time. she's actually interesting, unlike a lot of the later cast. she spices the show up by adding a layer of emotion and morality to it. the show got boring quickly after she left to me, and pretty much died when cuddy left. season 8 is not good. the first three season are the best.
If you have to ask for more time, the relationship is doomed to fail and end. If you truly aren't ready to accept that kind of deep relationship, don't enter one. Chase was too good to her.
I blame Chase honestly. He could have any girl he wants, like really. And he gives his time to Cameron??? Let's be honest, she has huge relationship issues. Poor Chase divorce is going to be tough.
@@shirleyxia9988 Cameron is not that bad, at difference from Cuddy, she actually cares about House, even that House dismiss her every-time because he have Kafka syndrome, so he goes for what he thinks that is "safe" and that he "knows" Cuddy, only that ended backfiring, because Cuddy put him in high standard that he never would archive, like leaving Vicodin when he was put into a corner, Cameron never would have judge him for that, but Cuddy breakup with him only for a tiny relapse, but seeing that House was based in Sherlock Holmes, Cuddy is his Irene Adler, but not as intelligent.
@@shirleyxia9988 No, the common theme are characters that are damage, House, Wilson, Cameron, Cuddy, even Chase after the death of his father, he become more ruthless, all of them were damage, some more than others, but House relationship with Cuddy was plain toxic, Cameron relationship with Chase was built under false pretences, sure, Cameron was using Chase thinking that she could find happiness somewhere else, but in the end, she find loneliness and misery, Chase continue his life and doing his old habits, but I say before, he become more pragmatic and cold, like House, he even pass a line that House never would pass and kill one of his patients.

classic source material being smarter than the adaptation ie they sucked at writing real intelligence so they wrote a character with ridiculous plot armour and omnipotence instead p much the go to fate of any modern Holmesian adaptation
lecter (at least hopkins's lecter) was far, far cleverer. the plot didn't conspire to make him a genius, the characters including lecter were written well enough that Clarice was whip smart and still had to go head to head, and fail, against Lecter. her motivations existed outside having a crush on House and the writers were smart enough to show that when she failed it wasn't because Lecter was annoyingly superior - its because that's the process of investigation, she had to think around her failures.
That's because she is an insufferable holier than thou purist who actually spends a LOT of time judging others and letting them know that they aren't as noble, and pure, and good as SHE IS.
Fun fact, at this point these actors was already dating each other., or even engaged, not sure. Spoiler alert: they broke up after all, Jesse Spencer already got married.
Gonna cause some controversy and get myself lined-up for several snipershots here with what I think is going to be an unpopular comment. I always hated her outfits.
Chase and Cameron is lazy writing. It's what they always do on shows: the actors get romantically involved, so the writers decide to write it into the narrative. By the time the shows air, the actors have broken up, but they are stuck acting it out for the world. In truth, Cameron was so terrible, I just wanted her to go away forever. I don't know why anyone would try to be with her at all. She just sucks so much. But as always, you have to get married in order to get divorced. It's a dramatic ending to the hell that is Cameron.
I found it really interesting (und gross) how people are so quick to call Cameron a demon when they show it's very clear to show how Alison and Robert were both doing so many mistakes in the whole relationship. Cameron was from the beginning telling Chase how she wasn't ready for a relationship and even listed the reasons why, Chase ignored everything and kept on persisting until he got a yes. Also Cameron started to make decisions out of fear of being alone and take more and more step in the relationship without even thinking if she even loved Chase after all. They were both at fault for sure, but I think since Chase was "doing it for love" people think is fine and a good decision, so they give him a pass unlike Cameron.
"Cameron was from the beginning telling Chase how she wasn't ready for a relationship and even listed the reasons why, Chase ignored everything and kept on persisting until he got a yes." I am SO sick of reading this, as it is utterly untrue. Chase got fired. Chase was leaving PPTH forever. Cameron sought him out in a bar and told him how much she would miss him. Chase responded by _apologizing_ for all the "It's Tuesday, I like you" reminders and even told her _she'd been right all along,_ that they were silly. Cameron then quit her job on House's team, showed up on Chase's doorstep, and told him, "It's Tuesday" (even though it was only Monday) because "I didn't feel like waiting." *She* went to *him* and initiated the romantic relationship. Perhaps characteristically, she did so only *after* Chase had made it clear his pursuit of her was over...but make no mistake, she did it of her own free will.
There *was* no relationship between House and Cameron, aside from her early-seasons unrequited crush/his concern for her as one of his team members (the same concern he had, to more or lesser degrees, for *all* of his team members, btw) and appreciation of her looks (the same appreciation he had for Thirteen and even Chase, come to think of it.)
To be fair, it was Chase's fault. He kept chasing her and chasing her when it was obvious from the very beginning she didn't care about him. She treated him like trash si many times and he kept bowing down, accepting every excuse on her book. The red flares were everywhere and he refused to see them, so when things went bad for HIM she used it as an excuse to dump her even when he gave her every chance and all the support, all the time. He knew her, he still went after her even with all the proofs on his face. He had it coming.
Huh… that’s quite true. Cameron gave very clear signs that she wasn’t ready for another relationship, but Chase pursued her and reaped exactly what he sowed. Of course, that doesn’t vindicate Cameron in my eyes, as she very much knew the reasons why she didn’t want a relationship but let herself get whittled down anyways… but it provides needed context.
Florence Nightingale was a nurse who would fall in love with her male patients because she felt sorry for them. Cameron fell in love with men she thought were damaged because she pretty much wanted a charity case- something she could fix. That was the reason she loved her dead ex husband, House but not really Chase. Chase was healthy, capable of forming human connection. He didn’t have many hang ups and maybe that’s why it didn’t last. She didn’t think there was anything for her to fix.
Commitment means you have something to lose. She lost one husband already and Chase has a reputation as a rake. They both have reasonable concerns about one another's capacity for fidelity. Chase was almost a priest before he became a doctor. All of the above could jeopardize their careers.
There is such a thing as "friends with benefits" but it's inappropriate at work, school, and any other professional setting. If your in a multiplayer game that's rated "t for teen" expect to hear what teens talk about, don't bring your "small children" to play the game like a complete ID10t. If the game is rated "m for mature" and your small child says to the lobby "No bad words, okay. I'm 8." I'm not staying and I'm not accepting a friend request. I shouldn't have to explain that, but I still get vilified for being "mean to a little kid." I should be able to play the games I paid for without being "ducking" investigated. GTA stands for "Grand Theft Auto" not "Good Teaching Apparatus." On to the teens you let buy it? Where do you think they can talk the foulest trash? The trash that isn't always trash? I overheard a boy in my class talk about his plan, not his fantasy, his plan to assault 'her.' No name, just a pronoun. I have no idea who he was talking about and no way to prove what I just heard. The administration wouldn't even take my complaints seriously. This was back in 2005 or so. Another boy, same class, openly swore he'd bring a gun to school and shoot girls. He had just misread the room and his joke fell flat. He tried so hard to be the class clown but he just didn't have the chops. In his mind, that was everyone elses fault. We were in junior year by then, and he was still doing that "I like this girl, so I'm going to pick on her as my means of interacting." I doubt any other girls entertained his attention. Everything brought to administration was met with " just ignore them" back then. I did try that, they escalated anyway. They escalated from.verbal to physical on their own. Only when I started snapping back with my wit at a higher volume did the school get involved. I was told I could say anything and this was a safe environment. I made the mistake of being honest. I roasted everything and everyone and described how temped I was to get physical right back at them. I was fed up with being targeted by idiots, dangerous ones, when my only means to succeed and move away was to get good grades and go to college. I was surrounded by what I can only describe as "blue collar legacies." What do I mean by that? "What do I need math for? I'm not going college! I'm just gonna take over dad's (insert private business here) and I'll have it made!" "What do I need good grades for? I'm really good at football! Dad's says he's so proud I'm gonna go pro so young! He's sets my diet, my schedule, girls are all over me all the time! I don't need to know how to read or write? Why do I have to study with the weird geek or the goth? I'm a JOCK!" But how does he accept the terms of his contract now? His parents? They want the NFL money, as do his agent and his manager. The NFL? They want those sweet, sweet ticket doll hairs hunty! And they will destroy anyone who challenges that. Financially, Emotionally, Spiritually, and most certainly Physically. How is selling your body to the NFL because you or your family need money that bad different from any other means of manual labor? Where's the hazard pay for doctors, nurses, orderlies, secretaries and any other positions that's vulnerable to the public? No where! Even if it comes it's immediately eaten up by living expenses and or paying your debts. Scammers are smarter than most in retail and they a certainly more tech literate than the living fossils in Congress. "Revenge of the nerds" comes to mind EVERY TIME I think "only fans." I don't need to log into my old gaming accounts from 13 years ago to know what kind of messages are waiting for me now. In the age of doxxing and 4 chan I have reasonable concerns about how much of my information is compromised at at given time. App that tracks your health and your steps? Gps. App that Uber drivers use to bring you home? GPS again. "Such and such business "near me?" GPS again. My location data could have been sold to someone who means me harm and there is "jackspit" I can really do about it. I can't afford to pick up and move and I shouldn't have to just because some guy I wouldn't date in high school can't let it go. My concerns aren't unique. This is a security problem for EVERYONE. Go to the cops? Which one? My grandfather was a raging, bipolar Vietnam vet. He was violent BEFORE going into the Navy. He was huge, "Big show" huge. If he wanted in your new how he'd get in one way or another. Doors no good if the walls are paper thin.
Perfect example of why we need to get to AI running things so bloody doctors personal lives don't impact on their abilities to perform their function properly.
The AI that's currently got all the bigotry of techbros and also all the arrogance? Tech helps us craft solutions, but it won't give us saviours.

“God I hope that is a euphemism “ 😂😂
Chase stop simping, only to go back to simping for a relationship that everybody but them knew wasnt going to last
Thank you, I agree. It’s easy to hate one person and excuse the other.
If you have to ask for more time, the relationship is doomed to fail and end. If you truly aren't ready to accept that kind of deep relationship, don't enter one. Chase was too good to her.
I never liked Cameron. Thirteen was such a better addition to the team.

Cameron is easily the least likeable of all the main characters. She is nothing more than a selfish, self-righteous hypocrite.
I bet people would like her more if she was a man.
There are many men on TV that are selfish, shelf-righteous hypocrites, and we love them.
Still a better love story than Twilight.
Chase and Cameron had no chemistry, unlike house and Cameron. Chase is a ridiculously good looking doctor and an Australian. If your girl isn’t moving heaven and earth to be with you, move on!
He was better as a blond.
Yeah, nobody will ever move heaven and earth to be with anyone unless you do.

Also, how does Dr House have such ESP? In a battle between House and Hannibal Lecter, who would win?
classic source material being smarter than the adaptation ie they sucked at writing real intelligence so they wrote a character with ridiculous plot armour and omnipotence instead
p much the go to fate of any modern Holmesian adaptation
lecter (at least hopkins's lecter) was far, far cleverer. the plot didn't conspire to make him a genius, the characters including lecter were written well enough that Clarice was whip smart and still had to go head to head, and fail, against Lecter. her motivations existed outside having a crush on House and the writers were smart enough to show that when she failed it wasn't because Lecter was annoyingly superior - its because that's the process of investigation, she had to think around her failures.

cameron broke chase the same way cuddy broke house
Cuddy didn’t break house. House broke everyone he ever came in contact with. House is damaged but he himself is the reason why he’s damaged.
Cameron might be my least favorite TV character of all time
That's because she is an insufferable holier than thou purist who actually spends a LOT of time judging others and letting them know that they aren't as noble, and pure, and good as SHE IS.

Cameron was so selfish and evil.. if House is 5 on the sociopath scale Cameron is 50.
A pathological psychopath. Not a socio, she doesn't have enough comprehension to realise she is one.
House got hella game
"Cameron was from the beginning telling Chase how she wasn't ready for a relationship and even listed the reasons why, Chase ignored everything and kept on persisting until he got a yes."
I am SO sick of reading this, as it is utterly untrue.
@@wobby1268 Thank you. The only thing I will say is that everyone from House to Foreman warned Chase that Cameron was bad news.

He had it coming.
to be fair Chase can't help that, It's in his name lol
@@muhamadhanifsafwanabrazak551 I know, right? Lol. They knew that they were doing
This sounds like Ted Moseby behaviour
lmao guys, your comments are hilariously accurate
Dont understand the title. What have to do with Florence Nightingale?
Florence Nightingale was a nurse who would fall in love with her male patients because she felt sorry for them. Cameron fell in love with men she thought were damaged because she pretty much wanted a charity case- something she could fix. That was the reason she loved her dead ex husband, House but not really Chase. Chase was healthy, capable of forming human connection. He didn’t have many hang ups and maybe that’s why it didn’t last. She didn’t think there was anything for her to fix.
Constant hiccups, pancreatic cancer?
When she said The hiccups thing and what every the other one was i could only think that I think we for a junior house on our hands
GTA stands for "Grand Theft Auto" not "Good Teaching Apparatus."
On to the teens you let buy it?

I dunno; the "tech will save us" argument strikes me as very similar to the Brexit debate ("I don't know how we'll keep our impossible promises, but I'm sure a solution will appear at any moment!") and to the alchemist's search for the philosopher's stone. Tech helps us craft solutions, but it won't give us saviours.
Ted, the way things are going, AI will have personal lives soon.
That's why human doctors are far superior, yes they're much more fragile, slow and conflicted than Robots. But they are the most important to make the critical decisions. No amount of programming and data could create something even close to Chase/Kutner hell even Wilson. Let alone House
For minor surgeries? Sure. For life changing procedures and medications? God no. Too many variables too much potential to make an error. AI can only learn what we teach it. We can learn anything we want and make calculated decisions based on said learning.

@@dolebludger "We can learn anything we want and make calculated decisions based on said learning." yes you are right. However AI can learn EVERYTHING and have billions and billions of simulated experiences, more than every single human who has ever or will ever have lived in the space of time it takes to read a good book. Whereas you need a "House" to have exposure to all sorts to be able to make the leaps and jumps he does to do his thing and AI would have access to all medical knowledge by being able to call on all medical papers ever written, not just the ones that a doctor would specialise down into. As for the procedures performed by robots, have you seen the devices that are already in use to perform the surgeries? Check out the Da Vinci robot surgeon, that is awesome. However it is still controlled by a human that can make mistakes for a variety of reasons that an AI would never be affected by.
