Really? Well, I'm beginning a book on the Southern California wrestling territory where they worked for a few years. Will definitely be mentioning them. They drew a lot of heat, especially with their "switching."
That's awesome! Thanks for sharing that memory. I was just watching some Ladd footage a lil' earlier by the way from early 70's San Fran. He was great at antagonizing the crowd and drawing heat! :D
My brother , cousins and me used to watch wrestling at the Olympic on TV. It used to come on KCOP, Channel 13,Los Angeles ,Saturday nights in the early 1970s. Those were the days.... "The Golden Greek" , John Tolos , Freddie Blassie , Earl the "pearl " Maynard , Mil Mascaras , Kenji Shibuya and his cousin Mr. Moto. " Let's wrestle , no hit!" Lol!
I remember a story in the Wrestler about referee Larry Lane wrestling a wrestler and getting destroyed. I can't remember,I think it was Lebell's promotion.I used to see these matches on uhf channel 41 in NYC on Saturday afternoons.

I must have watched every show on Ch. 34 in L.A. from '76- 79. Chavo was the face and big names would barnstorm through the Olympic. The best.

The twin devils were awesome
Fascinating !_!
Did Carlos Mata go on to become Raul Mata?
No. Carlos is Raul's younger brother.
Hi
Championship Wrestling from the Olympic never sounds right without Dick Lane.
