Happy with my 4.2 diesel patrol ute. Enough power, economy and reliability. Simply change oil , filter's and keep an eye on bushes and belts. A delight to own.
PS. A stompy v8 would be fun, this is an impressive build 👍🏼

James rotunno buy a td42 mate iv owned 2 tds and 1 zd.. you'll wanna go back to the power with decent fuel economy.. any series is ok just get them tuned right

pretty sure 4.5 and the 4.8 stock gearbox fit straight on the ls, just need flywheel and probs upgrade ur clutch. look up gu ls conversion kit, that’ll have everything u need

The body is wayyyyy better then the gq yeah GQ is better off road but just using a gu with a build will give the Gu the win
