Been thinking about making my 00’s accord a sleeper, love the Timelapse part, actually helps me get an idea of the many hoops you have to jump through to get it to work but I’m glad to see that most parts are compatible
GREAT Video, love your chihuahua, honestly stayed and watched mostly for the content/chihuahua sightings lol!
NOTE** to anyone swapping a kseries. DO NOT USE A TORQUE GUN for tightening your bolts. Literally every bolt is EASY to remember because the k24/k20 has all the same bolts.
10mm = 9-11ft lbs
12mm = 16ft lbs
14mm = 33ftlbs
17mm = 47ftlbs
19mm = 76ftlbs
It's not hard. Once you know what these torque settings feel like. You can ALMOST perform by hand. BUT DO NOT use a air/electric tool. Often bolts are too loose after torque-ing can be a huge issue obviously.
Never get to see any k swapped CD's... Subscribing instantly
Thanks! I have big plans and another motor waiting to make big power
Very cool! I love the 5th gem Accords. K swap sounds even better!
Thanks for the support! Still working on trying to create some content, stay tuned!
Sitting here in a parking lot in my cd7 and heard a straight piped fb6 go by and now I'm here 😂
Man the k series sounds so eargasmic
I just want to hear what it sounds like after I connected the exhaust
GREAT video! i'm from argentina and nowadays a i have a 5th gen, f22 engine accord. do the k24 engine mounts fit in the 95 bay? Or did u have to modify them?
Yes the mounts will fit 94-97 coupe, sedan, wagon minus the V6 version
Man did you fabricate all those mounts or what did you do that shit looks snug and held down great clean build 🔥🔥🔥
The mounts are from hasport which have been engineered to make this engine fit like stock!
Out of curiosity how much would you charge for the whole entire swap labor ?
Good job I'm doing 2 swaps one staying f22 and the other I'm still deciding its a cb7 coupe the one staying f22 is a 91 se.
Good stuff! The f-series is a good engine and there's still some aftermarket support floating around.
@zre909 thx I'm pretty excited about both builds one I'm staying na with the option to go turbo later if I can or want to. The coupe I'm thinking about going rw and j series or f just depends on $$$ as always.I think a rear wheel cb7 coupe will be different and cool.
@@Lost10mm. those are great options! Whichever route you take will be nice!
Hey bud, nice project!! You can tell me exacly what you need for front big brake? I have cd7 exr and i need this swap. I do some track day and need more braking lol
The front brake setup is
*95-98 US RA1 Odyssey spindle
*04-08 US Acura RL front calipers
*03-08 Nissan 350z (track/brembo) rotors
*Fat four customs caliper adapter
I'll be selling mine soon if I can finish my FK8 caliper conversion.
@@zre909 thanks bud for info!! I got the new de5,amazing car, really!!
@@zre909 spindle fit on accord oem knuckle? Cause i think swap for 2.3cl front hub for eliminate roh
@@Carlito_JDM Yes the honda odyssey front spindle fits and connects to the tie rod, lower control arm and upper control arm.
Just to be clear you will need the entire Honda Ofyssey spindle assembly including hub and bearing.
Really cool mate !
Honestly thinking about either H-swapping, or K-swapping mine. The F- series right now has over 300k but the car itself has various issue. I like the idea of fixing it up and keeping it in generations. If I Decided to Do a H22A swap, as a first timer how difficult would it be? Thank you for the video!
H-swap is pretty straight forward. Everything plugs in identically for the OBD2 but if you got OBD1 I believe you have to switch to internal coil on the distributor.
K-swap is so much simpler in my opinion but whatever route you choose it'll be your choice ! 👍
I want to put a k24 in my accord so I need to replace my wiring harness or can I use the one I have
What year accord? Also a lot of the k series harnesses are very similar so if you want to swap around harnesses there will have to be some slight modifying to a few connectors or sensors depending on the combination you use
Hello im looking into swapping my 98 honda accord with the K series from the F22. Were about would i find the kits?
You can get the kit directly from hasport.com or inquire about dealers which might have better pricing.
@@zre909 ok thank you
I'm debating if I wanna k swap my 5th gen accord or just building the h22a that's in it. The only mounts I seen are hasport and they want 600$ + when I factor in the mounts and hondata alone it's already a lot.
Well truly the H22 is a natural fit for the Honda accord considering its essentially the same chassis as the prelude. It really comes down to what you want and how much you want to spend.
How about a 2008 accord ?
Very possible because it already has a K24A4
Can u swap a 2004 3.0 Honda Accord for a 2008 3.5 ?
I believe you can. I am not a J series expert but I belive the engine has the same mounting points for various years.
Tengo un accord 2000 quiero ponerle un motor del civic o uno de accord pero 4 cil ya que el mio es el 2.3 que y que necisitaria
necesitará el motor, el arnés o el cableado personalizado y los soportes del motor
I have a 91 accord lx, 5speed manual with an F22a2? Would the k bolt up to the trans? How difficult would you say Kswapping this car would be?
The K series will definitely not bolt up to F series transmissions and k-swapping CBs is definitely possible as it has been done before.
My cd5 hasnt ran in nearly a decade so im contemplating just redoing the engine. Is there specific axles you need? This is the first video ive seen showing the ease of installing it. I have an 06 TSX and the engine itself is a damn reliable one. Just dont know how straight forward this swap is vs h22.
It's pretty straight forward. The only mount that needs modification is the passenger side mount. Remove it by drilling out the spot welds and prying it off. Then add hasport weld-in mount (weld after or before). I welded before because I lined it up while on the engine hoist.
I recently learned you can use the stock TSX axles and intermiate shaft but there is also the option of purchasing hasport axles and using the RSX manual transmission intermediate shaft
Nice👌🏼. Been goin back n forth between a H22A and a k24a2 for my cd5 haha, so hard for me to decide while I save $. Is the transmission lsd?
No but i have a separate transmission with a quaife LSD I'll be putting in once I get this B.A.R stamp.
Nice 👍🤝💯💪🔥
which set of motor mounts did you use? Im searching for a k swap conversion motor mounts kit
I am using the CDK1 mounta from hasport.
Do you know a harness that is easy to set up for a 2000 Honda Accord v4. I'm trying to start it out of car and run
Rywire makes a engine harness that can help you with that. Also it should be an inline 4. The name comes from the symmetry.
@@zre909 sorry ya I believe it to be a f23 after more looking into
A cg5
I have a 02 v6 Honda accord Ex and i want a k swap but I’ve also see people run the v6 which do you think is better
It would come down to preference. There is a lot of aftermarket support for the k-series and a decent amount for the J-series. The choice is yours!
Would it be possible to kswap 2001 accord lx with 2.3 inline 4 automatic. And what parts/mounts will I need?
Yes its definitely possible. You'll need a k24 preferably and aftermarket harness and ECU (hondata) if going the non-CARB route. The 94-97 Hasport mounts have been confirmed to work with the CG chassis.
@@zre909 for sure verified hasport mounts will work on 98-01 accords??
@@ziggyortiz37 yes and you can ask hasport themselves if you want firect confirmation
How hard is it to k-swap the 01 coupe with the v6? What all do I need?
It's not too difficult but I'd look into asking hasport if their mounts are compatible with the V6 mounting points
So would you recommend a K24 or the K20 from the RSX Type-S?
Really depends on where you want to go with it but it's been proven that with just bolt ons the K24A2 is better.
which hasport motor mounts are you using?
i have a k24z motor from an 8th gen accord / would i still need to replace the axle shaft as well for the engine mounts? i seen in a previous comment you used the hasport cdk1
@@karasu5970 so I learned that it's possible to use the original intermediate shaft and axles so you don't need to buy aftermarket ones
@@zre909 thanks man! planning to swap my 99 once the engine goes! at 260k miles so far!
I want to k24 my CB7 but damn 😢 so much shit 😅😅
It's definitely not easy especially the route I took but k swapping in general should be easy with an aftermarket ECU
@@zre909 bro to be honest I've been looking on the f23 it's a lot cheaper easy ...the f23 with headers full exhaust and H22 intake manifold ported it's punching about 165 hp .163 torque bro 👌 that's not bad .. will see time and money will tell me what to do 😅 but you know that K sounds rude🚗💥💥🔈🔉🔊
@@eddysevilla9648 exactly! F series can be just as fast with turbo or high compression and cams.
@@zre909 yeah bro so I'm going that route will see how it goes..... Thank you for being humble blessings 💪
I've got a 2004 Acura TSX engine. Would that engine fit into a 04' accord manual transmission? Plug and play?
Yes it should be plug and play but be sure to use the same ECU for the engine. I believe hasport has video out on this very swap into a 2004 Accord.
@@zre909 thanks! If all goes well, I’ll have the 03 accord. Need to win it at the auction this coming Thursday. Got the tsx engine ready.
What about a 1997 Honda Accord
i have a sixth gen accord(EX inline 4 auto) and i have some questions about this swap. how much will it cost? what parts besides the engine do i need? is there a better/easier swap than a k swap?
Engine cost: $850 - $1200
Mounts: $500
Axles: $500
ECU: $500-$1200
Misc parts: $200-$700
An easier swap would be an H22 or H23, also an F20.Those are basically bolt on as the H series and F series share similiarties in design. If you want a V6, the same year accord came with the V6 J-series so that is also an option.
I think I’ll try an f20 with a turbo kit and try to get 350-400 after tune. Thank you for the suggestion and advice
@@homlessdawg3183 no problem and good luck 👍
@@zre909 i think im gonna use foreing engines inc. they have a couple engines listed. they have a f22b, f23a, j30a, and a j30a1. which of these do you think is best?
@@homlessdawg3183 f23a is the one you already have if you have an EX
Can you k swap a 96 coupe?
Yes the coupe and sedan are both the same engine layout so it can be done in either.
Thats a 6 generation I want to do a swap in honda accord 2001lx 2.3 thats gonna work on it?
No this is a 5th generation Accord, and yes it is working so far.
How do you get the motor mount…thanks✌🏾
Hasport.com or any verified vendor
Is that automatic or 5spd? I'm trying to source out parts to swap a k on my CD5.
The transmission from the k-swap is a 6 speed
Saludos primo
I have a 2000 lx sedan what kind of engine swap can I do?
You cand do H series, K series and J series. There are mounts that will work for either engine choice into your chassis.
@@zre909 what motors did you use in doing a similar build a Honda Accord swap from 2004 into a 2001 accord
@@jeremycarattini9433 hasport mounts is what I used. The 2004 accord came with a kseries so it should be fine with the stock mounts or upgrade to similar style stock mounts with a bushing of your choice
I’m trying to do a k swap on my 8th gen accord beside buying the engine what else would I need ?
ECU and engine harness and it should be pretty straight forward since the 8th gens come with a k24 already
@@zre909 yeah it does but I believe the Acura TSX k24 I think it is has about 200hp
Appreciate the reply honestly didn’t think I would get one
@@forevercxmp1578 no problem. I'm doing a California legal swap so it's a learning process and a longer one than usual compared to doing aftermarket ECU or already K-series car
@@zre909 make sense keep up the good work I can’t wait to swap my engine for that of a tsx
I did a k swap on my 98
Did you use the 94-97 Accord mounts ?
What engine mounts are you using
Hasport CDK1 mounts
@@zre909 thanks
Any idea if I can k swap a 2005 accord?
Do you want to swap over to the K24A2? Because your accord if not the V6 version already has a K24A4
@@zre909 it’s a 4 cylinder. So it already has a k engine? I’m a bmw guy, don’t know much about Honda engines yet, just started getting into it
@@305tyrone4 okay so you have a version of the k-series engine already but the more desirable ones are K20A2 and K24A2. If you choose to go the K24A2 from the TSX with higher compression and higher horsepower it will simply be bolt on. Hasport has a video out on that swap exactly into a honda accord. They go under the name vtec academy on youtube.
