Standard #2 Philips works WAY better than a flathead. If you turn that adjustment knob sideways, you can see it’s just a gear on the back that turns a threaded rod. If you turn your screwdriver while it is tilted sideways, you can see the gear turn super easy. As far as adjusting for height, you need to be on flat level ground so the headlights can be adjusted to even. If you park approximately 40-60 feet away (3 full car lengths) and adjust them to just below the headlights at the impact point. If you look down the side of the truck, the lights should hit the wall a little below the headlight. NEVER ABOVE. That’s the point where you are blinding oncoming drivers.
Thanks. I have a 2019 Roush with the leveling kit. Dealer says the lights are fine, but I constantly get flashed and there is no illumination difference between low/high beams on the road.
Nice truck! I have the same model and year and colour except mine isn't levelled. I just purchased LEDs for the headlights from F150LEDs and will adjust now if necessary adding new LEDs. Thanks!
So I got my truck leveled 2.25” & have for a few months now, also have put leds in & have been getting high beamed like crazy going to work in the morning the past 2 months. So I went to go adjust my headlights tonight since I finally had time to do it, but I’m not seeing a screw down In the adjuster like I’ve been hearing. I’m just seeing a flat surface with a clip off to the front side of the adjuster so I’m still a little confused & would like some help/clarification if you wouldn’t mind!
Actually what is inside the space is a wheel pully, like the small one that put tension on the bicycle chain. With a light you should be able to see it. It is not turning the screwdriver, but turning that wheel.
Are you able to adjust the headlights side to side (vertically)on this or other vehicles? Sometimes it's helpful to move the left light inwards if it's out of line. Thank you.
I’ve got a 2021 lariat. And I swear my left headlight is pointed further down than the passenger. There’s like a noticeable V on the left compared to the right. Is this normal ? I just had new headlights installed. They are stock lights. Through insurance. And I swear they are slightly different than before but maybe I just never noticed it ? I tried adjusting them with that screw adjustment and it didn’t seem to do much.. any ideas ?
Having the same problem, I purchased a 2023 f150 around 1 month ago brand new. And I noticed how my driver side headlight is higher than the right side. Did you ever fix the problem?
Yup, the 4 sides of the tip of the screw driver mesh better with the little adjustment gear and spins pretty easily once ya get it going. Just did mine tonight
Love the truck and wheels. Which wheels do you like better. The vandals or sledge? Also did you put a 2" level on your truck? I have a silverado 1500 rst and front and back are only 1 1/4" diffence and don't want the front sticking up in the air. Thanks
Hey its me again....lol. im looking at buying some fuel vandal wheels 20x9 with falken wildpeak at3w 275/60. Rigjt now I have all stock. 18" wheels with 265/65 tires. Im really torn on what to do if the 20" wheels are worth it..was going to get them but I started reading some cons on getting a bigger wheel/ tire. Im ok with the loss of maybe 2-3mpg. However, i read it could be bad for your truck in the long run since the truck was made for the size of wheel/tire it came with. Adding all that extra weight might not be good. Hope this makes sense. Thanks for any help you can provide as with your experience.

Dude thanks for the video! I leveled on my truck 2'' and added LED blubs to my truck. This is going to help me quit getting flashed by other drivers.
Yeah once you lift that front end, the headlights need to go down. Thanks for watching

Got fuel wheels on my truck to. Had 20's on my 2019 but downsized bak down to 18's. Got maxxis wheels and it looks awesome and raised the truck 2"
That sounds sweet! maxxis has good looking wheels!
Thanks. I have a 2019 Roush with the leveling kit. Dealer says the lights are fine, but I constantly get flashed and there is no illumination difference between low/high beams on the road.
Yeah, should be an easy fix
Mine said the same. Just because they didn’t want to bother. My lights were way off.
Thank you! I have the same 2018' as well with a 2.5" 285/65R18, Constantly being flashed.
Sweet! What time did you go with?
I went with Toyo Open Country A/T 3 sitting on fuel wheels. They're very similar to yours.

Those are sweet lights, thanks for your comment!
Super helpful, great video! Thank you 🤙🏽

What year is yours?

Thanks for the detailed info
Most important comment here! Because using a Phillips head would’ve been way quicker. Thanks

I’m not sure, that would be helpful to be able to do that
I meant horizontally.
These F-150s headlights cannot be adjusted horizontally
Dumb question… Is there a certain distance you need to be from the garage door?
I was about 50ft, it should be somewhere around that distance
Sweet, thanks man
yes very helpful. thank you
👍

I wonder if the headlight is installed correctly?

you can use a #2 Philips screw driver
👍

Nice looking truck 🤙🏼

I like the look of the Vandals better. The Sledge wheels are very popular in my area. I put a 2” level on the truck, and it sits level now
Was your truck exactly 2" different from front to back before you got it leveled?
I didn’t measure it, so I can’t say, but it appears to be “level” now, so it was close to “2 difference
Thanks

Yes!
What’s your wheel & tire setup man ? Looks great !
I’ll do a video of it, stay tuned
It's designed for a philips screwdriver, not a flat head
Okay, thanks
Sounds like Zach Galifianakis owns a F150. 😂
Heck yeah! How'd ya like my performance in the Hangover?
use a philips screwdriver iworks better
Thanks for the tip!
there is no way to adjust them properly for on coming traffic by shinning them on a garage door
Oh??
