Yes, you can. Though they'll look smaller they are still bigger than normal ones and they all have a mark/title of former titan. They are around you find them, except dodonzo, since you get instead tatsugiri.
The Titans were a cool idea by themselves, but I got a bit disappointed while noticing their battles were kinda lame, being pretty much just glorified wild encounters with pretty much no gimmicks. I tried to imagine what they could have looked like if they worked like other RPG bosses, especially Persona, and I just realized how much missed potential there is. Here's my idea to fix the Titans. - Klawf: the first phase plays out as normal, but during the second phase, it gains a notable defense boost and becomes way harder to damage. Arven notices the moves are dealing almost nothing, and the player can give Arven a special order, allowing him to send Shellder to hit Klawf from behind, flipping it upside down and greatly lowering its defenses. To keep it distracted, the player is required to attack three times in a row, otherwise the special order fails. - Bombirdier: the player is given Protect before the battle starts. Bombirdier has increased health and can sometimes drop a boulder on the player's active Pokémon after a charging turn, dealing huge Rock-type damage. During Phase 2, Arven can perform a similar special order, letting Nacli bounce back one of the rocks, dealing damage and leaving Bombirdier stunned for a couple of turns. - Orthworm: increased health as usual, but after a few turns, it will randomly flee to another location, forcing the player to restart the battle. When Arven joins, the boss will temporarily stay in so that the player can give a special order to block off one of the tunnels, forcing Orthworm out of the ground when it escapes and leaving it vulnerable. - Great Tusk/Iron Treads: the Titan starts with super-high defenses, and the player is forced out of the battle after dealing enough damage. As the player escapes, Arven joins, and the Titan starts chasing after them across the desert in a pre-determined pattern. The player is required to enter battle at least once and keep the Titan distracted for some turns as Arven sets up a bait, and then escape or lower the Titan health enough, leading the Titan to crash against a stone and remove the defense boosts. - Dondozo/Tatsugiri: during phase 1 Dondozo gets a double omniboost and will fight with an increased moveset (including coverage and recovery) as well as a Tatsugiri-Attack in its mouth. After phase 1, Arven joins, and he can be given a special order to cook a bait that will force Tatsugiri out of Dondozo's mouth. If the player keeps Dondozo distracted by attacking repeatedly for the time needed to prepare the bait, Tatsugiri will pop out of Dondozo, leaving it defenseless and being easily defeatable. After that, Tatsugiri gets a stat boost out of rage for seeing its partner faint, and will start phase 3 as it does in the main game. Let me know if you like these new concepts for the Titan fights!
