this is a song about her friend who commited suicide during Summer. She has always reminded her of that friend every Summer.

Committing suicide is a scary subject. I personally don't understand how deep into a depression one has to be to end their life. Just recently tWitch a famous hip hop dancer ended his life in a hotel room, leaving behind his wife and their children, tWitch was famous from the So You Think You Can Dance show, first as a contestant and then came back as an all-star to dance with the contestants, then went on to judge on the show. Then was a DJ on the Ellen Show. tWitch and his wife did a lot of dance videos on YT, he was such a ray of life. I just don't understand why he did it as does everyone else who knew of him. To anyone who is even thinking about it, please get some help, don't do it.
For some suicide is about control. When they feel their life is spiraling out of control suicide is the ultimate act to take full control cause nothing is more definite then death.

There are a lot of folks doing reactions to her songs, but you're one of the only one's doing this one. Why no one is doing her more familiar songs, IDK. Some of my favorites are Mariner's Apartment Complex, her covers of Doin' Time and Season of the Witch, and Blue Banisters.
I would recommend Ride or Chemtrails Over the Country Club (as well as her entire discography tbh)
