How are you guys doing in Crota's End?
Unfortunately won't be able to attempt this yet still working for level 30 want to get that raid chest piece from VOG for my warlock trying to avoid spending vanguard marks on armor and save for weapons or materials
My team has been to busy and none of us are level 30 (mostly 29) but I hope for a run soon.
Since I have finals this week I won't be able to do it until Friday.
***** I know I am trying to save my vanguard marks for upgrade materials or weapons though and there are still loot items besides, the chest(warlock), helmet(Titan) I will probably do it for my Hunter only level 27 right now, that i want to get out of the VOG anyways

I doubt you will see this comment but to actually damage crota, give the guy that picks up the sword the chalice of light aswell to make sure he can regain health, everyone else take his shields down and crota will curl down into a ball for 2-4 seconds, that is the tiime when the sword guy goes to work on crota, get out before he tries to killl you rinse and repeat
Also dont forget to kill the knights on the top ledge either side of crota, it makes the job of the sword user harder and usually ends in him dying
I haven't started the Crota's Raid yet but I got the ATS/8 ARACHNID Exotic Helmet for my Hunter.
It still got a ways to upgrade it.

Hey Alan, long time subscriber here and I love your vids. Wanted to get your take, a Video hopefully :), on the fact that those who didn't pay for the DLC will miss out on the weeks that the DLC Weekly and Nightfall Strike is randomly generated. It seems unethical to me that one of the original strikes isn't provided to non-DLC'r's will miss out on the burn, xp, loot drops, and strange coins when the DLC strike comes around again for the weekly's. Just curious
hahahah I had that cloak glitch happen in the Vault of Glass, it was so distracting cause my friends cloak just kept flying around in the corner of my eye.
Alan um is there still going to be a stream of the raid? I've been waiting!
Today I only had the chance to get threw 2 loot drops in the new raid but I did pick up the new raid Warlock robe. Also during the nightfall I picked up some awesome gauntlets called Don't Touch Me which have the head of a rhino beetle on the shoulder and it's perk is when hit with melee you turn invisible
Crotas end Is incredibly unique but the last part is something fierce !

Ok I found a chest at the begging of the raid. Its a random chest. It appears to move locations but seem to always be In a doorway of sorts. One of the doorways is at the second light on the left. Rather than running right to the next light.
All so I wanted to know if you did The Violet Of Glass on the new difficulty would your raid gear be just as good as the new raid gear? As I think some of the armor pieces have better are perks. But I don’t really want low level armor.
Should I dismantle my Vog gear and just get lvl 31 gear and soon lvl 32? Cuz i still will be running fog but i don't get the point of switching back to lvl 30 even if you have level 31 or 32 gear even if the old gear has some damage boosts in the Vog. So should I dismantle them for some easy shards or keep them for no use?
I took a break from destiny after AW came out. Is it worth coming back to for this dlc?
I've only gotten to the swordbearer bridge. I've gotten the Dogged Gage, as well as another member in my fireteam.
I think you have to get the sword from the sword bearer in the middle of the room and use it to damage crota when he goes down.
Yea, the only way to damage him is take his shield out and let the guy with the sword attack him while he is down. But make sure he runs away before Crota gets back up, because he will insta-kill the sword guy and his over soul will be summoned.
I also got really lucky and got the same stuff as your friend did :D

I notice that same thing when I open my inventory while loading in the crucible, my robe glitches out and flies everywhere.

So you have not finished the raid but how were you able to record the last bit without crota smashing your face in?
I got the Gloves and Boots for my Warlock so far :D :D Haven't killed Crota, but we got there in just under two hours completely blind (as in we didn't know what to do yet).
Did they get those pieces of gear from down the raid on level 30 or normal ?
Can u get non primary weapons or exotic weapons from the raid. I've only seen armor so far. I know that the primary weapons will be in the hard mode CE
How about giving us your opinion about th new raid vs the old?
I only did one part of the raid....which was the bridge part...and managed to get boots for my hunter! :D
I got the exotic titan ruin wing gaulets from the night fall. Im level 31 and trying to find a good raid team.
Am I able to get rewards as many times or weekly?
I haven't gotten any raid armor yet, but I did get Black Hammer as a drop for killing Crota this morning, making the rest of my party jealous, so I was happy! lol That sniper is actually pretty powerful! I was getting minimum 3000 damage on critical hits without any of the upgrades!
More console did you find the chest in the first section?
What weapons can you get from the raid
I've got 2 pieces of raid armour already and I haven't finished the raid yet
I got 2 raid pieces and the fusion rifle with the shader and a lot of the new upgrade stuff
got a legendary heavy machine gun from a blue engram. faith in destiny and the cryptarch restored!
in the first chest where u spawn i got suros regime and when u finally the ogre to get crossed the bridge i got the warlock chest armor
On what part did the titan get the chest plate?
pretty good so far i got the the titan boots and gloves
Cloaks are glitched period... I was looking at cloaks at tower vendors via details and 1 cloak did that... Later in barrens i was switching stuff in character loadout and same thing
I've got Crest of Alpha Lupi for my Hunter, it has 36 light!
Sweet can't wait to get home and play
Hey console. Our team's still stuck at crota last night. Couldnt figure out how to beat him and decided to call it a night. Will probably run it again today. One of our teammates got 2 pcs of raid gear while most of us got shards only. Hope we get better loots soon.
I am at the gatekeepers and I already have No Land Beyond and the hunter arms! as well as 4 of each radiant shards and energy!
Titan armor is beast I think Titans are highly needed in this raid
Could someone who has TDB please answer this question? Are King's Watch, The Jovian Complex and Bunker RAS-2 opened up in Patrol Mode (as in they're not just dead ends)?

Jovian Complex is the strike, Bunker RAS-2 is a story mission and King's Watch is for The House of Wolves DLC.

It sucks that I'm just now finishing VoG on normal, but at least I'm already up to 30 with an upgraded exotic, new Vanguard gear, and the Eris urn quest reward. I wish I wasn't so behind the standard, but I'll attempt this raid once I get my fully upgraded Vanguard set and a more useful exotic.

Eris will never leave ever!!!!
Eris is basically the vanguard for the new DLC. She will be around for as long as the DLC content exists.

Hay did you know you can find legendary gear on the dark below missions. In the blue engrams that you are given at the end of the mission the light goes past 30. I think it was 34 not 36 but it could at least help getting to level 31, Also because its a engram it can be for any class if do it with all 3 of you characters theirs a good chance of legendary.

I got read death again but this one has 302 damage than 279 from the first chest
You have to kill the sword bearer, take his sword and damage crota after the rest of your team shoots him to get his shields down. When shields are down nobody should shoot him or his shields regen faster.
I got the dragons breath from the exotic chest

Don't like how we get Murmur after the 3 short story missions. Did it under an hour. I thought this would have been a raid weapon
It doesn't seem to be all that great either. Check out the crucible vendor if you want a good fusion rifle. They're selling some really good weapons.
Is there a way to upgrade exotic pieces so there stronger ? Or do u only need 3 pieces of raid gear n u kud max out to lvl 32 ? N if that's not the case n u need a full set of raid gear to be 32, dnt have to wait till hard raid comes out so that u can get the helm ? Or does the helm drop on normal in Crotas End ?
If someone can answer these questions I'd really appreciate it. I haven't gotten home yet so I'm not quiet sure how the DLC is lookin.
xur now offers to upgade old exotics for an exotuc shard an 7k glimmer
but they r all randomly selected so one u have may not be pick

Wow that's pretty good I guess. For my titan I only have 1 exotic n that's my helm of inmost light. Kuz me personally that's like the best exotic armor peice for a titan. At least pre-dlc wise.
N will it increase it to 36 light to match raid gear or will I have to do a couple purchases with xur ?
Nathan Muniz Xur will sell upgrades to random weapons for 7k glimmer. Choosing to upgrade however will reset all progress on that weapon (meaning none of your perks or damage upgrades will be unlocked anymore) and you will have to re-level the weapon. Just so you know.

Its a shame that now the VoG is kind of obsolete, since the new armour in the Raid is SO MUCH BETTER, and at the moment, there is no way to improve upon the VoG equipment.

Yes you can but the second time won't give out any rewards until the weekly reset.
