I got the REI Sahara and liked so much, I got two. I'm on the husky side and they fit well. For the hoodie, the pull string is along the inside hem of the hoodie to tighten up.

Just the review I was looking for! Great job!
I need some advice and hope you can help. I am based in Manchester, England so no REI stores here, but a friend who is studying in Madison Wisconsin has ordered an REI Sahara Shade hoodie for me - I assumed the medium would be ok as U.S sizes arw usually pretty generous in comparison to UK sizes. Anyway I am 5' 11" and weigh 180 lbs. I am thinking I need the large size after seeing your video - the medium is arriving with my friend on Tuesday 23rd April. Do you think I need him to swap it for a large? Many thanks and greeting from old England!

I haven't got it yet! My friend in Madison will be bringing it back to England for me in June - that's why I wanted to make sure I got the correct size, I wont be able to exchange it once it's here in the UK.
Having spoken to an REI agent, I have been advised that a medium should be fine. We'll see!
