    Are you still going to use price per piece after this video? 😂

      Nope. I never have used ppp. I left out before the sets are smaller but look lots better imo. Better than even five years ago. Most of the retired sets people go on about and compare them to are outdated and have a rose hue. In the past. Gone. Not coming back. I prefer if they would stop and appreciate what we are getting for what it is. But that doesn't put ad revenue in their account

    Whatever the case, Lego is overpriced as it is. It's on the verge of becoming "rich people hobby".

      @bobaknowsbest  4 місяці тому +5

      Actually, Lego doesn't make as much money as you think. Alot of the price you pay is for that high-quality plastic material and mold. Sure, they make quite alot of money, but their not just outrageously over pricing their products.

      @@bobaknowsbest that's the thing - in the end of the day it's just plastic. 600 bucks for the Razor Crest? Cmon...

      Well, compare it to fake lego, then you realize why lego is so expensive. They actually try to make a quality product with pieces that will most likely last your whole life.

      @@THATONEGUY-hx9fs lego makes approximately 25% profit on each set. Which I think is relatively reasonable.

      @@bobaknowsbestproblem is they are downsizing with near no price downsize and excusing it by adding super small pieces as details

    the older sets used to have less pieces but they were bigger, let’s say they used 1 piece for the wing in 2013 but they used 20 for the wing 2024

    Price per piece imo is outdated and not applicable to today's sets. If it passes the eye test that's the best way to determine if it's worth it

    • @bobaknowsbest
      @bobaknowsbest  2 місяці тому

      Yeah, it used to work most of the time up until a few years ago when the sets got down sized.

      @@bobaknowsbest I have to disagree. Imo they downsize it and started using smaller pieces to please the ppp people still clinging to the outdated crap. More pieces smaller builds. That's what ppp did

    I still use price per piece, but in combination with eyeballing the build size and mini fig selection. I bargain shop way more these days, than back in 2010-2018 time. The crazy gimmicks and sales I do and look out for are kind of funny.
