Callum Mackay drowned in an accident six month after Joe ended his live. Callums friend Lewis Darroch also drowned while trying to rescue him. Totally unimportant side note: The pilot of the helicopter that came to their aid was Prince William of Wales, who was serving in a naval rescue squadron at the time.
I can't wrap my head around all the traumatic life experiences that Ren has had in such a young age. I didn't mention Joe, but Ren has truly been hit by lightning so many times in his life. That is a great side note. I'm not a royalist, but I like William 🫶
I was recommended that song when I did Crutch as I was told that Penitence were a follow up of that song (looooved it and listens to it every day after I reacted to it), so I/we will must def do it sooner than later.
Hey! I'd love to see your reaction to the following Ren songs, in this specific order: Freckled Angels (live) Su*c*de For Joe Really interested what you think about these works of art :)
Great to see No1 son front and centre on your stage. I can see from his face he has very strong character. And a musician as well. Lets hope he has his own UA-cam channel one day. Kia kaha from NZ
You are right! He has a very strong character and is one of the funniest I know of. He can always make me laugh. Right now he is not in any place for making his own channel, but he want's to react togethr with me once in a while. Kia kaha from Cph 🫶🏻❤️
I'm so proud nad I just love to hang out with him. We know each other very well and really enjoy each others company, so I'm happy that you can see that I'm SO proud of him. Thank you! ❤️🫶🏻💝
At first I thought you guys where from Norway 🇳🇴 At least the mother because of the accent. But happy to see someone so close metaforickly close to my doorstep. 👍 Best regards from Norway 🇳🇴
I’m a Norwegian and my son is half Norwegian/Danish. You’re spot on with the accent 🇳🇴 We live in Copenhagen and I’ve been commuting from time to time. God helg og takk for at du så med!🇳🇴🫶🏻
God morgen Rambergs! ☕️ It was great seeing the two of you this morning. Thank you for introducing us to your son; he seems like an incredible young man. As mentioned before, when you talk about your sons, it reminds me so much of my own boys and our experiences. Our family is very musically based also. Although I am the only one who plays an instrument (guitar and violin). We always have some type of music playing in the background, no matter what we are doing, whether it be busy work or just chilling and of course road trips. I liked Ramberg Jr's description of the song and how Ren is able to say so much with just a single instrument. You pointed out how Ren is able instill different emotions in us through his art, which is another skill of his that I love. I'm so looking forward to you guys reacting to Losing It.. 💛🤘🤙✌️
Good morning to you and good afternoon from us! Thank you for the recommendation. This one was perfect for Jr. and he picked it as you predicted yourselves. I'm happy that you can identify with the same dynamics with your sons. I love when he sits at the piano and plays while the youngest sing. I hope that one day "jr.jr" will react together too🙏🏻 Music makes the world a better place and Ren connects humans around the world. I'm looking forward to hear what you think of our "Losing it" reaction 💛🫶🏻
Ramberg JR here: I think he is playing on the white keys because he is playing within a certain scale C major/A minor which only withholds white keys, and this is also a great way to let loose since it can make for good "freestyle" playing.
Hey Ramberg Jr.! Pleased to meet you. Just a word of advice: you go down this rabbit hole (think Alice following the White Rabbit), you are going to meet a dozen artists--and that's just Ren. Then there's people like Chinchilla with whom Ren duets, but you'll want to hear her solo work as well. And of course the band The Big Push. A band that shows that Ren does play well with others. But that leads to Romain Axisa, a French performer who shared a flat with Ren for six years. His solo work is remarkable as well. This rabbit hole is amazing....
Ramberg Jr.: hey there! Thanks for the great advice. It sounds cool and I’ve like to check out the Big Push as it sounds like my kind of music. I’ll have to do it in my own tempo as I get easily overwhelmed. Ren is very cool and I trust my mom on picking the right music for me…
@@RambergReacts "I trust my mom on picking the right music for me" You are a lucky young man. That is something I could not have done. Neither of my parents cared for music much. The only time my sister and I got to listen to contemporary music was when we were doing dishes. Once a week we'd wash and dry really slow so we could listen to that week's top 10. So I'm a bit envious right now
It worked out perfectly! My son doesn’t sing when he plays either, so the music spoke to him as it did to me. Amazing what Ren can do with music. I’m so happy you’re up for more🙏🏻
Yes, I believe that my son understand the story Ren was telling on a much deeper level than I did. The music spoke to me, but I did have the words like Viggo for it.
I hope I’m not wrong, but your son reminds me of my son. My son is on the edge of the spectrum. My son and I are incredibly close just as you two seem to be. Excellent reaction. 😉❤️
That so lovely to hear 💝He might have some traits, but he "only" got ADHD. His younger brother has auDHD, so we are one small neurospicy family. I'm so happy you liked it- hopefully he will be up for the next reaction soon😍
@@RambergReacts no because if you do it with your son it will be new eyes on it and he is great the way he breaks down what it means to him really enjoyed your last video together ❤❤
Mackay is beautiful, no words needed ❤ written to remember his friend who died , what a tribute
It hit us both so hard! I don't know HOW he does it. It's a kind of magic🪄💫💝
@@RambergReacts you are absolutely right. Hope you react to more ren, my favourite ren song , is the beautiful, dear god
Ren for the most part is self taught both instrumentally and vocally. A lot he learned from UA-cam 🤯🔥🙏💪🐝🍀🇬🇧
That is so cool! This was just a mindblowing piece and the perfect first watch for Ramberg Jr.

This was lovely having you two react to this, your son is so so smart and was a great dynamic with both of you :)
Your words warms my heart and I'm so happy to hear that💝💫 I'm so proud of him and hope that he will do many more together with me in the future💛
Id love to see you react to Pemitence ft Molly McKenna if you havent. My fave Ren song. Spoken word and pure poetry 🖤

This is a beautiful tribute in stunning surroundings for a very close mate of his...
It is! The scenery is perfect as Mackay is perfection too!💛💛
Jr done good 👌👍 look forward to seeing both of you do more Ren.... love your vibe ✌️♥️🏴.
I'm so happy you enjoyed it! We've been updated on the Scottish pronunciation of Mackay- I hope you can forgive us! 🙏🏻❤️💝
Ren does all genres...rock, soul, jazz, blues, HipHop and everything in between! He has a huge catalog!
Thank you, Anne🫶🏻 It’s mindblowing how many musical genres this talented young man can cover! He is a musical genius🌟
Anybody moved to tears by piano deserves my subscription.
I look forward to more Ren reactions, and will also catch up with your others.
Thank you for subscription and that you liked the reaction. I appreciates it so much. And thank you for catching up on my journey 🙏🏻🫶

I agree!! He picked up upon the song on such a much deeper level. He got inspired and started playing right after the recordings🫶🏻

Thank you! I really enjoyed doing the reaction with him too, and it seems like he is up for more❤️🫶🏻
Lovely to hear a pianist's view of this piece, I feel the same way about the themes in the music. ❤
Yes, and he discovered the uniqueness of Rens "freestyle" and that this scale hits the emotions ❤️

Filmed at Drumheller Alberta Canada. In the badlands. It’s a short drive out of Calgary where REN receives treatment.
What a beautiful location! That’s also so pragmatic of him. Getting treatment, but not letting that stop his need to create. I’m so impressed by him😍
Great reaction guys yes bring your son back love the interaction👍👍
Thank you! Will bring as often as he wants to be on🫶🏻✨
Nice reaction I think you make a good duo
Thank you! Me too, so I hope he wants to continue doing the reactions with me🙏🏻
ALWAYS a play a video to the end. :) You missed the dedication to his friend "Callum Mackay". This was a requiem piece.
Yes, I remembered that as I did this mistake previously. If you watch to the end of our reaction you’ll see we discovered that! ;)
He is only playing on white keys ... I am unsure why ... but it brings out emotion.

So I've heard. I hope for a speedy recovery for him! 💛
AAAnnnd you meant the location for this video!😅So Sorry that I was SO slow!🙏🏻
I don't think I would have recommended starting with a song with no vocals, but it worked out great! Looking forward to more.

Beautifully described ❤ Looking forward to losing it!
Thank you, Helen! ❤️Loosing it was superfun to react and we're both very excited about what you guys will think of it. 🤸🏻🫶🏻

So we’ve been told now. I love this scenery!🫶🏻✨❤️
This is in Canada

MacKay, pronounced MacEye (I)
It's Scottish.
I'm so sorry for butchering his name :(
Start him with hi ren. Then the tales of Jenny and screetch
I believe that is the right next move. Then the Big Push as I know he will love them.
