Not a winter fisherman but I do like to wear my rain gear when it is cold out. I had a guy ask me if I thought it was going to rain when I was walking to my boat in rain gear. Going down the lake at 50mph when it is 50 degrees out you will appreciate some good rain gear.
Heated seats help the leather stay flexible & not crack in the cold. Always carry towels & a spare set of clothes just in case you make a splash & yes I was in a tournament and stubbed my toe on the carpet running back from the livewell and 40 degree water and 28 ambient gets your attention. Luckily I was able to dry off, change & continue fishing & won the tournament. Nasty weather but these conditions separate the men from the boys. One of the other boats seen me take a dive and they said I caught my fish diving for them...clowns but good folks.
A good friend of mine bought your 2023 Phoenix. I had to tow it back home from the NC/SC line when his transmission died. Good pulling rig. Looks awesome.
Terrible advice on tight boots. That cuts the circulation off. Gotta keep 'em loose so everything can flow. Wool is definitely your friend with some kind of wind blocking outer shell.

That's funny! I always wear rain gear even when it isn't raining.

That’s a special boat to me! Glad to see it to go to a good home.
@MattBeckerFishing I hope to get a few fishing days on it.
You deserve it after hauling it home! Lol
Thanks for the tip !
You're welcome!
Need to put extra clothes in the boat for sure.
It’s a must!
