Awesome shooting Ryan. It’s also great to hear the next generation of traditional bow hunting in the background of a video too. Keep it up, we really appreciate everything you do for the primitive and traditional bow hunting community.
This brings back memories. I started hunting rabbits in1960 with a 30# target recurve and port Oxford arrows. By 1968 I used a 45# Bear recurve on pheasants on the wing🎯 2020 and still sending arrows into space.
Great video and great tips, I recently hunted rabbits with a primitive bow and arrows with flintknaped arrowheads, all thanks to videos from your channel. Thanks brother!
It's sad commentary that you get age restrictions on a wholesome and natural activity. In addition, I've never seen you be disrespectful of the animals you harvest, and I can't say that about plenty of on-air shows.

The flank meat is perfect for slow cooking in lard. First you salt cure it (salt, sugar, and whatever spices you want) for 24hrs, then rinse and wipe it, season it and toss it in the pot in preheated lard. You want the lard to be just barely simmering. Cook for 2-4hrs and it's AMAZING. I raised rabbit for meat and I'd save up 10 or so (you can freeze them until you have enough) and then cook like this. I call it 'anything' meat because you can literally put it in anything as a filler. Even more than you can chicken lol. Alfredo, burritos, literally anything you'd use a meat filler in. Awesome video man! Thanks for sharing.
My people use the rabbit skins for blankets when sewed together in a way, and used to pretty some stuff up. Like, my quiver is made from a yucca stock and we use the skins to cover it to make it look pretty and soft. We also use them to silence our bows
Just ate a pan seared wild rabbit yesterday. I shot it with my recurve. First game taken by me with that bow. Pretty delicious and my kids absolutely loved it! Now I am hooked and constantly on the hunt for more of these delicious little creatures!

Very good shooting. I don't hunt with a bow anymore and I have not built one in many years. I miss it. The last rabbit I took with a bow was in El Paso in 1993. I was shooting a Martin recurve. It is good to see the return to instinctive shooting. There was a while there when I thought the skill would be lost in the western world. Subbed.
As a kid I would take my aluminum shafts that split at the end and cut them off then glue a 38 special case onto the end for use on rabbits and squirrels and birds. Another bonus was the fact that the flat point flipped the arrow over and layed it on top the grass instead of burrying under to be lost forever with field points.
This is great a great video thanks Ryan. I love rabbit and hope to get my daughter involved in harvesting meat and fresh veggies from the garden. We live in fast past world, but it is not hard to slow down and appreciate Earth.
Excellent hunting. Excellent primitive bow and arrows. Excellent Aim. Cameraman not so good. He needs to use better camera, zoom in on the target right before you draw and be aware of shades and angle relative to the sun light.

Those bones will make a great stock if you brown them well and then simmer them until the meat falls off the bones.
