Thanks for watching! Just thought I’d mention that “naff” can also mean something is a bit distasteful or unfashionable (eg. Ugly trousers you see in a shop). See you next week! 🤓
Hi Eliot. I visited London two times. .I remember "hi mate" ... all people pronounced. .and fish and chip's. . Beer San Miguel . Candem .. Notting Hill.. etc etc beautiful country. . Beautiful City of London .. By the way... I LIVE IN ARGENTINA
Those are really British words. The greeting at the begging of the video was: "You know, oh, it's a funny thing, you know?" Bloody - 'Curse word' - something bad happens or to emphasize Scrap - Physical fight with somebody Row - vocal/verbal argument with somebody Cuppa - To have a Cup of tea - you fancy a cuppa? or a 'cuppa of beer' (more accurate example LOL) Snog - Passionately kiss someone (make out in American) Naff - Not very good (a bit rubbish) Knickers- The lower half of ladies underwear (weird often British expression, I wonder why?) Could you give us an example of daily chatting? Fluke - to do it by luck Chuffed - really happy and pleased with yourself Thanks a lot, Elliot. Excellent lesson.
i'm guessing, the usage of knickers is when u say to your friend when she wears a short skirt until it shows her underwear... (maybe something like that)
Woow really really clear and fluent accent you have..Many Brits' accent is a little bit tough to hear sometimes for me..but yours is really great that even i can understand you.. so sophisticated 💕
You are an amazing teacher, Elliott! I just finished listening to your podcast about England and I loved your honest description---and, of course, your accent! ❤
What I don’t see anyone explaining is the fact that English, no matter the accent, is spoken through somewhat of a smile, which makes it sound a little softer. A lady from UK explained it to me, when I asked how I can fix my pronunciation (I am Russian). It actually helped a lot. But regardless, Elliot, I am very thankful for your lessons on UA-cam, they help a lot, even though it’s still a ton of work. But what isn’t?
Thank you for teaching. I am very happy with watching your vids. I am from Thailand and my English is not well. I love British English because of special pronounciations, words and sounds.
Damn, I used to watch your videos when I was living in London around 2016... now I’m back to Brazil and I just wanna say thanks for all your lessons...you helped me a lot during those days and still... cheers mate , obrigado professor
After scrapping and rowing, some snogging would be chuffing. But sometimes, if there is no fluke, it turns into being naffing. Eventually, better to have a cuppa ! 😜 Stay safe 🇮🇹🍀🇬🇧
It seems many friends remember 'Bloody Hell' from Ron in Harry Potter. Elliott is the best pronunciation teacher in my view. Harry Potter inspired me of learning British accent. Not only my listening is better, but also speaking. I then follow Elliott's teaching from that.

"don't get your knickers in a twist" ... meaning don't worry about it, don't stress about it

You do have to be careful with 'chuffing' if you're in some parts of England though, because it's a swear (curse) word as well.
That's brilliant!
