- Take a ride on one of the most popular rides at the Walt Disney World resort, Toy Story Midway Mania at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
In this video we'll visit the queue and the ride. The ride is in 3D, which you'll notice from the video screens, and this ride was very hard to film while trying to shoot the targets.
I've had tons of requests to film this ride.

Yes but did you hear that they are opening up a third ride lane!! Hopefully this will cut wait times down significantly!
I don't care how old you are, this ride is awesome. First off let me say this ride's decoration is awesome! Seriously you just stepped into Andys bedroom. The object of this ride is so cool your shooting at a target timed and your moving and stuff. There's a lot that goes on but its so cool!

I have a love/hate relationship with this ride. I love it because it's a fun and enjoyable ride. I hate it because it takes like fucking 2 hours to get on.

I started a clap to the Mr. Potato Head song and I kid you not almost everyone in the queue line clapped along it was the greatest moment of my life.

Thank you for posting this video. I was at Hollywood Studios at Disney World just last week. I didn't go on this ride because it was posted, outside, that the wait time was 85 minute. Now I can see what I've missed. I see I didn't miss much.
Haha I dunno about you, but that was one of the best rides during my trip! I got a park hopper, and my top 3 rides were Indiana Jones, Toy Story Midway Mania, and Space Mountain. This video doesn't do it justice. You wear 3D glasses on this ride, and pull on a string like those old pop guns. And you try to get as much points as you can. The graphics were really good! You missed out!
Wonderful. Playing Toy Story Mania on the Wii just isn't the same as being in Hollywood Studios!!!

Douglas Roth He was probably using a go pro. You're allowed to take those on a ride because they're very small. They can't do any harm.

A good idea for this one is get there when the park opens and run for it, or get a fast pass! The line is long no matter when you go. I think it might be because Hollywood Studios had rides like Rock n Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror that smaller kids may not want to ride, but this is one for all ages to love! Definitely an awesome ride!
I'm glad we got fast passes for my trip next month cause last year I waited in that line for a hour and a half I was not happy but I did take lots o pics I guess that was the plus side lol

I went today and we got a 60 minute wait but I can say it's totally awesome and worth the wait
Did this ride many times. In 2010, my group finished, and the ride broke down. Guess what we got, FREE FASTPASSES for anytime we wanted. We were like, "Yes."
I really wondered what all the buzz (no pun intended) was all about, but I think I would love this! I didn't know it was 3D. I have to say though, the queue seemed like the basement of a church that was decorated with Toy Story stuff. Maybe it's better in person :-/

My most recent visit was this past May and it was the first time I got to ride this ride. Honestly, it's worth the wait. It's a really great ride, but you better have a fast pass or get there right when the park opens!
I miss this ride, as it’s just such an addictive ride.
I still prefer the Boardwalk theming of the Toy Story Mania in DCA. It's much more subdued.

The queue of line seems better. The one at Disneyland is not a world of toys. It's just like a normal ride queue.
Let me tell you this, the queue changed at Disneyland DCA right now. The only difference that it has a cover now because they're turning California Screaming into the Incredi-Coaster. It won't last long though.

TIP FOR FIRST TIMERS: The line ride for this line gets CRAZY I would recommend either being the first people there or getting a fast past ASAP The wait time time in the regular line can go up to 90 mins and the fast pass line can go to 30 mins

I'm not trying to be a debbie-downer or anything, but why is this ride SO popular? It doesn't seem to be as much fun as some of the other rides to me. I heard it was the most popular ride out of all the rides in all the Disney parks, though... (?)
Wouldn't say it's the most popular ride out of all the Disney parks. It's more like one of those rides that keeps you coming back for more, for in this case, it's to try and get higher scores and get bragging rights and stuff.
I've always wondered that too! Call me crazy, but I actually prefer the Buzz Lightyear ride over this one. :/ That being said, I'm not a giant 3D person, so that might be it.

***** Toy Story is one of the most popular things Pixar has ever done. Considering Disney's target audience is children, lots of children like Toy Story. Lots of adults and teenagers like it too. And this is one of the only rides in all of Walt Disney World where you can see it in 3D and play the games with it too. It's a 3D video game ride and that's very cool for a lot of people.

We've been to 3 different Disney parks and missed it each time. My mum was super bummed but the lines were just too crazy when we were there.
Even tho both Disneyworld and Disneyland are very disney themed, I think Disneyworld does a better job. I still like both very much

Yes World is better, but keep in mind Disneyland has a very small space

This was a great addition to the park, although for being a park about movies, they definitely need to add at least one more dark ride. And I know people will say the Great big movie ride, I really don't consider that a dark ride that much.

Line was so long for this one that I didn't want to ride it. Is it so good? It doesn't seem better than Hollywood Tower that is super fun!
that so long part is not true. the queue for the ride moves incredibly fast. and if it says a specific time, then it's most likely half of that number. plus, the time isn't correct. it is actually estimated by how long it looks, and not how long it takes to dispatch. next time you go, check out the ride
They lie about the wait time and when it's not a long wait they slow down the ride and take out some of the carts on the rollercoasters
Rather spend $20 than almost over a hundred for the wii game and play it at home!
One night I went to go to this ride. It was a 120 minute wait and there was this handicapped old couple who got hungry while in line. They pulled out a pack of cheese slices which smelled like cheesy vomit from being in their mobility scooters all day. And that's when i left the line.
Usually there is a 120 min wait, but the cheese thing sounds terrible.

What was your official wait time for this? I know the line goes pretty fast, in my opinion. When I rode it, it said 60 minutes, but I was on and off the ride within 30. Thanks for filming this! It's such a great ride!
Did they move this to Toy Story Land?
When we went when i was 7 and i really had to go poop. And the rode was currently under technical difficulties, 2 seconds later "The toys are now up and ready". I was freaking out because since it had technical difficulties it could hurt me or something btw this was my first time going to Hollywood Studios. So i rode with my dad, the whole time i was farting. At the end of the ride i admitted to me dad i was farting like every 3 seconds and he made me go to the bathroom xD

+amanda a lot. Toy Story is 3D ride w screens and Buzz uses targets and physical sets (no video screens). Both are fun but I find Toy Story Midway Mania to be more fun

U had 2 wait 96 minutes when we went and when we came back it was 76 minutes

Will it be really crowded at disney in June I really want to go on this ride how early should I go to this park
june is the start of season for disney so there is a high chance of the park being crowded i highly recommend heading here right when the park opens to either ride or get a fastpass... have fun!!

From my experience you get there early and do the rides you really want to do first. Or you can do the Fast pass.

My mom and I are going to Disney and not really into roller coasters so we got a fast pass for this and two shows since hws just mostly has Roller coasters

I would wait save up some money and get fast passes disney is so much more fun with them so I was was going to go in September but my mom said if we wait till summer we will eat at the really good restaurants and get fast passes and stay at the Disney art of animation
