CORRECTION: Sorry hadn't realised there were some old rules on the slide for Canis Rex - the 0CP stratagem is mainly going to be useful for CP re-rolls for him given it's locked to battle tactics. The audio should be correct, I just skimmed over it a bit.

I'm still disappointed that the Tyranids Norn kit was so small. Should have been the first plastic Tyranid Titan.

there are even multiple different ones in the lore, would love to get the Viragon (looks like a titanic Trygon and can burrow)
but would also love to get some of the other big bugs that are not quite titan size like the Cerebore (big transport bug) as we don't have something like a troop carrier like other factions got.
The Norn? Huh. I saw the Neurotyrant in the trailer, looked at the Nids range and thought that since there were zoanthropes, neurothropes and Maleceptors already this thing was going to be a psychic lord of war. I still think that would have been cooler.

I seriously debated, and kinda still am debating, getting a Knight for my dreadnought list. I called it “Big Dreadnoughts, Bigger Dreadnought”.
3 Redemptors, 2 Ballistus, 1 Brutalis, and then a Knight. I just couldn’t/can’t figure out which one to get.

Hey Auspex, for a 0 cost strategem you can only use battletactic strategems, so rotate ion shields, tank shock and overwatch are out for Canis Rex.
not like canis could do overwatch anyways being titanic...

@@auspextactics also, listed Valiant's Conflagration Cannon as a solid "overwatch" threat... :( Maybe one day that will be true again.
Wraithknight is a perfect example of needing wepons to have a points cost or at least a second profile at lower cost. The unit cost is so high you can't justify any loadouts other than wraithcannons but it's that cost because of them.
Having all wargear included in the unit's cost was a very silly decision. Things which have more of an effect on the game are fine being more expensive - Death Company with power fists are going to do more than with chainswords for example, yet cost the same. Silly idea.
100% true, its crazy how far Baneblade is much stronger than Wraithknight and cost less.

It's clear GW wants Cks to have the better armigers while IKs have the better Questoris. While Chaos Questoris should have a place in a list if wanted it's not really right to compare Renegade Questoris knights to Loyalist ones in terms of balance.

@@iosdrake3458 How is it not right to compare two factions that have almost the same units? Those two should be the easiest factions to compare. Also it sucks ass to spend 150+ dollars on models that suck on the table top.
God I love the big kits, not plastic but I really want an astreus and mastodon, some of my favorite looking models.
Baneblade flamers have 0 overwatch potential as a correction, not because they shouldn't but because it's titanic and you can't overwatch with them.
If these were made by Bandai Japan who makes 1/144-1/60 Gunpla kits. The price would be lower, better fittings and some starter ones made with different colour plastic sprues.
Considering they wouldn't even need to make the parts color correct, it will probably be a lot less pricey
Looking at what Bandai can do with HG and MG nowadays, making the kit color accurate wouldn't even be that hard either. And it will probably still a lot less expensive
Different colors for the sprue are not that important in war hammer. There are too many sub factions inside a singular army, each one with its own heraldry and a lot of players (me included) like to use their own custom color scheme. Grey plastic is the best color for sprues.
@@Astronometric The multicolour would be for beginners to get into the hobby. Still able to be painted like every miniature, eg an ultramarine with a blue sprue and some different colours. Also Gundam markers would be an easy choice for panel lines and detail fillers.

I found a minor oversight at about 9 minutes, in the segment about the Baneblade. There is a text saying that the many heavy flamer sponsons is a good overwatch threat.
But, as you correctly referred to later while talking about Knights, Titanic units cannot be targeted by the Fire Overwatch stratagem.
The Baneblade kit is awesome, and since they're most of the variants in one box now you've got a great set of options. And yet the coolest one is still a resin hybrid kit: the Stormblade. Never understood why. Second coolest is the Shadowsword: I don't think there's a cooler name for a main gun than Volcano Cannon.
A Titanic Video like this deserves a Titanic love/like to Auspex.

Why not make a video about the HH and Legends units? The vast majority of players don't play tournaments and probably enjoy fielding these units.

It's hillarious the gorka/morkanaut is the same price as stompa but beeing only 1/3 the size
KNight Castigator's Bondsman ability also grants an extra AP point for an Armiger, which is pretty nice!

It isn't (quite) a 40K vehicle, but I do so want a plastic Fellblade/Glaive kit.

To be noted with the baneblade if your running a lot of guardsman there’s a chance to block it from being deployed
The gorkanaut served me very well in my index era. Its peak funny moment was bulldozing a redemptor and the lion before keeping a 10 man stack of deathwing tied up for 2 turns
Of all the space marines units we have we don’t have a titanic model. I hope in the future they upscale the land raider, not necessarily to true scale but at least a scale where it doesn’t look off next to primaris. Maybe that could be our titanic unit.

Only one of these I’ve played against in a competitive setting was the Wraith Knight, and my opponent completely wiffed on the damage rolls. As soon as it was out in the open I was very easily able to dispatch it given it had no invuln

Mentioned the Baneblade can overwatch with its flamers, bit IFIRC it cannot as it is a Titanic model
What Tyranids wanted:
A titan-sized heavy that can shrug off lascannons and just tears landraiders in two with a single combat phase
What Tyranids got:
A new model shorter than a mawlock, who struggles to fight a dreadnaught, with the choice between zero offense or zero defense, and whose only use is sitting on one objective all game like a mother hen hatching her eggs.
i know flyers are not a thing in 10th ed but we use them in our titan battles and would love a round-up of where they all stack against each other in 10th (including the forgeworld ones)

Can someone help me out with a rules question?
At the start of the game if an Ork player goes first and they have Gretchin on their home objective, would they roll for Cp Generation? "At the start of your Command phase, roll one D6 for each objective marker you control." The key words being at the start of your Command phase and objective marker you control. My understanding was all objectives start the game as contested and objective control is checked at end of phase. So you would not control your objective until the end of the command phase therefore not roll.

Thievin’ Scavengers: At the start of your Command phase, roll one D6 for each objective marker you control that has one or more units from your army with this ability within range of it. If one or more of those rolls is a 4+, you gain 1CP.

I love every giant model, its so sad adeptus titanicus can only play 1 model in a normal game.
Honestly, every faction should have more titanic plastic kits than there are. Problem is GW only judges their FW kit's value based on how well it sells, but given the reputation and shoddy quality GW resin is delivered to people, well the story tells itself...

Currently have for my Iron warriors a Knight Despoiler and a Baneblade (both in iron warriors colours. Baneblade has a Iron warrior tank commander)

Boggles my mind they didn't lower the split fire penalty for the Tau faction rule. Never needed to be tripple penalized for split firing. Even without the - 1BS split firing comes with a lot of downsides already.
Singlehandedly screws the Stormsurge more so than other T'au models.
Reminder : no Overwatch on titanics
i own a stormsurge myself.. but honestly don't use it, not great compared to having 3 hammerheads/skyrays for under the cost of 1.
mainly for more units to observe, go different routes and objectives over just using 1.
even vsing someone with a titan unit, i actually ignore it completely and focus on the rest of the army and then by turn 3-5 im winning by primaries and secondaries..
its pretty easy to counter them unless your vsing a knights player, then its just focus fire on one per turn for basically same effect as above.
personally titans aren't much of a threat 😂
The problem I have with the Stormsurge is that you want to split fire with your main and secondary weapons., but the faction rule very much discourages splitting fire. Like you aren't going to shoot your massive AP -14 Railgun against the same target as your AP 0 missiles.

I do find it strange how the Stompa made it to plastic and yet the Hierophant Bio-titan never did given that their profiles and size are pretty comparable. Will be very disappointed if that model goes to legends.

And again, every other one has, imho, better stats then the stompa, but cost almost half the price. Ridiculous.
Am i the only one who feels titanic CKs and maybe IKs need some sort of feel no pain to make them balanced. feels like huge points cost for good guns that are easy to focus down in a single turn.

I have how anything good the Space Marines with regards to the heavier stuff has been relegated to legends.. Astreus is garbage and Thunderhawk is useless in any sies game.. Space Marines need something like Leviathan and Falchion in their official list..
Sad that they all suck because the Eldar had one that was broken.
The Monolith is fantastic (and very annoying), the Questoris Knights are alright, the Baneblade is solid and really only has the weakness of terrain blocking, and the Stormsurge is bad because of split fire penalties. None of the big units are bad because the Wraithknight was gamebreaking, they all have issues of their own that prevent them from being competitive staples. They're still FUN to play with though, and certainly viable at a casual level.
They've kind of always sucked.
@im_flat I play the stormsurge casually and just ignore the splitfire penalty, seems obvious to me that it getting penalized there is down to an oversight or incompetence rather than good intentional design. Still sucks though, I'd much rather take 3 sky rays and save 10 points.
@@tyr7876 I'm of the opinion superheavies will almost always be DECENT casually barring them having egregiously terrible rules or points costs because sometimes it's just hard for an opponent's list to chew through such a tough vehicle and the mindset that goes with friendly casual games makes people less likely to confront superheavies in the best method at their disposal

I'd love a plastic Space Marine super-heavy, it's honestly wierd how that's a blind spot for GW. A plastic Astraeus wouldn't be for me though, I don't think it really fits the range's aesthetic.
