This is legitimately how my dad’s legs look. He’s played WOW every day since it came out. Never walked and lived off ciggies and coffee and gamed all day since retirement. Recently the clots were so bad that one of his legs swelled until it split open. Then they had to do surgery where they peeled open his leg from groin to ankle and sorted out the clots. Now he has to do it all again for leg two.
Please folks. At least do a lap around the block.
Update: apparently he’s shifted to Warframe now.
(Should add that this isn’t me saying that this is what the guy in the video has. Just bringing up the similarities in appearance and reminders to go for a walk before your legs look like this).

    Edited for spelling and details
Ohhh my gosh, so I actually have HSP! Untreated it can be so so rough and difficult, and it getting out of control can cause kidney and intestinal issues.
So while I am a gamer, this came out of NOWHERE when it manifested and I worked a job where I was on my feet a decent amount. It started out looking like I had little red spots but no bumps and no itching. It didn't go away so I went to the hospital, cuz I'd never seen anything like it. They told me I had a staph infection, prescribed an antibiotic and sent me home.
I went BACK to the hospital a couple of different times, because it STILL wasn't going away.
And THEN I suddenly went rapidly from little red dots to swollen legs, painful purple splotches, hives that burst open into several lesions on my legs, AND a deep black ulcer spot on my right foot that was EXCEPTIONALLY painful. Needless to say, I FREAKED out and called the dermatologist because the hospital hadn't been able to figure it out.
When I went to the dermatologist, he took one look at my legs, left the room, and came back with a medical textbook where he could show me and they diagnosed me with Henoch Schonlein Purpura (HSP)!
The Dr described it ultimately as an autoimmune disorder. The black ulcer was caught very shortly before it could become a major problem and thankfully it was still fixable.
Getting it fully under control took 3 months of high dosage steroid, and in that time I also ended up with a secondary infection. My legs were bandaged for months, I had to change out dressings regularly and use a steroid cream and antibiotic cream, as well as oral antibiotics, to get everything managed. They had to try a few different antibiotics because the infection wasn't responding, and then do a swab to find the right one. That swab was THE most pain I have ever experienced and I've had a tooth removed with no numbing.
I can tell you that there were legitimately times that the pain and throbbing were absolute AGONY and it ultimately left me with some major scarring on my feet and legs as well as severe nerve damage in one ankle.
It was pretty traumatic, as well, and small flare up on my legs and hands can cause a full blown panic response because those months were AWFUL.
HSP is honestly scary to deal with and very painful, and before it was outright mentioned in the video, I was wondering if that was what was going on, because it IMMEDIATELY reminded me of my experience. It can be recurring once you've experienced it, but more often than not the first outbreak is the worst.

Naturally doctors thought I had a sleep problem and treated it as such for 15 years. Then a sleep specialist figured it out after 5 minutes of conversation with me. Turns out I have Narcolepsy, a waking-up problem, not a sleep problem. I never felt refreshed after sleep because I never truly woke up. Now I take a stimulant every day and feel somewhat normal. After 6-7 weeks it went away by its own accord and I made a full recovery, including my kidneys.

Our legs are further from our hearts and therefore get less blood flow or we have to work a bit to get that flow going properly which is why walking and activity is so important. I have to guess some necrosis is occurring or working it's way to it. Necrosis is dead tissue which is secondary to long term lack of blood supply to the effected organs. being someone who suffered this ultra rare disease I can tell you its the worst experience of my life. broken bones and being almost dead from covid didnt compare to the suffering hsp caused me. the internal hemmoraging was painful, it destroyed my kidneys, my feet and legs were covered in sores that busted upen and caused excruciating pain to even slightly move. your feet and legs swell up to 2 times their normal size if your legs are not above your body, the scars never go away and anyone that sees them either thinks your legs were washed in acid or you have some horrible contagious disease.

I have a simlar skin conditon known as Hydradenitis Superitiva, or Acne inversa.
essentially its a hardcore version of regualr acne that forms anywhere hair grows and swet glands are present.
it causes painful solid lumps to form, they leak ooze and grow and well if you touch/rub/friciton and otherwise irritate the areas - problem is, they tend to happn under your arsm, under your butt, etc.
theyre super painful to have, super painul to remove, an there's no cure, no treatment, and it just gets worse as you get older.
PPl assume its a hygenie thing, a wight thing, a laziness thing - but it has nothign to do with it. its just a weird genetic payload

Whenever you see a picture of anyone's extremity getting that bad, and you don't know what the person looks like. You can assume that their face looks very tired, unamused, getting by life. Tired eyes, fat round faces, and grayish skin, are common attributes
