He immersed himself in work and I wanted to be dust and blow away. But we had a 12 year old son that needed his mom. It’s been 22 years, and I have had a struggle all the way. But the times that helped us lighten our hearts most was to watch you Madea movies. My husband, son and I would all hug up on the couch and watch you be Madea and laugh and laugh sometimes until our stomachs hurt. Madea helped us all so much to get through the worst lose of our life. When I see your name, I know I have to see it, listen to it and now read it. Thank you Mr. Perry for all you, and Madea gave us. Being in your presence at all your plays at the Fox theater, your messages are real, and know they’re heartfelt for the ones that walk in FAITH! When I see the goodness in you I can’t help but to press on. Someone once asked me, how do you do it raising 7 grandchildren and you’re not even 60? I always say God and long nights watching Tyler Perry! Your messages always resonate strength, forgiveness, and doing what needs to be done! I laugh, cry and then pray! You truly don’t know what you have meant , receiving calls my daughter just had another child and the child would be in foster care unless I came down to get custody! I would think about this play you did where you talk about people getting children just for their checks, and not doing the right thing. I pray, I cry and then put my big girl pants on, get my babies and we make it happen. If this is Tyler keep doing what you do! A songwriter once wrote if I can help somebody as I pass along, then my living would not have been in vain. Tyler, your living has not been vain! I love you!
@TylerEPerryJr Lol, since your 1st play. I even had a ticket at a play they canceled when you 1st started, I think it was called I know I’ve been changed, can’t remember but it was the early 90’s. I think it was at the Tabernacle or playhouse can’t remember! But really became a true fan after Madea’s Family reunion and never missed another play, my family and I were always present. Always attended Sundays after church heading to see you! Now you have a sermon in this podcast when you said, look back over your life and tell me how many times GOD has let you down! Man!!!! I ran around the house! And then posted it on Facebook! Not to give a sad story but I’ve faced foreclosure lost cars and struggles raising my babies! And the same people that asks how do you do it, never offer assistance! But GOD!!! He has never failed me! We have NEVER gone a night without food or shelter. They have not missed a beat I often tell them you may not have what others have but be grateful for what you have! You truly have an Old soul, as the Elders often say! Just know my wish is God continue to elevate you more and more! Because as he elevates you your messages are stronger than EVER! Just as it is written in Gods word continue to read it, you’ll always get a different message, and that’s how it is with you!!

Amazing episode! The thing that Tyler Perry discussed that I resonated with was him taking about elevating while family and friends fall out of your life because they can’t go where God is taking you. God has me going through that now, and it’s hard and lonely but I know that it has to happen.

I love this segment! Being a young grandmother raising 7 grandchildren, Tyler has gotten me through many nights!!! The messages he has passed on in his plays, movies and speaking really helps me get through the tough times!!!

Being in your presence at all your plays at the Fox theater, your messages are real, and know they’re heartfelt for the ones that walk in FAITH! When I see the goodness in you I can’t help but to press on. Someone once asked me, how do you do it raising 7 grandchildren and you’re not even 60? I always say God and long nights watching Tyler Perry! Your messages always resonate strength, forgiveness, and doing what needs to be done! I laugh, cry and then pray! You truly don’t know what you have meant , receiving calls my daughter just had another child and the child would be in foster care unless I came down to get custody! I would think about this play you did where you talk about people getting children just for their checks, and not doing the right thing. I pray, I cry and then put my big girl pants on, get my babies and we make it happen. If this is Tyler keep doing what you do! A songwriter once wrote if I can help somebody as I pass along, then my living would not have been in vain. Tyler, your living has not been vain! I love you!
@TylerEPerryJr Lol, since your 1st play. I even had a ticket at a play they canceled when you 1st started, I think it was called I know I’ve been changed, can’t remember but it was the early 90’s. I think it was at the Tabernacle or playhouse can’t remember! But really became a true fan after Madea’s Family reunion and never missed another play, my family and I were always present. Always attended Sundays after church heading to see you! Now you have a sermon in this podcast when you said, look back over your life and tell me how many times GOD has let you down! Man!!!! I ran around the house! And then posted it on Facebook! Not to give a sad story but I’ve faced foreclosure lost cars and struggles raising my babies! And the same people that asks how do you do it, never offer assistance! But GOD!!! He has never failed me! We have NEVER gone a night without food or shelter. They have not missed a beat I often tell them you may not have what others have but be grateful for what you have! You truly have an Old soul, as the Elders often say! Just know my wish is God continue to elevate you more and more! Because as he elevates you your messages are stronger than EVER! Just as it is written in Gods word continue to read it, you’ll always get a different message, and that’s how it is with you!!

I came to watch the interview because social media is playing a snippet of Tyler's words about relationship dynamics, and I wanted to see exactly how the conversation went. I guess it was meant for me to watch because every part of this interview hit my soul. When the letter was read at the end, it felt as if my thoughts had been exposed, and I started BALLING. @@samsungbackup3619 I haven’t published anything, i’ve only written about him when given prompts about individuals that inspire me… he’s ALWAYS the first that comes to mind… just how bold he is in his faith and how he never gave up on what God let him picture! he’s just my personal fav example of being a believer. believer of God and dreams given by God. i never saw that type of representation growing up UNLESS i was watching his plays when he shares his testimony at the end! i really believe i can do anything, because i see what God did for him… i know he’ll do it for me, if i help him help me!!
