I've been to several fish shows and I remember the first time my friend and you pray told me about this band back in the nineties they were blowing up and out of this world. It was fish and I went from there. Not a lot of ants since Pink Floyd have actually touched me in the way they have and I will truly cherish every single freaking moment they have touched by life!
ARGUABLY ONE OF THE BEST SONGS I HAVE HAD THE PLEASURE TO LISTEN TOO. It was one of me and my late wife’s songs we would listen to all the time. Love this !!!!!

My favorite Phish song to jam to -- in part because it's so damn easy. I know that sounds lame, and yes there are plenty of songs with more difficult leads, scales and combinations that I love to tackle. But with this four-chord beauty I can close my eyes and let my fingers go up and down the fret board effortlessly -- like so many G D Em C songs, it's really hard to hit a bad note with this song, even with the Bm C break thrown in (chords that are nearly as easy to jam to.) And with the tempo they play it in, not to mention the serene feel of the song itself,any lead you put on it just soars. Yummy.

But THIS one, I've listened to this performance many hundreds of times, and there is something exquisite and exceptional about what happens here. Trey is tapped into something deep and pure.
I have a hard time listening to any other live version than this one. This always hits me hard and soft at the same time. I danced to this song at my wedding reception. Much to the bitter chagrain of the entertainer. He flippin disappeared during this song for too long. My marriage didn't last beyond nine years. Six years later, I'm back with my ex and engaged again. There never was someone who fit my life and this song like her. Still does. I sung it to her then, I'll sing it as long as I live. This is the pinnacle of the magic of Phish. The piano of Page plays perfectly off Trey's beautiful playing. Epic at the least. God-like at an extreme case.
In terms of emotion and what it meant and placement, that is true. And yes, I would not fully know cause I wasn't there unfortunately. Just speaking in terms of all the jams of this song, including Cypress, and this one tops it.
