- A short demonstration of what Patch Touch for Dave Smith Mopho (previous called Mopho Touch) can do, including random patch generation! More info on the app here: coffeeshopped.com/mopho-touch
Edit sounds on your Dave Smith Mopho in real time. It generates random patches as well, which can serve as good starting points for new sounds.
great!
Wow - that is interesting...
Hi again, im just curious, im getting a dsi tetra which is basically the mopho xs 4 so do you think that this app might work with a tetra ? i dont really want to buy the soundtower ipad tetra editor because i bought the ipad evolver version and it wouldnt save patches at all which i thought really sucked for a $30 app to be glitchy and not even work with a main function like saving patch edits.
Hi! The two synths are very similar, but no this app won't work with your Tetra. However I have a newer app called Patch Base that supports multiple synths, and Tetra is on the list of synths that o plan to eventually add support for. I recommend subscribing to the Coffeeshopped newsletter and I'll let you know when Tetra support is available! See here: coffeeshopped.com/newsletter
what kind of midi do you need for your ipad ? I have a 30 pins Ipad.
Something like iRig midi with in/out/thru or just USB to put a controller the Ipad? we don't see the connection on your video
thank you
Yes, any MIDI adapter that you can get connected to your iPad should do the trick, as long as it supports sysex. You can also make the connection via Wireless MIDI and a connected computer. I outline that setup here, if you're interested: coffeeshopped.com/2015/05/using-wireless-midi-to-connect-your-ipad-or-iphone-to-your-computer-and-hardware-synths
I do I know for sysex?
Just about any name brand interface should work. The no-name cheap ones sometimes do not work.
i have the evolver version of this app but so far im not that into it and almost never use, ot looks like this mopho one is designed better , nice!
Thanks! The Evolver app is made by someone else actually. But I might make one myself eventually.
+Coffeeshopped OH Wow ! COOL good job dude ! i didnt realize at first this is your app, Awesome work man Your good ! the company that made that evolver version of this app charged me nearly $ 30 for their app that only have works, the real time manipulation is fun on it but the saving and load never work correctly from my experieces so far and absolutely no manual whatsoever. your app looks great thats why i was so confused. this video alone is seriously furthering my consideration of getting a mopho! this app would be great for edits especially for someone who doesnt have a computer like me. Is your app available for purchase now ? if so where ? i was condidering buying a mopho or a mutable instruments shruthi build kit, but your app is leaning me toward mopho now. are you planning on an evolver version as well? that would be awesome but i know app making like that is probably a lot of work. thanks for responding, great work dude !
+cheifmouthnoshut i found it on the app store, you know it doesnt show up with a search of patch touch or mopho, you have to search the whole name which might limit views from potential buyers, just a thought.
+cheifmouthnoshut Sounds like you found it, yeah the app is available on the App Store. It's hard to know what goes into what turns up in search results! I might make an Evolver version, but I'm not sure. At the moment I'm working on a new editor app that will support a growing number of synths. A sneak peek tweet is here :) twitter.com/coffeeshopped/status/674751236860542978
+Coffeeshopped nice, do you think your new app will work with a desktop evolver?
Hi! I want to know... I can't make a sequnce without a computer? And if i can, how to control a built-in sequencer?
Роман Силантьев if you're talking about controlling the Mopho's internal sequencer, this app can do that. It's on an extra screen in the app that isn't shown in this video.
