Well, make no mistake, the first part is true. Art is primarily an emotional endeavor, thing is there are semantic (meaningful) and non-semantic forms of art. Music is pure emotion, while literature is both semantics and emotion, on the other hand paintings have a encoded meaning that comes from outside.

Music is based purely on their ability to move the audience. It does not have any message. Vivaldi (?) Wrote the four seasons with the sole purpose of communication THE EMOTION of, let's say, spring. It really does sound like birds chirping early in the morning on a SPRING day, isn't it? But there's no story, no message, just emotion.
Literature is self explanatory. But regarding painting, the meaning is not given, it is mostly taken, it is encoded. Painting, we're talking classic stuff, is symbolic. Virgin Mary for example, is painted using blue attires which makes no sense given that she was poor and blue tint was so expensive it was reserved for royalty, implying a certain status by doing so. Now take that into consideration and it does make sense. Painting isn't just taking a picture with your eyes and using colors on a canvas, it's symbolism.
That's why I said emotion is the only common denominator between all art forms. Some are semantic, some aren't. Mauler is a master of the craft of screenwriting mostly (semiotics, semantics, linguistics, etc). Mastering the craft is the BARE MINIMUM for a professional, so I understand why he's so pissed off at times. mastering the craft varies from one artform to another because it means mastering different skills, however, semantics is not the gold standard for all art forms, the ability to move the audience is.
Im willing to hear dissenting opinions. You might know something that I don't and Id appreciate it.

Confession bear post: When I first encountered with a Mauler video I was impressed. So naturally I checked out his channel and came across a GDELB video. Knowing nothing about it I played it as a podcast while working. He sounded so convincing it took me like 15 minutes before I first pause, rewind, listen it again - now actually paying attention - to realize it's a joke.

It’s crazy how much this video resonates with me. It’s like if I was browsing videos and discovered that my sense of humor became sentient and created its own UA-cam channel. It’s a weird blend of chaos and deadpan and you can’t tell where the irony begins or ends. If I’m being honest I absolutely loved it. 6/10. The sound design was loathsome.

At first I was confused because normally Mauler's titles are a lot more succinct. Then I remembered what day it is...
I do not know if the inclusion of ads every 5 minutes or so is an intentional joke or just youtube being youtube, but if it was intentional you have somehow elevated these parodies to the next level.
The conversation you had with "Dr." OoganS-ou Chafvlaegh was objectively the best part. This is why people shouldn't speak to each other on the internet. This is the first video from MauLer that I have down-voted. It is clear that he has lost his marbles, abandoned the long, and is making mindless broth, full of fan service that makes zero sense. And yet everyone laps it up and cheers as they recognise another meaningless reference, literally shoved in there to distract you from the argument that is built like a nuclear power station on a frozen lake, or a flamethrower made out of cheese.
To Mr MauLer, it is with great pain that I say this: I like some art. I also dislike some art. Bad art is still art. And this edition of GDELB reminds me of Karl Marx, who famously said, "You must not be afraid to disagree with a Doggo. Especially a Doggo that you are afraid of. For he is not thy friend. There is always a line beyond which betrayal is a certainty."
I advise you consult The Don immediately. Who will remind you that censoring a spider of a cartoon superhero's costume cannot hide the truth about the future the spiders foretell.
