Not at all trying to steal your thunder here, today is the beginning of September. My three year anniversary of living between the same two trees in a tent by a river. I do not intend to have walls again for a long time to come, nature is a medicine for me. Be good

Hi Jojo, Good video and all very original ! I come on holiday for 7 years now in Sweden. I was looking for a house there. Last year a man told me that it is allowed to live on a raft on a lake. Is this really true ??
Yeah - that's a good law. Our city luckily set aside lots of lake side public spaces when it was founded (1890s) but the minute you get outside the city limits it's all rich houses. The Nordic laws protecting the right of people to walk on the land, camp, etc. are unique and a treasure.
It's one of my favourite books actually. It has many layers (or shall we say dimensions...?) to it and what I most like is that it doesn't take itself too serious but at the same time deals with important topics at that time. Also interesting to see when it was written. Haven't read "Warped Passages" yet, will add it to my reading list.
btw, there are people who are building tools to manipulate 4D objects in 3D space. This would be so cool to try in VR :O But there's also nice reference to Flatland: ua-cam.com/video/JpxZQxXxMWY/v-deo.html This vid gets very technical and in-depth on how the stuff is implemented after the beginning.
The Coastal Protection Law is a bummer when an Island is not “round” but rather thin (like 2km*300m), one might not built anything on it - even in the exact middle where no coastline will be inaccessible by the house.
That of course is then an unfortunate case. That's also the reason why in Sweden houses on the shore are way more expensive than others as existing houses of can be rebuilt or extended.
Maybe a bit of a late reply to you. But yes, in Sweden you're allowed to "live"(camp) on private property as long as you do not disturb, break and a few other things. You are even allowed to use a private swimming area as long as you do not disturb the owners. In general you should not be in people's living area or within hearing/viewing distance from where they live. Basically, if you use common sense and have some proper respect, you'll not be bothered. You are NOT allowed to cut down any trees. (a branch for making a stick to put your hotdog/marsmellow might be the exception) Common sense.

Greetings back! I guess there might be some other nice spots to live in a tent on the coast in Australia though! Might also be a bit warmer ... :-)

Thanks - I'll do my best!

Is FLATLAND good? I am reading a book called "Warped Passages," which references FLATLAND. Love your channel!

I liked it a lot.
Honestly, I don't know of any books that had a similarly weird mix of topics. Weird, in a positive way. Hard to explain for me...

Can you really live on privately owned forests in sweden? I doubt that would be the case here in the US

It’s not legal to do anything here in the USA. We are the lucky ones.
Ahh there she is.......
