Weekly Build Request: So seeing this lovable super strong alien build makes me want to see a build for another loveable super strong alien, how about Ryoko from Tenchi Muyo?
Suggestion for future builds, a few Tenchi Muyo! builds, Tenchi Muyo! really hasn't gotten enough love stateside since the early 2000s, also that franchise (yes I said it's a franchise) has quite a few characters that might make for some interesting builds. For example, the MC of Tenchi Muyo! is Tenchi Masaki, and it might be fun to see Tulok translate his abilities into a character (I suggest you start with the OG version, the one from the Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-Oki timeline, because that is the original Tenchi timeline); Ryoko (everyone's favorite Space Pirate Waifu) could make for an interesting build, especially because of her connection to the aforementioned Ryo-Oki; I think Washu (the character proclaimed to be the greatest scientific mind in the universe, by multiple characters) seems to be the most straightforward build at first glance but she's likely going to be really hard, because of Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-Oki Season 3 spoiler stuff; Tenchi's grandfather might make for an amusing build; also Mihoshi might make for one of the most confusing builds, seeing as she appears to be a low mental build but is unreasonably good at most of the mental skill options (I wish I was making that up, she is canonically called a bubble brain but is somehow manages to gather information better than anyone has a right to do and it takes an entire council days to decipher and summarize her reports that have usually end up touching on classified information she probably most people aren't allowed near, and she's also a Detective First Class in the space police, but still manages to somehow be a ditz of the highest order who causes massive expense reports to be filled out by her superiors but still manages to be so unreasonably good at her job that her superiors worry about what will happen if she were to ever actually have her position changed). And on the villain side of things, the first real big bad of the Ryo-Oki continuity is this absolute showboat of a space pirate named Kagato, the guy has a massive spaceship that has a giant pipe organ taking a considerable portion of the bridge because he can, the guy can literally play his own villain music anytime he wants on the thing, and usually does, he's also a really good combatant, causing the first real issues for Tenchi as a combatant, he's also responsible for basically mind-controlling Ryoko to attack a world where his primary objective was prior to the events of the series, and just has the swagger of a villain that's been able to get away with what he has for ages, what I'm saying is that Kagato might make for one of the more interesting villain builds.
I will continuously push for a build based on District 9, but also you may want to consider a build based on Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. I know literary characters aren't your thing so maybe make it part of a League of Extraordinary Gentlemen series. Cheers ;P
Correct me if I am wrong but doesn't the Eldritch Adept have a prerequisite of pact magic or spell casting? So that means you couldn't be fighter level 1 with that feat if I am correct. Wont change the build too much but the starting class should be different.
Eldritch Adept allows you to select one Warlock invocation, but you cannot select an invocation that has *any* prerequisite, unless you *are a warlock who meets said prerequisite.* However, Mask of Many Faces *is* one of the few options that does not have any prerequisite, making it a valid choice, even for a character with no Warlock levels. Hope this helps.

I think Goofy would be a Cavalier Fighter. As for race... Custom Lineage seems likely but I also love the idea of a Khenra, a jackal headed creature with black fur, that shares a bond with their twin (or in this case, his son Max).
I guess Donald would probably be either a Evocation or a Graviturgy Wizard (since Tulok has said in previous videos that normal Wizards don't get gravity based spells from the Wildemount guide). As for race, probably either Custom Lineage or Kenku. I wanted to go with Aven but they have a flying speed and Donald only ever flies through magical means.
I thought you couldn't take Eldritch Adept on Custom Lineage because it specifically says that you either have to have Spellcasting or Pact Magic. You don't have either of those at character creation, and can't get them until you take your first level of a class.
Ah, I see you went for the more comic, swiss-army knife, power set of Martian Manhunter, very interesting, though for his more Martian appearance, you could probably go with Githzerai, as the base for custom lineage. Also means if adapting a similar background/story, you can have Githyanki stand in for the White Martians, or use Illithids as a stand in for the Imperium. Not sure how you could get Elditch Adept without spell casting, or pact magic, within the current rules, unless the DM agrees you can take it, but you can't use it until you reach level 2, not quite homebrew, but definitely bending the rules a little bit.
Kinda want to see a raizo from ninja assassin build I see it as rogue(assassin)5/monk(kensei)9/fighter(samurai)4/ranger 2, but I'm interested to see your interpretation Will be back tues day to request again
So, just briefly because you did ask why he's called "Manhunter" Basically there was an organization on Krypton (I think krypton) of mercenary aliens hired from other planets called "Manhunters", this order contains such prestigious names as Lobo. Eventually though the organization disbanded along with Krypton's destruction. The guardians also made their own manhunters but I'm a little blurry on my memory of those guys. Basically Martian Manhunter was one of those guys until nearing Krypton's destruction Jor-El asked him to go to earth to look over his son. That origin though I think has been changed a million times since in some versions Martian Manhunter is stuck on earth after a teleportation accident, in some the martians were driven to extinction by the white martians, and in some it's a combination of both. Ultimately, the manhunter name probably just comes from the fact that most of what MM does is act as a detective hunting down criminals rather than a more traditional superhero battling great powers of evil.
Because they haven't given us the mystery cop show focused on Jon as a police detective. I love Jon in the JLU, but I went and found his original comic stories online and he is such a blast as a character when he's being this guy that ended up on Earth off his homeland and wants to do right by it, so he becomes this police detective and solves cases through his powers while being careful to not have people realize he's a Martian. So while he can easily find out some clues, he still has to be clever about it so that no one gets the wrong idea about him. Main thing I would have different would be that part of Jon's shapeshifting has to be used to compensate for the increased gravity of Earth on his body, meaning that his slow gain of powers other than telepathy and empathy is partially because he's having to figure out how to use them within the new gravity (things are heavier for him to lift telepathically for instance and he has to work at it like a muscle before he could lift much heavier than a bullet). Also, the fire weakness would be both an intense phobia and something that is because of how fire reacts to his physiology somehow.
Build request: Gizmo from Teen Titans (2003). A halfling or gnome on a steel defender in the shape of a 4-legged spider thing would be my recommendation, but spells would be where the fun comes in...
Huh. My prediction was kalishtar, for the alien-esque look, the telepathy, the resistance to mental attacks (wisdom throw proficiency) and then druid for the shape shifting. Paired with like... a wizard or something to get thingsike fly and etherealness. Cool build regardless.
I thought for sure Aberrant Mind Sorcerer for all the psychic stuff and their 14th level ability to fly/see Invis/go squishy or less dense. Fighter (Rune Knight) 6/Aberrant Mind Sorcerer 14 is a good approximation to me too.
The nifty thing about the Martian Manhunter's many powers is that unlike Superman, whose spread of powers is pretty consistent across different medias, most adaptations of J'onn 1) tend to drop any powers that don't fall under "shapeshifting" or "mind stuff" except for the flying brick package (I don't think I've ever seen a version of the character that has heat vision, for instance), and 2) tend to narrow the applications of one or both of those core powers: DCAU!J'onn does more with the shapeshifting but (iirc) keeps the psychic stuff pretty simple, while CWverse!J'onn gets creative with the psychic side but restricts the shapeshifting to just "looks like other humanoids" and phasing. So as long as you do at least *some* of both of those things, can fly, and can punch good, there's more freedom to customize and focus on particular aspects while still *feeling* like the Martian Manhunter than there is for other "buckets of powers" characters.
I may not be the biggest DC nerd, but I'm pretty sure MM doesn't have heat vision. Hmmm. Checked Wikipedia, and apparently he can shoot "Martian beams" out of his eyes, and sometimes that sets things on fire. Close enough I guess. Golden age heros are just whacky sometimes.
It’s one of the powers they kind of can’t decide if they want him to have or not, he has heat vision, but BARELY EVER uses it. I think it’s a way to differentiate him further from Superman tbh. J’onn may be OP As fuck, but I see no real reason to take any of his powers away, he’s perfect.
As useful as heat vision is against earth criminals, I can only imagine how much more useful it was when the Manhunter from Mars was actually catching Martian badguys.
Episode 312 of the Fire Emblem stats: J'onn J'onnz. Martian Manhunter has a lot of powers but not a lot in the way of actual weapons. He's good at brawling, flight, and both types of magic. He's bad at authority due to not being a people person and heavy armor due to his intangibility. His best stats are in magic and luck, but his resistance is not so great due to his well-documented phobia of fire.
Wait a minute, doesn't "eldritch adept" have a prerequisite of must have spell casting? Which because you didn't start with wizard you couldn't have at first level. Even if it is a racial feat
Martian Manhunter, eh? Hmmm... I'd go with a sort of Ikea paladin. Changeling Sorcerer/Fighter with Unarmed Fighting. Maybe even Aberrant Mind sorcerer to get the mental abilities J'onn possesses, paired with Battlemaster for his tactics.
I feel like the only thing I would've done different in this build is go Changeling, and take optional features to get a bump to intelligence and another stat

You do you and I appreciate what you do. I had no qualms when you explained what you didn’t choose, but s’all good if you wanna cutdown runtime.
Saw the title card and liked right away.
Now, this is a character I know. Might actually try it out too.
Fingers crossed for a Godzilla build soon
Kinda want to see a raizo from ninja assassin build
I see it as rogue(assassin)5/monk(kensei)9/fighter(samurai)4/ranger 2, but I'm interested to see your interpretation
Will be back tues day to request again
Hmm... I've got a suggestion or request to add to the polls, Boogiepop, the body possessing grim reaper meant to keep the world in order.
Great build. We haven't seen a War Mage in a while. But you know what we haven't seen yet? An SCP build. Where is that charming necromancer?
yeah I think the last one was Al, but I could be wrong
@@JaelynMcgee you mean 079?
@@imaginationave3687 Oh, I was talking about Alphonse Elric (Video 122). Which one was 079?
@@JaelynMcgee Scp-079 is an AI in a computer with 32 Ram of memory. Something tells me you thought of episodes, rather than SCP categorizing.
@@JaelynMcgee Also, Al is not a necromancer. Nor an SCP. Nor charming
Does this build also apply to Marvin from the looney tunes?
Geez, you covered... ALL his names. Even Rei Hino, the literal Sailor Moon reference
Woah, Martian man hunter is a pretty cool shape shifter! you know who else is a cool shape shifter?
Alex Mercer from [PROTOTYPE].
So, just briefly because you did ask why he's called "Manhunter"
Basically there was an organization on Krypton (I think krypton) of mercenary aliens hired from other planets called "Manhunters", this order contains such prestigious names as Lobo.
Fuck yes I’ve been asking for this for weeks thank you! Now I just need a Batman Beyond build. Or a video about how you go about making these videos
Whoo! Johnny Jones is finally here!
I just finished bingeing the justice league shows, too.
I don’t know if this is a good suggestion or not but Strife from darksiders would be cool
How to build the crow in dungeons and dragons. We need this, Tulok!
I would have gone Githzerai Great Old One Warlock, but this works.
Do Vash The Stampede from Trigun plz 💥
Manhunter is such an OP hero. I don't know how he doesn't have a bigger fanbase
I am building him now, he is my favorite super hero!
Build request: Gizmo from Teen Titans (2003). A halfling or gnome on a steel defender in the shape of a 4-legged spider thing would be my recommendation, but spells would be where the fun comes in...
Requests:
Shantae
Filia
Travis Touchdown
Hat Kid
The Chocos' reference... *chef kiss*
How many names does MM have? I think I heard 8 in this video.
How about Aberrant Mind Sorcerer that was my first instinct though it is a charisma class so I understand why you ignored it.
One small thing. A "Manhunter" is another word for "Bounty Hunter".
In DC, a "Martian Manhunter" is more like a US Marshall...but, martial.
random character idea, but how about Faust from Guilty Gear? he's a very weird character I'm unsure how to even start
Could you please make either a Guts build from Berserk, or a Heathcliff Build from Sword Art online
So, what would you do for Jesse Faden? I'm assuming high Dex and Cha, but which one would be the main focus?
Huh. My prediction was kalishtar, for the alien-esque look, the telepathy, the resistance to mental attacks (wisdom throw proficiency) and then druid for the shape shifting. Paired with like... a wizard or something to get thingsike fly and etherealness. Cool build regardless.
i feel like these videos are awesome and enjoy them alot but not enough to give them a like
I thought for sure Aberrant Mind Sorcerer for all the psychic stuff and their 14th level ability to fly/see Invis/go squishy or less dense.
Then they have him go all out sometimes in the comics and it’s fking awesome, like when he fought the entire justice league by himself
I feel like the Telepathy feat would be a good fit here.
Can we get a Dr. Fate build please?
Is there any way to give a player character weakness to a certain element, say, fire, in exchange for a buff of some kind?
If the dm is willing to make a genie trade of a weakness for a buff than its probably fine but no rules allow this by default.
I actually just built Martian Manhunter in D&D last week, ironically
How about Ratcatcher II? A Swarmkeeper Ranger seems like a good start.
@@bloodhexesillustration1977 it's kind of like Wonder Woman and the ability to fly
@@dragonheart1236 exactly, and how sometimes she’s bulletproof, and sometimes the brackets are VITAL to her survival in a gunfight
Can you do kaden from dota dragon blood
I can’t wait for the Dom Toretto build
Why not a changeling instead?
Marvin the Martian next. The best Martian
Can you do a kenshin himura build
Wait a minute, doesn't "eldritch adept" have a prerequisite of must have spell casting? Which because you didn't start with wizard you couldn't have at first level. Even if it is a racial feat
Honestly for the more “metamorph-y” feel, I would pick Plasmoid as my race. Just because of the shape changing ability.
I understand it’d probably be similar but can I ask of you Tulok to make a build for Danny Phantom?
I need to know how to build a killer frost
Martian Manhunter, eh? Hmmm... I'd go with a sort of Ikea paladin. Changeling Sorcerer/Fighter with Unarmed Fighting. Maybe even Aberrant Mind sorcerer to get the mental abilities J'onn possesses, paired with Battlemaster for his tactics.
I feel like the only thing I would've done different in this build is go Changeling, and take optional features to get a bump to intelligence and another stat
Ghost t-rex? Now that's impressive
Can you take eldrich adept withotuh being a spellcaser?
Yes! My fav superhero!
Thank you for the video.
Amazing! Can you do Bloodsport from The Suicide Squad?!
