  • Rent, mortgages, student loans...I'm no stranger to the ramen diet - Life can be a pain in the ass. Thrift stores have been the source of much I got the dress secondhand on eBay for $10.
    Cinema Strange Shirt: ebay.us/1Lyhxj
    Hat: amzn.to/2X9oUDS
    Songs: Requiem in White - Centuries
    Malaise: Wait for the Ghost

    I got the dress on eBay second hand for $10. They had it listed at $15 with a 'make offer' button. I made the offer for $10 and scored! It's 2 sizes larger than my size but when something isn't your size, too big is much easier to work with than too small.

    cool vid , can tell you've perfected diy over the years , think the coolest diy goth thing i had was when a someone made me a black muslin long sleeve t shirt , looks awesome when ripped and distressed , which it tends to do on its own once you start it off a bit, I know the noodle diet well haha back in the 90's in my squat punk days , also learnt a lot too from those days like diy , making patches cutting and dyeing and bleaching each others hair etc pretty much like the movie Suburbia my life back then

    • @rhiannon1833
      @rhiannon1833 5 років тому +1

      Adding onto that: a matching purse that looks like a mummified heart. Then it’d really be Shelley inspired! (Mary Shelly kept Percy’s mummified heart in her writing desk drawer after he died as a symbol of her undying devotion. )

    i'm not as badass as u in this matter but here something u may find interesting for your diy
    u can use onion husks to color light colored clothing similar like using tea
    for metal jewelry or buttons studs etc if u want that antique tint bury it in grounded coffee soak it with water and leave it for 24 hrs
    for sewing try that surgical needle it sounds stupid but they are sharp af but also the shape of it make it easier and faster

    Your 'lock Stitch's looks like 'blanket stitch' to me, but what do I know. Next time I get a tear, instead of repairing it in the same colour, I'm going to use this stitch in a contrasting colour, I think it'll look good.

    • @angelabenedict
      @angelabenedict  5 років тому +1

      I like to haphazardly use this stitch in contrasting colors around the perimeter of tops and dresses. Kinda reminds me of Frankenstein.

  • @1015SaturdayNight
    @1015SaturdayNight 5 років тому

    Oh that's interesting - in bead weaving you use half hitch knots to end thread, apparently that's what you do in lock stitch. That should come pretty naturally for me to remember. Anyway, I was like OMG that's too low plunging! Then I was like duh, layering! OK so my last laddering attempt went sideways. Literally. I need to find a cheap thrift store dress to see if I can get it straight.

      Thanks so much! AH, Bammy-- His liver enzymes were up. He was suffering toxicity due to the steroids. Reg allergy meds do nothing for him and the steroids were the only thing that kept him from becoming red, inflamed and licking his paws until them bled. He was on a fairly high dosage for about a year now and his body can't take it. He began getting calcification's under the skin from it and that must be what he tore apart on his back. He's got topical antibiotics, he's back on the apaquel while being weened off the steroids and has a medication to help stabilize his liver. $500 later - Ah, the things we do for our pets.

    Very sexy dress! ♥.♥ But I have a question (Sorry I'm german and don't understand all ^^'): Where did you do the stich exactly? I don't understand what you say and do from 8:48 to 9:10 because it's too fast >.
