The M5 is a good car, its strength lies in its assisted driving system, which reaches L3 level. I go to work every day, which is 18 kilometers one way and 36 kilometers round trip. I pass through many complex intersections and elevated overpasses. Using the intelligent automatic driving function, it can actively avoid obstacles and cars, choose appropriate lanes and overtake, identify pedestrians, etc., unless it is very special. situation, there is no need for anyone to take over driving.

Nice car Barrett, I am also thinking seriously on buying a Huawei model in Shenzhen. Already checked lots of brands and Huawei, Nio, Li one are the best choices nowadays in China.
Yes, We also looked at many, and we found that the AITO M5 delivered all what we wanted for our budget, which was just over 300K RMB. The interior fit and the technology are really very good indeed, so far after a week or two i'm really impressed..
@@BarrettYT I saw Nio has recently developed a battery with 1000 km range, that’s really impressive. They also have the battery swap stations which is also an advantage. Anyway still think the best cost benefit will be M5 from Huawei.

My guess of why they put in a one week period before letting you have the assisted city driving, is to let the driver familiarize with driving the car, so that in case of emergency the driver could take over?

It's nice to see this video about the M5, your car already contains LiDAR, AITO in the city expressways and highways of the NCA is free, you can try to use it and you will find it like a very experienced driver.
I bought the M7 and opened the city NCA, I have driven more than 8000 kilometers, compared to the last petrol car, it feels like a different era.

Nice video, Im also British living in Shenzhen for 20 years, however i went for the NIO ES8, my wife didn't want to wait for battery charging, we can swap battery in 5 minutes, but i think Huawei autopilot is much smarter. Enjoy your Aito.

We saved up for a long time to finally get it. When selecting this particular car we also considered a tesla, however we concluded we were able to get much more for our money with the AITO M5.

I worked and lived in my hotel in Huangshi (a 3rd tier city) in China, and as far back as 2017 they were already building EV charging station at hotel carparks (including ours) and near restaurants around the city, so not surprising at all. China builds for the near and far futures. So building charging stations before EV becomes rampant makes sense.
