  • We have the biggest #WeekendWingit house ever. We wanted projects and when we bought this house that is exactly what we got. We've had 08347029376428 things we need to do and I can tell you, it's ALL worth it. Each thing we complete brings light and joy! So we had so many questions about our floors when we did them about a month ago. Here is the full video! DIY whitewashed floors. All the things I did and even a giant mess up in the middle. I can say all in all, I love them so much. One worry we had was them holding up. I'm here living to say they are! We adore them and the house is really coming together. So move over HGTV. Our farm is the ultimate project.
    #bless!

For the last 4 years I've been remodeling an 86 year old house that I love with all of my heart. If I white washed the oak floors and they turned out as beautiful as your did I don't know how I would be able to let it go. Every single day I work on this house the harder it is for me to believe that I'm really going to sell it. Thank you for sharing how you transformed your floors to something so beautiful.

For tough old stain/finish I’d use a 16/36 drum sander paper first then 50/80/100. Make sure you go slow first two cuts to remove all finish. Edger sander on perimeter. Instead of white washing with paint, just use country white stain by Duraseal. Much better. Good luck!

Hi I’m considering white washing my floors but I have 2 dogs. 1 lap dog and 1 large dog. My large dog has scratched my hardwood floors bad. I’m afraid if I paint he will do it again. I see you have 2 dogs does the paint come off because of their claws?
