Love our walks on the foreshore looking for wood pieces, it struck me that as you can carve just about anything Jordy could you not just join some pieces to get the shape you want? It might take you a bit longer to find but as you just said you don,t have to be in a hurry!!! Jordy there was a man who once said you need to open your mind now who was that? You should carve that gnarled piece of wood for Larry into a demon face and have the two roots coming off carved into his horns, I would love to have a spot to find wood here in Edmonton AB, haven’t found one yet.
30 ft or meter because the metric system buoy marker. And the lord of the rings term is "Ent" tree beard the tree herder. I do wish that there were good spots to comb in southern california that arent contaminated.

Jordy, how old/dry/seasoned, etc. does wood need to be to carve. (I am a new carver thanks to you!) I live in the mountains and have a few trees in my yard that were cut down about 3 mths. ago (Oak, Poplar and Leyland Cypress). I know the oak is hard as hell. Your advice please! Love your videos!!!
Id say look for sticks or wood that has been falled at least a few years ago, polur and oak is very fuzzy carving when wet, They say wod drys 1 inch a year, Carving wet wood.. u dont know where it will crack, I suggest dry wood with power carving
