Great interview! Mr. Gonzales reinforces what Jim Loehr, Eric Greitens, George Mumford, Troy Baasham, Lanny Baasham, John Wooden, and Thich Nhat Hahn state.
Before competing or at the beginning of my movement and training practice, I perform the "Farmer Burns breathing exercise" and "Elliott Hulse's 'Bioenegizer' Breathing".
Such an incredible interview--I really connected with DC and have already shared this interview, and his new book info with a friend. Can't find much more on him, but I get why... Thanks Brian for consistently sharing quality information. It is a daily ritual to feed the brain good stuff and you make it easy! Thank you Brain, Thank you DC!!
Do not forget, Lars-Erik Unestahl PHD, how started this 50years ago, and he still performance like a 37 years old man, turning 78 years. every day focus on spreading his knowledge.
In tennis, you will see great tennis players control their breath and perform a ritual, between points. In boxing, you will see great boxers breath deeply and perform a ritual, until he or she receives a hard punch or punches, to the head or stomach!
The author brags about task focus and flying fighter jets and not being rattled and yet he can't focus on a question, ironically, about task focus and is so rattled that he asks for a repeat. Interviewer though is an embodiment of mental training, always on point. I wonder if he ever thinks to himself, buddy, why did u not ask your shadow writer to come talk to me as you?
Brian,
Thanks for what you do to help people succeed at whatever is important to them.
