It'd be hilarious if Eminem did his own "clap back" that was intentionally terrible. "Melle Mel? More like Smelly Hell, I can tell"
Reminds me of what he did to MGK, he obliterated him and he only had to put in like half the effort lol
Fun fact
When Em recorded MMLP 2 he did a track that was a tribute to old school hip hop. It was called Don't front but it didn't make it on the album and this shows why Em is one of the best ever because the beat was so old fashioned but his writing and his flow was absolutely gorgeous. Anyone that doesn't like the 2bd part of Em career should definitely listen to that song. Melle mel should listen to it to know how to do an old school rap song
No, just no dont play a part in this cornyness. He should agree with Melle Mel with his apology in regards to the 50th anniversary but in light of the 50th anniversary he should not accept that apology and help Mel come back from his terrible diss and help him try again. It’d be a first but it’d be a good look on em’s part 😆

You gotta understand if this was the late 80s, this would have hit pretty hard, this dudes like 65, I'm kind of shocked that anyone expected anything different. What people expected Melle Mel to sound like this day in age, I have no idea lmao. You thought he was gonna come out with modern day flows and complex wordplay over a trap beat? That's never what he was known for. I'm not saying we should lower the bar or anything but at the same time, what did anyone really expect?

He announces the diss track a few hours before like he was Beyonce level of fame and everyone would be going crazy. Then he drops the diss track. Doesn't even give it a name. Doesn't even give it an artwork. It's a minute long. He gets destroyed by basically everyone. He deletes the diss track off his IG. He writes an apology letter to Em. Gets mocked for that. Deletes the apology
Em has this guy going into an existential crisis over ONE bar 😂😂😂
It’s cringe asf
The fact that it is hard to listen to, IS the definition of cringe. That's what cringing is.
I honestly believe melle mel just hates every rapper that came after his prime. He even dissed run dmc all the way back in 1983 because he didn't like their first single.
He believes he's the best because he was one of the first, forgetting that just because you're an originator of an art form doesn't make you better than everyone else at it. This is full proof of that concept
He also dissed public enemy when they were coming up lol
It's like saying George Mikan was better than Michael Jordan.
Don’t forget he dissed Wu Tang too
Just incase, he means the rapper melle mel, not the big melon himself.
Could be that old man native american anger
Melle Mel's disstrack is the equivalent of giving your grandpa a video game controller for a fighting game, he punches the buttons thinking he's doing something, but when he looks at the screen he sees that he already lost the fight.

Chuck D was praising this aspect of Em the other day on Twitter. Basically saying that he by admitting his own shortcomings takes the air out of the room and leaves his opponent without any ammo
Theres still ammo tho like using the outsiderz. Shouting out old school artist and not working with them but will work with popular new acts who suck.

Funniest comment by far 😂
The point you made about Eminem being immune to personal attacks because of how open and self aware he is is spot on. He's been like this from the beginning, and makes it super clear with the ending of 8 mile where he goes first, mentions everything the other guy was going to, and then basically dares him to come up with something original. Dude is brilliant.
That piss in the elevator bar was a true lyrical miracle

The diss sounded like something your high school would edit the school year video to so they can be "hip."
Friendly reminder that Melle Mell’s highest charting song is Downtown by Macklemore. That’s the level we’re at.
The Heart Part 6 just took this videos whole job
As another comment said, melle Mel doesn’t like those who came after him, it seems. Even public enemy he dissed
Hearing Melle Mel spit garbage in our ears even made hardcore Eminem hater's appreciate his music
I mean it’s almost poetic that a rap legend disses another rap legend in an outdated corny way while the guy he dissed has also been accused of the same. Weirdly beautiful in it’s symmetry.

Eminem won't respond to Melle Mel's diss track. It is best to forget it and never mention it again, and I'd like to think that Em will take the high road. The Pee Wee Herman shot was unfortunate, because we lost Paul Reubens just days before the track came out, and that is just bad luck.
Yeah, the fact that he won't shows you how bad the diss track is. You know you've done effed up if Eminem takes pity on you and spares your more embarrassment. He didn't even let Benzino off lol
Another thing worth noting is Melle Mel's own boasting that he could take Eminem in a rap battle and it would be "the easiest thing I ever did".
why does Mel kinda sound like Corey Feldman on the track?
You didn’t have to kill him damn
Corey Feldman needs to cover this song.
5 seconds of silence at the end of a 1 minute song, the inside of a dishwasher beat, the fast and furious soundtrack flow. Man
When Eminem does the exact thing he does in the ending rap battle of 8 Mile.
"Tell them something they don't know about me."
It shows he takes away all the ammo and why he's untouchable with disses because he always laid out all his flaws.

Remember in "Nail in the Coffin" where Em said "Nobody wants to hear their grandfather rap" to Benzino?
