A security camera is one of the most useful devices these days as it helps to monitor activity around and inside houses and commercial spaces. These cameras help detect anything unauthorised and can also deter and prevent various types of criminal activities. Security cameras can directly provide live feed on television sets, computer and even mobile phones. However sometimes the live feed may flicker and this may prevent us from seeing the coverage properly. If you are experiencing something like this then it is important to know the reason and then solve the problem.

There are several things that can go wrong with a power supply but related problems will always appear in your video as “rolling lines.” These are horizontal lines across your screen that will normally move from bottom to top; lines moving in the opposite are not unheard of so don’t rule it out. The image from your camera will remain behind these lines and will not move with them. This can often be confused with the lines you can get from a ground loop problem, but the lines caused by a group loop will remain in a single static position.
may be that the voltage and/or the amps are too high and is causing the components to over heat and burnout. I've used several cameras in the past which have usually been 12v 500mA to 2 Amps.Some of my salvaged CCTV cams have come without a PSU or ratings so I've always started with a PSU @ 12v 500mA and worked my way up the amps. If the camera works but gets warm at all I lower the amps. If it still gets warm I start again but drop the voltage to 9v.

I have installed ds-7104hqhi-k1 dvr with 2 cameras of 2mp ds-2ce16d0t-irc us main problem yeh hai kay dono cameras ek adapter par ON kiya to ek camera clear or ek double image dey raha hai. Pir dono kay adapter alag alag laga diya ek camera ON ho gay or dosara No Video dey Raha Hai, pir jab DC volt ka negative ko dvr kay say earth kiya tu us camera ka video ON ho gaya jo NO Video show kar raha tha lekin double image ka problem still tha same. Bnc, adapter, dc pin, cctv cable, even kay camera or dvr b change kiya pir b double image ka aur earth to dvr of dc volt problem still the same. Any solution sir

Maine Hikvision ka 16 channel 2mp dvr aur 2mp camera install kiyahai . Sir problem ye ho rhi hai ki jyse hi room ka led light on karta hu to black line aane lagta hai aur wo line upar ki aur jata hua dikhta hai lekin light off kar dene se normal show karta hai live video. Maine power supply bhi change kar k dikhe aur arthing bhi de k dekhe camere ka setting se bhi dekhe problem solve nhi hua.
