If grounding is done improperly, you may see bands rolling on the screen, if this is the case, there is an interference problem called the ground loop.

This problem basically occurs when the camera, DVR or power source groundings are made at distinct points that have different resistances, this causes an effect called a ground loop.
To solve the ground loop problem simply ground the equipment to the same common point (ground bus) or leave one side (camera) without contact with the ground.

A practical example would be to place a wood, plastic or other insulation material on the back of the camera mounting bracket so that it does not come in direct contact with the post or wall that is installed.
There's also a solution with ground loop isolators that can easily eliminate the problem

I have same problem one question if current continuously flow to ground via earth is current wastage cause wastage of electricity .Toh hamein earth leakage kyun ho rha hai use hi khatam karna hoga agar continuous leak rha separate earthing se solve to ho jayega par power wastage tk bani rahegi

Sir mera setup 8ch (2.4MP *4 + 5MP* 4) CP PLUS ka hai jisme dvr bhi cp plus ka hai lagwae hue 5months hue h. Usme maine cp plus power supply 10Amp ki lagai thi 1 month theek chali lekin uske baad saare 5mp camera me tilted lining aa rahi thi mechanic ne connector change kiya koi fayda nhi hua. Fir usne Hi focus ki 8Amp(1 amp each) waali lagai kuch din theek chala lekin ab kabhi ek to kabhi kisi aur camera me double vision aa raha hai Iss baar dono 2.4mp aur 5mp me. kuch camere me vertical coloured bands night vision me (1inch ke) aa rahe hai jo ki left se right move kar rahe hai aaj maine dekha ki 5mp waale me input 12V 2A likha h to kya 20Amp waali supply lagane se sahi ho jaega?
Kuch camera me wire distance 60ft h. Wire me cut bhi nhi h agar ye connector ki dikkat hoti to ek do me aata lekin ye sabme randomly aata hai.

I also have the same problem here when I connect the LCD to XVR, through the HDMI, the lines start coming in and as soon as I get them out of the hd mi LCD or XVR, the lines are completely over and these lines do not come out all day, but the problem is not resolved but as soon as I remove the HDMI from the LCD, the line ends. I feel that the LCD earthing is doing what you say about this line coming up.
Thanks for the info , I have a TV which is not displaying anything with hdmi cable connected to DVR, but same DVR is showing display on another TV with the same hdmi cable .I believe it's the problem with earthing as the TV where it's not displaying is an mi TV with 2 pin switch while the other tv has a 3 pin switch which is easily displaying DVR . What can i do to solve this ?
