Having owned many cars, I detail the first steps I take after purchase. My new to me Toyota FJ Cruiser gets rinsed, waxed, undercoat rust protection with fluid film, UV protected plastics, and paint and windshield chips repaired. I save headlight restoration for the next video.

They have a rust lawsuit for fjs... better get involved in it .

Thank you, I was not aware. I believe the lawsuit was dismissed but I could be wrong.

How long does the job take if you drop off at shop?

Or quick spray?

@StewsReplay It should take an hour or two, especially since they have it up on a rack. Find someone specialized in the service.

Hey nice tutorial. Do you do inside frame wash
I’m looking at a FJ Cruiser and know they can rust out frame cracks.

I just did a rinse on the inside of the frame to get all the salts out before spraying the inside frame with massive amounts of the Fluid Film.

Surface shield and fluid film are great waxes to keep rust at bay. I use it on my cars to keep rust from growing. Plastic restore will work for a couple weeks, need to apply again often, not much that can be done. Don't burn it!

Yes, agreed on the plastic restore. I usually get about a month out of it. I consider it like sunscreen. If it is going to be a sunny month, then apply!
