The amount of what would be once in a lifetime songs for other people this guy has wrote is unbelievable. Just bleeds amazing songs. Stay With Me is perhaps the perfect rock song. Then compare that to something equally as exquisite in a different way such as The Shadowlands or Avenues. Just remarkable. Whatever you think of him, his songwriting legacy is proper.

The first four songs are among the best live recorded music I have ever heard. The genius of Ryan Adams playing with great intuitive musicians who really know the material and love playing with each other. This is what inspired music sounds like ❤❤

I was about at the end of my rope and was planning my end.. Then I stumbled upon His music just by chance one day and I'm like wow he's got quite the library and I needed to hear more n more and it became my obsession and I forgot about everything else. He literally saved my life
Probably THE most under rated singer songwriter....ever? His music is amazing, it's healed me when i didn't know i was broken.
If only he didn't drop F bombs in the middle of his best songs. That assures zero play even on the soft rock stations. I really admire his convictions, and I'm sure he is happy without making the $200M he could have.

The MeToo movement started off admirably until it devolved into a divide and conquer conspiracy to pit men and women against each other. Same thing happened with Aziz Ansari. Conventionally, it's up to the man to make sexual advances. It's not fair to attack us for doing so. He was accused of being emotionally abusive. We've all been in unhealthy relationships. They divorced and that is that. We don't need to know what happened behind closed doors, that is nobody's business.
He hasn't even been picked up for questioning, let alone charged, indicted, and convicted. Last I checked this is still the USA and people here are innocent until proven guilty.
He was at the peak of his powers here. The coolest man in the world touring an unbelievable self titled record with countless incredible songs in his back catalogue to pepper into the set too. This was an amazing time in my life.
Watching Ryan flip the switches then dial in his piece on “Do I Wait” is a showcase of his talent. Dude is in the zone.

As a major Van Morrison fan for over 40 years, I will admit Ryan is catching up and passing him, mainly because Van's best music is getting pretty old.
I've met Van Morrison 2 times in Dublin and both times he was an absolute a hole, his mucic is still great tho and im still a huge fan.

Man it reall reminds me of the interludes The Doors would go through.... Dynamically in the music he,s also playing a similar Gibson guitar so it enhancea that tonal feel... His dynamics control from clean to distorted Wha Wha ish.... Of courae it is its own thing... But at times through the song the licks sound very LSDish and late 60s.... Really love it!

Yeah really, he's always annoyed so much. Poser is the first word that comes to mind. Just the way he looks. He overdoes it trying to look cool. Sometimes he'll be a Punk rocker then next he's Bob Dylan circa 1976.
