Brilliant. I love Kali, it is my favorite martial art and I am proud to be a practitioner of this amazing art. The parry-salute technique is one of my favorites so far, it opens so many opportunities for elbow strikes, blocks, traps... it's ingenious. Thank you for making these tutorials. Yours are some of the best kali technique videos I've seen yet. Very concise, clear, and professional.
I am a 2 year student and still do mostly single stick in class. I wish I could do more of this. It would give me more confidence to start using public transit in Chicago again
Kepp up your training. Training double weapons will train your empty hand. Replace stick with blade and see its applications. check out www.artofblade.com and opt in for courses!
Interesting, I have never trained my self, but have two sons that are black belts in Kenpo Karate, so I have sat in on almost all their classes. Basically, there are three commonalities here. I would describe them as Block (the strike), Control (the aggression), and Strike (neutralize the aggression) this seems very similar to GCT.
Good advice. I am a litle bit confuse. What is the different between clipping and trapping? Your possition of body and arm is different. When bad guy is heavy or his punch is strenght and arm speed is fast the clipping is more accurate to hold the arm.
