    Once you're on a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP), it's over. Start architecting a lawsuit and work on a strategy to make the company pay you to leave. Turn the carrot and stick into lawsuit stew. If a manager calls you out in front of peers, it's time to get a new manager by any means necessary. Good managers don't do that. If you admit to anything in a PIP, you lower the value of your claim if you sue.

    Honestly speaking, these strategies look good on paper and works well in an ideal Company, with an ideal manager and so on.

    PIP is mostly done when managers have personal grudges or biasness. It is nearly impossible for am employee to prove the evidence wrong and give written prooves against it. When someone is strategically put in PIP a lot of thngs by the manager are done verbally and the atmosphere is so toxic. It is not worht the fight.

      exactly.
      Sometimes the manger even persuades the company that the employee will pay a penalty for no reason.
      Only then fnf will happen.
      I have seen the most toxic manager in capgemini.

    PIP is just a fancy way of terminating employee without repercussions. If you're on PIP, just prepare well and focus on interviews. There's 80% chance of not clearing PIP assignments.
    You may think of legal recourse,however, always remember: this is India and not US.

    90% of time people in PIP will get fired , from the cases I have seen in past software experience as it is due to mainly lack of funding in projects and ego clashes. Proving yourself out of PIP might not a best strategy , it is emotionally taxing and even might not worth it in my opinion as I have seen many cases in software industry in past experience with younger resources put into PIP. It is better to move on and do upskilling for 3-4 months instead of playing a hero or a rising phoenix in current company.

    Great wisdom! 1 question: Is it a good practice to share the offer letter in order to get a higher package from the next organization? Since that is confidential. How to handle this scenario when the next organization wants to see (by sharing) the previous offer letter? Thanks in advance and all the best .

    Why it is happened in MNS that Interviewer is different person and actual manager is different ? A very decent, intelligent person is an interviewer and you will fill it's an opportunity to work under them and shockingly your immediate manager is a newly taken a role a manger.

    Varsha Ma'am Thank You so much for your valuable and insightful tips which will surely have an incalculable impact on many young professionals like us! I had a question about the first scenario that you shared. Let's say someone in our team who is not our manager and is rather a senior in the team passes an underhand negative remark via another colleague and requests that colleague to withhold his/her identity and says things like, "This attitude is not tolerable" and all? How should we react in such situations?

    • @theCorporateDiaries
      @theCorporateDiaries  9 місяців тому +4

      Dear, if you have not got the feedback "first hand", then there is nothing to react on that, because ideally that feedback reached you by chance.. in such situations the only thing you can do is to ensure from your own side that if there was any mistake, it shouldn't be repeated and if there was nothing at all, then chill... there are many things beyond our control, keep doing your best and leave the rest!!

    I have given only one technical interview, there was no manager or HR discussion to one of the company later that initial interview, HR says the lead who took the interview was happy with my answers and really good there will not be any further interviews. So, they have sent me an email not formal offer letter Didn't mention the salary details in the mail, says on the day of joining they will give me formal appointment letter with all the details and formalities required. Should I consider accepting that offer or reject? Yesterday I sent a followup email asking about formal offer letter but instead of replying to that mail HR called and said he will sent me salary breakup mail but didnt send me the same. Looks like something FISHY.

    Mam could you suggest how to tackle the problem of being Over-worked in a new job as fresher where we have to work 10-12 hrs a day instead of 8 hours ? Also how to negotiate or ask the new interviewer/boss when applied for another company to work for ? Is it a good strategy to be Frank & honest about working hours..but some people take it as Rude if fresher candidates are asking or demanding such things so how to deal with the situations...
