Kronwall on Hemsky is so funny to me because of how little Nick moves. Most of that impact is Hemsky trying to wheel around with his head down as fast as possible.
I was at the game when Mike Weaver destroyed Patrick Sharp and I’ve been to quite a few hockey games in my life but I’ve never heard a pop like I heard when Weaver leveled Patrick Sharp. The closest comparison would be going to a rams game years ago and hearing the sound of a safety making a hard tackle, but other than that nothing comes close to the sound of that hit. Oddly enough Patrick Sharp got right up and kept playing, so props to him for toughing that out.
Funny story, as I kid growing up in columbus I watched RJ Umberger play hockey at The Ohio State university. Season tickets for college hockey was cheap and he became my child hero. I was so sad when he wasnt staying in ohio. My dad worked a few months in DC and we came down to visit and we went to that game. My first time seeing my college hockey idol play NHL hockey live and he got completly train wrecked. And they kept replaying that hit on the big screen to add salt on the wound. Im shocked I didnt cry.
I'm a washed up old man now, what I really enjoyed about this video is that all the hits were clean and legal. I used to lay people out with clean hits regularly. I never wanted to leave the team shorthanded.... Of course the older I get, the better I was!
Dustin Byfuglien was a Monster on the Ice. I will always remember him as a Force to be reckoned with while on the Ice. He use to dish out the Pain to other Skaters each and every single time Big Buf stepped on the Ice no matter what organization he was playing for, Big Buf made a impact
Damn you got most of the best hits ever here. Good work. Only one I can think of that belongs but isn’t featured is the Corey Sarich hit when he was playing in the minors. Sent buddy head over heels.
Maybe its not available because of video rights, but I was in the arena during the 2010 Olympic game between Russia and the Czech Republic when Ovi obliterated Jagr at centre ice. A truly titanic collision.
God damn, I love hockey. What other sport can you have a bone crushing hit followed by a bunch of dudes saying "no, we're going to drop them" and it's just a some penalties. No crying, no lawsuits, just good old fashioned men being men.
Dustin Byfuglien rag dolling Kopitar and Daughty will always be my fav. Duncan Keith in game 4 against Nashville is a nasty one because he goes off screen and you just know who he lines up before it even happens.
The best part is that the vast majority of hits in this pack are clean and legal hockey plays. Not all, but most. Keep your heads up boys, you never know who's around the corner.
Campbell on RJ Umberger is the hardest hit I've ever seen. The full view shows campbell coming all the way from the bench! There's an old school hit from the early 90's, I think it's Peter Zezel, not sure, but absolute bomb of a hip check on the breakout...
How come hockey has hits like these and the guys get up, but someone sneezes on an NFL player and out comes the ambulance while the NFL has to change all the rules to make it more safe.
every hit that knocked a guy out was to the head. A few of these were also straight to the head but the player on the receiving end was lucky enough to stay awake
Still think Kronwall's hit on Havlat was one of the most perfect hits of all time, shame it was ruined by Byfuglien and other Hawks players being idiots and almost cutting his face off with their skates
Love how players are getting murdered and play just casually continues (for the most part). If these hits happened today, they would result in fights lol.
I hate Montreal but god damn that last hit was dirty. There’s no case for an accident. The head was the principal point of contact. I like huge hits but not dirty ones
Kronwall on Hemsky is so funny to me because of how little Nick moves. Most of that impact is Hemsky trying to wheel around with his head down as fast as possible.
I saw that hit in person it was a beautiful but hard hit
That 3:07 Campbell hit on Umberger was pure murder.
cringed looking at the dude's face. i've taken some pretty hard hits, but he was on a completely different planet.
The broadcast call was perfect as well.
Biggest legal hit I've ever seen in my life, and those Sabres jerseys were sick!
Love that hit and the commentary that goes with it.
umberger had the face of a man who just met god his soul got shot to different plain of existence
I'm not a Detroit fan but boy do I miss Kronwall
PK's hit on Marchand will never cease to put a smile on my face.
Even as a bruins fan I have to appreciate that hit. Especially as a player myself, I find that hit especially impressive
I love this channel. The editing is excellent. It’s just so easy to watch and enjoy.

1:36 - Konstantinov #16 Detroit one of the best clean open ice hitters in his time and even today. His defensive awareness was on another level.
Had he not gotten into that car crash I think he’d have won a couple of Norris trophies. He had Lidstroms awareness and Mike Tyson’s demeanor
As a wings fan, whenever I saw anyone playing the wings in this video near the top or bottom of the blue line, I knew kronwall was coming in 🤣
Video should just be called haha. Also i love the storyline around the Kariya hit, so good
As a red wings fan, it’s good to see we’re giving it a lot more than we seem to be receiving it
Good times they were 🥲
Love the channel. Your consistency is great and I love the way you format these videos
Scott stevens can do it but nowadays it's a suspension
Love the consistency of the uploads 👍
We used to have compilations like this when I was a kid, we called them rock ‘em sock ‘em.
This video could literally be a highlight reel of Big Buffs career. That guy wrecked people
I'm a washed up old man now, what I really enjoyed about this video is that all the hits were clean and legal. I used to lay people out with clean hits regularly. I never wanted to leave the team shorthanded.... Of course the older I get, the better I was!
Pronger was just a man amongst boys.
As a wings fan there’s a reason we called it getting Kronwalled
Love that 4 of these are from Kronwall
Dustin Byfuglien was a Monster on the Ice. I will always remember him as a Force to be reckoned with while on the Ice. He use to dish out the Pain to other Skaters each and every single time Big Buf stepped on the Ice no matter what organization he was playing for, Big Buf made a impact
Thé amount of detroits hits 😂😂
I love how 4 of these are Kronwall, truly a menace.
Get increasingly more violent.
Has Kronwall knocking Havlat out cold in the middle but the Hemsky hit after it.
Damn you got most of the best hits ever here. Good work. Only one I can think of that belongs but isn’t featured is the Corey Sarich hit when he was playing in the minors. Sent buddy head over heels.
Increasingly more violent but not ending with some stevens hits? The big e would like a word with you...
Dude, your videos are the best. Love that you have the commentary and not some soundtrack playing.
Kronwall pronger and byfuglien man those are huge hits!
@ 0:45 KRONWALLED !
My new favorite hockey channel. So far I watched all your videos and they're easy to watch also.
Hate how every good clean hard hit now these days has players from both sides immediately gather and start fighting
Dustin Byfuglien was a monster, you could make a whole video of just his hits.
Tootoo on Frolik was pretty nasty but Big Buff on Mark Stone was just disrespectful. Good vid!
Kronwall was on some next level shit!! #LGRW
2:35 was sent on a spin cycle
I swear 75% of these clips involve either Detroit or Colorado. No wonder their brawl was so historic.
Idk man that Subban hit on Marchand was pretty damn violent lol it was like watching a freight train hit a hatchback
Best hit in my opinion
Literally the hardest hit I’ve ever seen, no idea how it’s only third in this video lol
Hall on Larsen behind the net was also a really strong hit, felt like it was a little early
Never step into Kronwalls office with your head down.
The Kronwall archives
Campbell on RJ Umberger is the hardest hit I've ever seen. The full view shows campbell coming all the way from the bench! There's an old school hit from the early 90's, I think it's Peter Zezel, not sure, but absolute bomb of a hip check on the breakout...
Did the guy hit at 1:29 live?
Nothing better than a big clean hockey hit
Schieffle hit on Evans should have been the last one, that was ridiculous.
This was a an illegal hit. Just like the last two in this video.
That's a bullshit hit man...
The lucic hit with the glass breaking is my favourite
My favorite part of the video was listening to Buffalo’s announcer going WAHBUHWAYBUGUHHAYBUH or however he talks.
mccabe on laine will never fail to be amazingly satisfying
The latest, dirtiest hit was Stevens on Kariya…Still the dirtiest play in NHL history.
😂😂😂
Kronwall was filthy
This could be just a 4 min vid of kronwall hits
All clean hits, too.
Let’s face it, everyone of these should be Kronwall hits. (Except the one on Umberger )
How does hitting in hockey work. Can you only like hit guy on the puck?
Darcy Tucker hit takes the cake for me 👌👌
Love how like 3 of these are Byfuglien hits 😂
How come hockey has hits like these and the guys get up, but someone sneezes on an NFL player and out comes the ambulance while the NFL has to change all the rules to make it more safe.
Takeaway From The Video:
Get Kronwalled
Never realized how violent hockey is until
man I love hockey
A few of these are hits to the head and they're absolutely brutal my guy
every hit that knocked a guy out was to the head. A few of these were also straight to the head but the player on the receiving end was lucky enough to stay awake
great, but that pk back bee sting... that def belongs later in the video.
0:20 adding injury to insult XD
Still think Kronwall's hit on Havlat was one of the most perfect hits of all time, shame it was ruined by Byfuglien and other Hawks players being idiots and almost cutting his face off with their skates
That hit is an obvious assault on head with intent to injure.
Oshie's *hits* on Rick Nash were beautiful.
3:36 who is the penguin player
Svech on Lindholm?
Big hits but they’re from 10+ years ago, when hockey was actually worth watching.
Outro music?
blazo - reflecting purple
Neil on Boychuck is missing.
Krugs hit was a sweet revenge on some bullshit that happened up ice
The tucker hit just sounds like 2000s hockey I don’t know how to explain it
4 minutes and 6 seconds of nothing but smiles
How is Kunitz on Timonen not in here??
My mom would have cry watching this
I counted 4 that got Kronwalled!
Love how players are getting murdered and play just casually continues (for the most part). If these hits happened today, they would result in fights lol.
No Tootoo?
The whole video should just be Scott Stevens hits
Ahhh back when hockey was a little more enjoyable to watch
Kapanen went from vertical to horizontal in 0.03 seconds
this is like yassified boxing
Epic video
I wanted to see Kassian in the 2017 Playoffs!
What should I post next?
Scott Stevens hits!
painful blocked shot, with the same "getting worse/better" format. it's so good!
hope to see the 2 pucks to the Laperiere's face!
Playoff Saves That Get More Electrifying
Missed calls that eventually led to goals.
Matt martin hit on trouba :)
Great comp but the Duncan Keith hit on victor arvidsson game4 is more violent than almost if not any of these clips u GOTTA check that one out
beautiful
What a great video . I only think the Krug hit is way too high as he is 4 foot 11 and needed to take 20 strides to throw that hit
2:43 my personal timestamp
the title of this video should be "dirty hits but they become increasingly more illegal"
lol i’ll make that video
@@HecticHockey how about a "dives, but they get increasingly more gutless?"
Lots of charging in there
I hate Montreal but god damn that last hit was dirty. There’s no case for an accident. The head was the principal point of contact. I like huge hits but not dirty ones
You missed a pretty violent one that happened to cris Draper on Detroit
Hall on Larsson was so scary. I remember when that happened... feels like yesterday.
Took so many strides to make that hit, should have been a charging penalty
what made it even more scary was all the player almost dog piling on him while he’s out cold
Dustin brown on Henrik Sedin should’ve been in here
Let’s never forget Kronwall almost committed a homicide mid ice.
The concussion ones are hard to watch
I figured Brooks Orpik would've been on here at least once.
0:48 elbowing
There’s a lot of that in this viddy lol
