Girl. VoicePlay’s cover of “I Can’t Make You Love Me” will make you cry.
Cesar is also heavily featured in their cover of “We’re Good”.
You also need to hear their cover of Nothing Else Matters. Yes, the Metallica song.

Anyone who appreciates the angelic perfection that is Cesar De La Rosa's voice is a #1 reactor in my book ❤

We don't put our tree up until December first, and it comes down January first. We call him Anthony G. Caesars' facial expressions just make me want to cry with him. Thank you Eli for arranging this song to be family friendly.

yeah, VoicePlay's Halloween content is FAR from the only thing this group has to offer, lol. that's just their super goofy, super theatrical side. they can blow you away in any genre, any style, any song. just go through their catalogue and pick what ever song that interests you, and they will blow you away with their creativity and talent 🥰

This is definitely one of their top five for me. I love that Cesar leads it, his voice is so perfect for this, it just gives me goosebumps, especially when you see the tears in his eyes at the end! And Anthony Gargiula (said GarJoola) has this despairing, tender quality that fits perfectly too. And Geoff...ah heck, they *ALL* just NAILED this one!

I wasn't familiar with the song, but had heard that Pentatonix had just done it on 'The Masked Singer', so I was kind of surprised when I heard VoicePlay was covering it, thought they were just setting them up to be criticized for doing something another group had just done. But...damn!, what an emotional journey these guys put us through. It wasn't until after I had heard their version that I went back and listened to Radiohead's version, and I thought there was a BIG difference in the emotion displayed. When Radiohead gets to the 'louder' parts of the song, they honestly just sound angry and unhinged, VoicePlay notches up the despair and the hurt when they do those parts, upping the poignancy of the song. If you're up for feeling a bit down again, LOL, I would suggest VoicePlay's version of "I Can't Make You Love Me", Cesar starts that one off as well, and that hurt, emotion and vulnerability he can convey is just astounding.

I thought the same - that PTX just put this song out but with the timing, VoicePlay was already working on their version and probably done with it by the time PTX released theirs. Otherwise I’m sure they wouldn’t have chosen the same song and such close timing with releases lol

Voiceplay is it for me. I appreciate the other acapella groups, but for me, they don't hold a candle to Voiceplay. After they did this, which had us all in tears, they gave us Drunken Sailor. Still tears, but tears of laughter!
Subscribed in anticipation of more Voiceplay and Geoff!!

...And this is why I always say that their Halloween stuff (and particularly "Oogie Boogie song") ain't the "right song" to understand Voiceplay 😁. Understand me, they're good, but they're Halloween stuff, made to be fun and theatrical in that particular way. 🙂
But they are so much more than that... 🙂
They cover pretty much every genre you can think of (well... almost 😅), and they'll blow your mind away in every single song. 🙂
You can try their cover of Metallica's "Nothing else matters" for proof... and then go through (as an example) their Vikings pair ("My mother told me" and "Valhalla calling"), and then jump into classical music with their hilarious, yet virtuosistic, rendition of "In the hall of the Mountain King", and then jump to Broadway with one of their medleys... "Wicked", for example. Then you'll need some relax... What better than a Disney song like "We don't talk about Bruno", that is so good that Disney itself hired them to perform it at a Corporate private event? And then you could try another Disney song, but a villain song this time... "Hellfire", from "Hunchback of Notre Dame". Ok, now it's the turn of one light-hearted, romantic song with a touch of cute weirdness... "Golden hour". And, but just to go back to the tears, "I can't make you love me"... 😉
I could go on for hours 😂.
And don't forget that Geoff has his own solo channel... And the Dwarves are waiting for you there! 😀.
    See you next time!

Loved your reaction! If you're up for more emotional ones - check out their covers of Cindi Lauper's True Colors and Bonnie Raitt's "Can't Make you Love Me." Cesar sings lead in the last one, btw... Both are simply stunning.

Gar - jewl ' - la If you want to see a couple more that show Cesar's voice perfectly, check out his final audition becoming a member of VoicePlay - We're Good. He and Anthony as well as Eli (rhymes with jelly also known as Rock God). Layne is the beatboxer and Geoff the bass. See Seven Nation Army with Anthony. Try Nothing Else Matters (Metallica), In the Air Tonight (Phil Collins), Valhalla Calling (Miracle of Sound), Hellfire (Hunchback of Notre Dame), I Can't Make You Love Me (Bonnie Raitt), Drunken Sailor. Geoff has non--acapella solos, check out I See Fire, Sound of Silence, Jack's Lament, Man of Constant Sorrow.

Sorry, but I am not a fan of this cover of "Creep", as I feel it lacks the pure emotion of the original in favor of fitting in all of the singers of VoicePlay. This is not an insult to VoicePlay, of whom I am a great fan, but rather a critique of the overall performance compared to the original Radiohead version. I prefer the original, due to the emotion portrayed in the lead vocals compared to the cover's.
Though a valiant effort -- this one fell short in my opinion.
